Thinking of getting a dog...please choose rescue.
A.J. Holst replied to Trekbike's topic in General Chat
Is it rescue when they show up uninvited and you feed them because it's dead of winter? -
An Interesting Question. What If...

AMEN! 85%-95% of Muslims are not "terrorists" per many national security agencies...so only 50,000,0000 - 150,000,000 followers are committed to the literal teaching of Islam. -
Elton John? Liberace would be an owner!

Preacher's Kid Wife With Big Honkin' Gun
A.J. Holst replied to EssOne's topic in Women's Perspectives
My wife's "upgrade" from .22 is a G-lock 17. No reason for a compact anything as she doesn't carry. She likes it better than my CZs, so I dodged that proverbial bullet. It still leaves me scratching my head when I see anyone with limited to no handgun experience purchasing a sub-compact, high-perceived-recoil making it an un-fun-to-shoot pistol as a first handgun... -
And Jesus said, "their is no greater love than to die for one's friends." Thank you to the families of those friends who loved us without knowing us, other than as an American Citizen.

When government and business merge... Insurance companies are in, millions of new customers and guaranteed stop - loss by the guv'mint. Big Pharma is in, their biggest customer, guv'mint, agreed to pay wholesale +, whereas everywhere else in the world; guv'mint pays cost+. Large employers with traditional lower hourly wage workers are in, cut the hours, hire more people and get a waiver. Oh and at full steam, represents 16% of GDP...8-9 elsewhere in the world. Unsustainable to say the least. Worried about guv'mint controlling your health? What about your food? ADM and Monsanto are in the money making business and I'll bet they got a few lobbyists of their own cruising DC.

Orange Beach and Gulf Shores Alabama area restaurants

I'll second McGuire's, great experience at the Pensacola location. -
I believe it is this year where employer provided insurance begins to get taxed. Meaning the portion of the premium paid by your employer becomes taxable income. When NPR brings in a guy to talk about how we can't sustain the program, throws him softball questions and offers no opposing view point...the income earning leftist are beginning to see their pockets get picked by the very policies they support or supported. Folks, the looters want more of your money and they do not care what your political views are. The looters will pull us down to pull themselves up. The looter driving the old Ford who wants and therefore needs a new Mercedes believes we should pay for it, since we've been lucky and have more than enough...

Not a Biblical scholar, just a recovering sinner here...my guess is having paper money in the End of Days will give you a ample supply of toilet paper. It's advertising 101...use fear to sell your product or service...be it life insurance, lack of the newest coolest phone or your version of your religion.

Jesus didn't come to enforce the Old Testament. He taught the spirit of the Law of Moses; if you love the Lord with all your heart and mind you will want to resist breaking the law (sinning) and love you neighbors as yourself...treat others as you want to be treated. Haven't read the Koran, but I doubt such language exists for Muslims to change and come around.

How to survive a carjacking
A.J. Holst replied to The Legion's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Punch the gas pedal? The assailant won't expect it as most folks won't purposely enter a demolition derby, we are taught and trained not to collide with other vehicles. A little body damage to your vehicle and the car ahead or behind will be covered by auto insurance. Seems a much better deal than using your life insurance. -
Lawmaker Says Memphis In May Breaking The Law
A.J. Holst replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
"Harris says some cities are now trying to get around the law by saying their parks aren't parks" I have yet to hear a cognitive argument of why a legally armed citizen is a danger to the public safety. -

Sheriff's employees may have profited during ammo shortage
A.J. Holst replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Agreed, violating department policy is the least of their worries. Where's all the ammo, if you can't produce it, explain these unusual deposits in your account, where did that money come from, so it was from selling ammo...let's talk about tax stamps...by the way where are your dealer / business licenses issued by the appropriate state and federal agencies... -
Adult or juvenile snakes? Don't want you to get in trouble for posting "under 18" porn. Cool pic, thanks for posting!

Despite new law, guns still banned at Memphis in May
A.J. Holst replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Since they choose to erroneously interpret the law, simple erroneously interpret their interpretation and legally carry your firearm.. While it is my right to OC, I choose to stay under the radar and CC with cover garments and/or pockets... -
