  1. Bring shelters if you got them. Rain in the forecast. If rain ground will be extra sloppy

  3. I think the militarization of the police began in the 20 and 30s when criminals could easily acquire surplus weapons and took the time to learn how to use them. Cops were outgunned so they got the equivalent firepower. Fast forward to today and the myth is spread that so many criminals have and use main battle rifles and equivalents that Cops must have greater firepower to protect and serve.
  4. If it's the only reason you use the service provider. In this case the provider failed to build a relationship with the customer to overcome a failure in the key element retaining the customer's business.
  5. The full version is also on YouTube
  6. I woke up at DCCCXXVII this morning.
  7. I hope to post a positive carbine review soon. I'll be trying out mine at Randy's rifle class next Saturday. I bought it for plinking but why not see if it can be an effective short range (25-35 yards) and home defense gun. I upgraded to the TS stock, popped on a BSA red dot and have 6 mags. I'm curious how it holds up and functions.

  9. That's probably an AOW under the sea...
  10. I'm guessing Martin will finally finish writing the epic and release books with the disclaimer "based on HBO's award winning series"
  11. Must have been on a Saturday, way too many people home from work and school on a sunny afternoon.
  12. Use a passphrase...like "My wife is a gun nut" Spaces are "symbols" and a letter can be replaced by a number. My w1fe 1s a gun nut
  13. I don't reload, but youse guys "re-purposing" ingenuity is pretty darn cool. Thanks for sharing quality information and advice!
  14. My first 1911 was a metro arms commander. I think Dolo's go to handgun is a 5" Metro with all mim parts swapped to higher quality replacements. Their line has expanded to include some pretty cool variants, many in your 450 - 800 price point. Fwiw, my next 1911 style will be in 9mm
  15. 75B Omega and a SDP from CZC here. The only mechanical failure I've had with thousands of rounds through both handguns is the trigger bar spring broke in my 75B.
  16. Noticed a plethora of SCSD around the Fast Cash / Krystal / Pilot area about an hour ago. Overhead a conversation at the Pilot that a vehicle was in the fast cash parking lot hood up apparently broken down. The 2 people with the vehicle tried to get the jump on the folks opening the fast cash this morning.
  17. I think they're taking advantage of location. Not much competition in the area.
  18. As a bit of a history buff, you are correct, the Romans perfected capital punishment. Used it both as a very public announcement of the consequences for breaking the law and entertainment for the Mob.
  19. http://gods411.blogspot.com/2013/04/how-jesus-dies-for-you.html?m=1 He suffered, died and was buried and on the third day He rose in fulfillment of the Scriptures! If you don't believe, it's still a horrific FYI. Happy Easter to all with my prayers you rejoice in the unconditional and un-earned love, mercy, grace and peace of God. My He touch your hearts and minds so you may know Him better.
  20. Not sure if full body armor would have helped in a head on with a pick up. The human brain has 80 billion neurons with 100 trillion connections..now you know
  21. Think what the NRA could do with all the funds directed to lobbying efforts.
  22. I'm glad we have representation in DC and I assume the NRA is well managed. What an awesome business model for the Lobbyist industry: get paid to peddle pull and influence to protect the 2A (or put forth / push back an agenda) This leech of an industry which generates hundreds of millions per year in fees shouldn't exist and because of the state of politics. The NRA (and by default, us) are forced to participate in these questionable practices upon which our guv'mint operates.
  23. I support the NRA because it's cool to have a Lobbyist. Make no mistake about it and being such it's about the money because what that $348 mill can do. These guys are using our donations to gain access to elected servants to wine and dine them in order to HOPEFULLY influence what these clowns SHOULD be doing. This is how we protect our rights and freedoms today just as others use their Lobbyists to stifle our rights and freedoms all the while trying to promote their agenda. If the NRA spends a 1/4 each for operating expenses (salaries, etc) marketing/awareness (all media) and safety programs that would leave 87 mill in the budget for direct interactions with legislators and key staffers...very rudimentary math but that about $162,000 for each of the 535 congressional offices...
  24. Is that Tom Hanks?
