The book is "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross. Part fiction and part history. Every gun owner should read it. 

edit:On second thought, I do believe Henry had a Lahti 20mm? 🙄 Maybe its time to reread that book? Nothing better to do these days anyway.

Henry has both.  But the Solothurn was the star of the show.  Rumors of a sequel have been around for many years.  If it's going to happen it better be soon.  John Ross is not particularly healthy.
