You are lucky to be alive. The rest of us have melted away.😁

I was mowing grass today, and when I got finished at this one house, I burned my hands on the trailer ramps. Never happened before.

Must not be hot anywhere but Macon County.🤔

Hot enough for ya?  How’s that?  😀

Well, I just saw satan packing to move back home and he was saying something about how ridiculous this heat is and how he’d never visit Tennessee again!
I guess it is kind of a dry heat where he’s from though.

It feels like we're either Arizona or Florida right now with the weather.  Neither is particularly appealing.  July and August are going to SUCK me thinks.

I opened the back door to let the dogs out and it felt like when you open the oven on Thanksgiving to take the turkey out and your glasses fog up, but w/out the good smell.

I don’t understand all the fuss.  It’s doing the same thing it does every year for the 5+ decades I’ve been around, except now the weather people stir up everybody talking about heat index instead of temperature.  As if things are different.

You're right, the weather is about the same, but I'm getting old and I feel it more.

Same here.  Not sure if it’s getting older or not working outside every day any more (or both), but it seems to take me longer to acclimate.  But I still remember summer 1980.

Wow, the summer of 1980 only seems a few years ago. Hard to believe how fast they sneak up on ya, huh?

I work inside too. It sure does make going outside more painful. But, I don't know which is worse the heat or these millions of little black and white mosquitoes we have in my neck of the woods.

No fuss. We know it’s more or less the same. Everybody just likes to joke about it. That said, I do hate the heat. Always have. I’m happiest in winter.

I agree. I just thought I’d share a joke about it.

I wasn’t saying ya’ll are fussing, just making a general comment about the yearly summertime drama the weather people and/or treehuggers stir up and the mentality of people nowadays:

Guys at work:  The high today is 106!!  Global warming!!

Me:  No, the high is 93.

Them:  But TV/news/social media said 106!

Me:  That’s the heat index, a made up number.  The temperature is the same as last year and the year before and the year before that.

Them:  But it’s 106!

I'm the same, I can work outside thirty five degrees in a t shirt and sometimes break a sweat. I do refrigeration work working in walking coolers, and freezers. I can  freeze out my help when they send me some.

In the winter time, you can put on enough clothes to stay warm, in the summertime, you could be naked in the pool and still be hot. And you know I ain't talking about the hot of a good looking woman.

This

In the cold, you can add layers but in the heat, you can lose only so many layers before you go to jail.

I’ve managed to avoid jail so far in life.  Hope it doesn’t get any hotter, though.
