Mountain Dew is my last vice. Quit smoking, rarely drink alcohol (substituted w/ MD) and don't gamble with the milk money. Current snack is Snyder Pretzel pieces, cheddar cheese, $3.69 for the broken pretzels they can't sell...

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. From our Declaration of Independence. What recourse will you have when guv'mint ignores your voice and votes to exercise your right and duty to change guv'mint? Perhaps those who believe "it will never happen here" are prepared for peaceful demonstrations, beatings and imprisonment to effect change. Guv'mint knows exactly why the 2A exists, so they attack and undermine using feelings and emotions to divide the American public they "serve"

M855/SS109 5.56 Ban!!! AKA Green Tip
A.J. Holst replied to mcordell's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Using the argument of more kids and cops will be killed by AR-pistol toting thugs was simply ridiculous. Is it probable an AR-pistol will be used in a criminal act or murder? Yes, just like every other firearm re - purposed by criminals for illegal activities. -
It took a lot not to whip someone's ass today

You are a good (and the better) man. It is possible the old guy had early dementia or always mentally challenged. The security tape would have gone viral - the "cripple" beating the snot out of the guy with his crutch. -
How about the "well informed"? In any retailer or gun show, legal buyers and gun enthusiasts (many of whom I assume are safe shooters) use terms like assault rifle, tactical and my favorite CLIP. Do I give my potentially unwanted .02 or let then live in blissful ignorance. In civilian hands all rifles are purposed for sport for primary use. Any rifle can be used for assault. In civilian hands to protect hearth and home from invaders of ALL kinds.

What can I tell my father?
A.J. Holst replied to glowdotGlock's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I like the offer of a detail and replace the ammo. When you give it back, let him know you did a little research and the new ammo is "better according to the internet" Then take him shooting and see if you can get something else in his hand to "test drive" -

If you bought it to sell to the collector? I have a 3" Gemini Customs SP which which sure is pretty and has a high emotional value (to me) Shoot and enjoy!

I was shooting my 995 carbine today, flawless as usual. Only tip would be checking the mags. The guys over on the HP forum recommend loading 8 rounds and letting them sit for 2 weeks. The other is the mag lips occasionally need to be tweaked. Should be pretty easy to find the spec with just a Google search. Welcome to the big bang for your buck club!

What happens when you run out of producers to feed the looters overseen by the new aristocracy of pull and power with no moral compass whatsoever.

This is why soft holsters are bad

How worn out is that Galco to be as pliable as indicated in the photo? Equipment and user fail. -
Same reason I sold my Bersa Thunder Plus- 15 rounds of .380 goodness...I enjoyed shooting it recreationally and I don't reload.

"Everything mechanical breaks eventually"... my Glock 19 did.
A.J. Holst replied to Jamie Jackson's topic in Handguns
It broke at some point, continued to function and you found out when you got home. Nice to know if it even happens again and you in a bad place it should still work. The fact Glock will replace/repair no questions asked and you've got a backup, what's not to love. It reinforces the argument for a 2nd "primary" What if it broke and locked up in class? My wife's nightstand gun is a G3 G17 and she prefers the ergonomics over my CZ's (which is a good deal for me) -
American Eagle 5.56 Green Tip Ammo Panic
A.J. Holst replied to Will's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Curiosity got me cruising ArmsList. .66 / round at the low end. hope these profiteers take it in the shorts...especially since there is movement in both houses of Congress to stop this clear violation of the 2A, using half truths and misdirection to illicit emotions as opposed to fact -

Priceless, especially your dad's expression when he looks at the camera. My opinion: stereo types are funny when coupled with intelligent humor and comedy. Thanks for posting, haven't heard from you lately.

Illinois reminds me of New York. Get 30 miles into rural areas of "liberal" states and my guess is folks are normal. It's the population density of the cities that drive the agendas for the entire state.

Glad to see Bud's wants you back. As far as front line retail clerks being aware...you work in a dedicated gun store it's not like you are covering the gun department and work in housewares like in a big box retailer. Before the clerk or customer gets loud, wave a manager over!

On episode 7. Can't figure out what Doug's agenda is.

Concur, not sure what the gratuitous trash brings to the show. I too stopped at episode 3 last night and currently resisting the couch as I type

The thunder plus is awesome.

Is now on Netflix. Naked ambition and ruthlessness.

And he did guest star as a 12" action figure on BBT. Proof he had a great sense of humor.
