So the internet has grown into a huge service that nearly everyone uses and relies upon through a free and open market (well even with pseudo monopolies) and now that it's a huge business with all the risk of development taken out the US federal government wants to come in and create an expansive "new" bureaucracy to take money they didn't create and control the evil corporations that brought us the service in the first place. What could go wrong? It concerns me that we can see clearly this happen over and over in the past and realize it's a business and market killer, and yet here we are again debating what's already been answered. Personally, I hate that the government is already involved in helping keep theses pseudo monopolies like Comcast in place. Less government interference would have opened the market up to even more bandwidth at lower prices long before now. I can't see any reason why more government solves anything.5 points

Why do we drive on "parkways" and park on "driveways"? Hmm big things to ponder. Could be we are all crazy to some degree? I hate to think the voices are just normal.2 points

I love my Dan Wesson Specialist in .45ACP but this 5-inch TRP Operator with the non-adjustable rear sight is probably the most practical 10mm 1911 that anyone has made since the Colt Delta Elite. It's got the right frills and plenty of business. I'd carry the hell out of it, especially in colder months when the extra oomph of the 10mm cartridge would come in handy for overcoming layers of heavy clothing if you had to add a few extra holes to a bad guy. Truthfully, since the Charlie Hedbo shootings in France where the goat-####ing scumbags rolled in wearing body armor, I have been giving the 10mm Glock 20 more room in my carry rotation. It's a bit of a pain to carry something that big, but I can give you a lot of things to think about no matter the body armor you're wearing and I tend to quickly work my way towards the head with my shots.2 points

I'm more of the mind that since the big providers like Comcast / Verizon / ATT / Charter all like this, it can't be good for me. - OS2 points

Good advise in lots of pursuits in life. I might look at that, but depends on price. For now not willing to put a ton into it until I see if I like it. I think those kits run about as much as I paid for the rifle.1 point

LOlL! Always the ray of sunshine! Just like any other business, if a provider isn't pleasing their customers, someone else will come in and do it. How long before people are protesting that internet access is a right and should be free?1 point

This will likely degrade or even kill streaming services like NetFlix over time. The ISP can charge them more, so they charge you more, until it's cheaper to just add a movie package from the ISP, and force original content into the regular established market. I'm pretty sure in ways I don't even grok yet, the biggest winners will be the fattest cats who need it the least, just like the new "tax reform" act. This isn't "free capitalism" in the way conservatives like to spout it, it's just another way of picking winners by further greasing those who already sit at the top. - OS1 point

Some of the people walking around could pass for aliens. Control for the most part is an illusion and the walls and fences are still fairly easy to get around. Surveillance is world wide and even though people get away to begin with it's not over.1 point

If Knight sells a conversion for 209 primers instead of those musket caps it would be money well spent. Also if you don't have a little tube of anti-seize already you need a little to put on the threads of the breech plug.1 point

Had a guy in yesterday with some flat Apex trigger in his? Man, it was unbelievable. About the best non 1911 trigger any of us ever felt. Don't know what the official designation for the trigger was.1 point

You have gazillions of folks that are happy to do low down things. Seems to be more of them these days, given the entitlement mentality that was so carefully nurtured by you-know-who. College, healthcare, and internet bandwidth is a right.1 point

When .gov gets involved in things it gets screwed up. Health care was not perfect but did have some competition and now look at it. Obama does not like America one bit, wants to kill capitalism every where. This net neutrality thing was a way to kill competition between providers and prices go up. I see prices going down in the next few months and years. Competition is a good thing.1 point

In the beginning, there was the Internet. Then, Obama and his geniuses decided to fix one more problem that didn't exist, and added lots of regulations that accomplished absolutely nothing. Kinda like everything else he touched.1 point

Which is why I will stick to my flip phone til they stop making them, and when it becomes untenable to not have a 'smart'phone, I will stick to the slower and least 'smart' ones. As to wholesale enslavement of the entire human species...It was tried in 1939 and 2016, and neither overbearing authoritarian would-be slavemaster succeeded in the long run.1 point

He mentioned nanotechnology which may be a way to get by the BBB but I still think we have other issues to focus our attention on. Like, is the .45 ACP really better than 9mm?1 point

I have not hunted Squirrels in probably 20+ years. I used to always have a couple dozen in the freezer but moved inside the city and can't hunt them and son lives to far away now for me to go and hunt his place for them. I do have a bunch of them all around my house and yard and it was kind of funny. When I first moved here almost 18 years ago I only had 1 very small gray squirrel that would come out in back yard out of fence row and lokk and dig trying to find food. Once day while at TSC I saw a squirrel feeder on sale so I bought it and some squirrel mix and put it up in back yard on a tree. It took the little squirrel to get on it and I watched him and I busted out laughing when I realized he was to small to open the lid and get a piece of food out of it. He was a determind but finally gave up. That night after sun went down I made a small platform and attached it to the tree and put some food on it. The next morning I was drinking coffee and here came the little squirrel up the tree and onto that platform. He ate about every thing on it. Evidently he told a friend cause next day I had two show up. 1 bigger one that could open the lid and the little one that ate on the platform. Those 2 was all I had that winter. The following Fall was a lot different. I think they must have called all their kin folks cause I could not keep the feeder and platform full as they would empty it in a day. I went back up to TSC and got 2 more feeders and another bag of food. That bag of food lasted about 10 days. I did some research and learned that squirrels were corn eaters also so I bought a 50 pound bag of whole kernel corn and came home and dumped it in a big plastic trash can I bought for the food. The little critters ate a hole in the can lid and we getting inside eating the corm. We to TSC and bought to metal trash cans. Filled one with squirrel food and 1 with bird seed and put up 5 hanging bird feeders and today I have a total of 8 bird feeders and 5 Squirrel feeders that I will begin putting food in come fall after I take the Hummingbird feeders down..............LOL I get a lot of enjoyment now just watching all the wild life I have here.1 point
