An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen. The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, 'Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly.' The other man said, 'What is the name of the restaurant?' The first man thought and thought and finally said, 'What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know.... The one that's red and has thorns.' 'Do you mean a rose?' 'Yes, that's the one,' replied the man. He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, 'Hey Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?3 points

Of course there would still be plenty of crime. Unless they plan on making the dope free; the dopers will still need money. A pack of cigarettes is $5 and going up, all tax. Pot would cost more than it does now. And it still won’t be “legal†for those that have to work for a living. Companies aren’t going to change their drugs policies; test positive and you are out. Just another nail in the U.S. manufacturing coffin. Drugs are the reason people will break into your homes, and the reason you need to carry a gun.3 points

I think that within the next few years the BAC level will be dropped to .04 by most states. No one should drive when they are impaired. The problem is that most people have no idea what .08 BAC is other than a number. When you are impaired, you can’t make good decisions about whether or not you are impaired, and most have no idea what their BAC is; that’s why they blow. I drink, I sometimes get drunk. I never drive, not even with one beer.2 points

Really? You know that or you just believe it or want to believe it? If you know that then please feel free to share the data that shows that statement to be true. And...you know that or you just believe it or want to believe it? If you know that then please feel free to share the data that shows that statement to be true. If you can provide facts I'll be happy to look at them. In the meantime, where do you get the idea that we are talking about and only about marijuana??? The issue is de-criminalizing "drugs" and if the argument for de-criminalize marijuana is to take money out of the hands of "ganbangers" and take away the alleged motive for crime then you can't just stop at marijuana or the argument makes no sense and loses what little creditability it has. Strictly for myself, if alcohol was made an Illegal drug it wouldn't affect me much at all...I could easily give my two or three bottles of wine and the two or three mixed drinks I indulge in each year but at the same time, I see no reason to change the status-quot. I've seen what alcohol addiction does to individuals and families and I've seen what drug addiction (narcotics, opiates, etc) does to individuals and families; neither is good but if we are going to start ascribing levels of "bad" to each type of category then from my experience, drug addition would win every time as the worst.2 points

I take my son down to play on the "last train" occasionally. There are only two times I ever thought I might use my pistol. One of them was there. We were approached by druggies looking for a handout. My response was not diplomatic. The playground right there always has some homeless drunks hanging out with 40 oz malt liquor right in the open. The police garage is literally next door and this still goes on. Carry is still legal in that park, so that is the reason that I still go. My son loves that train. I'll be damned if some punks are going to keep him from seeing it. On another note, this, like all the other shootings this week, have only affected low life POS's. It won't be coming to my neighborhood any time soon. If it did the news stories would be quite different. The communities in Clarksville that live under the umbrella of dominance that gangs cast over them deserve exactly what they have. If people actually took responsibility for their own community and personal security the gang bangers would have no place to go. In short, eff 'em.2 points

I think that legalizing drugs would cause major "gang" problems. Look what happened when alcohol got taxed...mofia killings over who could sell the most "un-taxed" liquer. Al Capone maybe? We could legalize drugs, there would still be illegal drug sales by the gangs selling "untaxed" drugs. More pot would be grown, more meth manufactured and more and more illegal drugs sold even if LEGAL! WE DON'T NEED IT!! I had a friend rob a gas station with a .38 special snubnose that he took from his dad. Terry robbed the gas station and bought pot with the money. I have never had or heard of any of my friends robbing anyone to buy alcohol. Dave S1 point

Does anyone here think for a minute that if drugs were legalized they would be cheaper? What… you think the government is going to let you go down to Mexico and buy pot by the garbage bag full, or fly down to Columbia and pick up a few Kilos of coke for the family? Or maybe you think they will let you grow it in your yard? Of course not. There would be state and Federal licenses, inspectors, store requirements, distributor’s, special transportation fees, etc., etc., etc. That’s all before both the Feds and the State pile on their huge azz tax. Look what they are doing with cigarettes right now; taxes are going through the roof. Why? Because the biggest base of smokers are poor people; and they have no power to fight it. Rich people drink, so they kinda try to keep a lid on the liquor taxes; but they are still loaded with sin tax. This would be the biggest sin tax of all. It is not going to keep the drug users from burglarizing your house, holding up the local Stop and Rob, or sticking a gun in your face at the ATM. What it would do is bring in new recruits faster and easier. When they see Mommy and Daddy burning a bowl, snorting lines, or shooting up, and its legal; they are real easy pickins for the next generation of social misfits. I don’t want to deal with the added crime, let alone have my taxes go to deal with obvious fallout.1 point

My Wilson Combat Professional Bobtail (Commander size) is by far my favorite which is why I still have it. The one I sold that I wish I hadn't is my Kimber Warrior that I had Jeff Meister @ Hero Gear work over for me. MacGyver owns it now and if he's not careful I'll steal it away from him again some day. I'm thinking about building a new one off of a Springfield soon. Probably start with the Marine Corps Operator and go from there.1 point

Maybe I am wrong to assume most gang drug money comes from pot, if so I apologize. I will state as a fact that alcohol kills over 100.000 people in this country every year. Pot zero, I am at work and posting from my phone, but will post facts tonight if needed. Although it is really easy to find them yourself. As far as weed being illegal causing more or a burden I will post facts about that later also. Although it doesn't take rocket science to know that a drug that is not fatal (in any amount) would be less a burden on society than the killings that take place over the gang money Again I see your point about the other drugs and I may be wrong to assume that most gang drug money comes from pot. But no body can make a legitimate argument that alcohol should be legal and marijuanna not. It is impossible. Every negative thing that can be said about weed can be said several times over with alcohol. Alcohol kills 100,000 a year Pot zero Alcohol is fatal in large doses You cannot OD on pot Alcohol addiction is so severe it can be leathal to quit cold turkey Weed is not physically addictive Look it up if you can't wait till I post more tonight1 point

When I'm good and old, with the world tired of me and me tired of it. Preferably the day after my wife. I'd hate to leave her first and have her be all alone. I'm better at it than her. I've seen the way she reacts when her hamster dies. Can't imagine what that would be like if it was I that passed and couldn't be there to comfort her. It makes me a much more careful man than I used to be.1 point

It is a bigger burden on society now. The fact that pot is illegal and alcohol is legal is absurd. Legal alcohol is far worse a burden on society than legal weed could ever be. Weed is not physically addictive or fatal like alcohol. For the record I am not a fan of pot so much as I have seen the effects of alcohol on families. Legalizing it would take the money out of the hands of the gangbangers. The only reason violence associated with pot exist is because of the money associated with it. Would crime shift to another area, probably. Does that mean we should not do what is smart/right, absolutely not. anyone who is not in favor of legalizing pot then sure as heck needs to be for outlawing alcohol. If you are not then you really need to look further into your priorities and the actual facts1 point

They fit a need --- mostly that need would be an inexpensive defense weapon backed by an outstanding warranty & service. I personally have trouble trying to justify a weaker caliber gun in the current micro 9mm craze. The older 32s and 380s are not significantly smaller so I would just get a 9 to save on ammo price and get a little more power. But that is just my useless 2 cents, if you want a 32, get a 32. So, anyway, if you get one, read the kel tec owner's group page on how to DIY, several of their tips can make these guns reliable without paying to ship it back. This is simple stuff like polishing off any metal burrs inside the action, polish the feed ramp, and I have had to do similar things on much more expensive guns.1 point

Sounds like you are fine, if you want to CYA call up the game warden and explain the situation to him and get his approval, although you really don't need his approval to protect your livestock it might save you a lot of trouble down the road.1 point

I've got one that I'm quite pleased with. For $175 of the TGO classifieds I feel I got my money's worth. Mine eats Winchester white box 71 grains with no issues and they have a pretty flat nose. I still haven't gotten around to getting my permit so I only really carry at home but for that it's perfect. Stuff it in a pocket holster and Ive almost left with it on because I almost forget it's there. Once I get legal I will most likely get something a bit larger as a carry weapon but like BigK said I also wouldn't have dny second thoughts about carrying the P32 if I was only wearing shorts and a beater or something. I do think it's kind of funny that many diss the .32 yet I can't seem to find anyone manly enough to prove how wimpy a cartridge it is by subjecting themselves to just a puny little flesh wound. Same with the .22 and .25 fir that matter...1 point

Well Ah reckon everyone starts somewhere...and ignoring complaints, ignoring customers questions, emails, and phone calls, deleting negative/constructive feedback, having an all around fail on attention to detail, etc is a pretty good start. Again, if you feel the potential money that you save is worth the potential headache, then have at it. I would advise caution. And light weight barrels are fine.1 point

Leagalizing drugs is a mantra of many but as to evidence that it would actually reduce crime or have any positive results at all is dubious to non-existant. Crime and gangs existed before we had any drug laws in this country and crime and gangs would exist if all drug laws were suddenly eliminated...it might reduce crime or some types of crime some but most crime really flows out of a person's general depravity, lack of compassion and lack of moral fiber - those shortcomings don't get fixed just because somehing that was illegal is made legal.1 point

Doesn't matter. It is his insurance company that is making that decision for him. I am sure they wanted to allow reloads but unfortunately the insurance is the limiting factor, not the owner's decision. I am sure they did not want start out by limiting their customer base but it is what it is. I would rather have a nice, high tech range in my area that you can't shoot reloads in than to have no range at all. Also, they have been more than accomodating enough to us reloaders IMHO. These gentlemen have made a considerable investment of money, stress and time into starting this range. They are filling a gap and in this day and age of seeing ranges closing every single day it seems I am glad to see one opening for once. And even though I reload everything I shoot I would be glad to go there and buy factory ammo to support them in their endeavor. We, as gun owners (me included), like to complain a lot. Issues big and small we complain about often to no end. Sometimes it is warranted but in this case it is not. Think about this as well, they are supporting this site with their sponsorship. And without sponsors like Nashville Armory this site would likely not be what it is today. So before we go chastising a company, that supports us and the shootign sports, over something small we need to take a look at what they bring to the big picture. And what they bring is far outweighs the issue of being able to shoot reloads. Dolomite1 point
