Has a removable plate for ez optic install, high sights for easy can add ons, comes w 2 24 and 1 17 round mag w case and flat blackstrap. Awesome awesome pistol. Only bad thing? It’s new so holsters are scarce. Finally went online for a cheapie, will order one at red hill today.Hate to say it but being a sig fan, this makes me an fn fan. Zero issues. Runs like a sewing machine, emptied the 17 round w junk 125 gr ball ammo, this just screamed! Enjoy!

  2. I come back to the why for the behavior. Replace a family unit with .gov Take away the need to provide food, clothing, and shelter. Expand benefits as new dependents are added. Single mother black families are reaching 70%, increasing from 30% in the 60s due to the war on poverty. Percentages are rapidly increasing in the White demographic as well as the Hispanic. Gangs create a family for cast off, fatherless kids of all races. Gangs provide employment and income opportunity Gangs and thug life are glamorized. Add Chicago's catch and release, ala no real consequences for actions, and you get the Purge every weekend.

  3. I dug out my old Second Chance brand vest that I bought in 1995 when I was a reserve deputy with the sheriffs office. We had to buy our own equipment so I kept it and today I dug it out. It was made in 1995 and most Kevlar is rated or warranty for 5 years. It is soft body armor Kevlar with no metal plates. Mine shows that it is a level IIA and is rated for 9mm 124gr FMJ and 357mag 158gr JSP directly and any angle. It's also rated for .44 mag at perpendicular angles . Today I took out my panels and shot it with 9mm 147 gr FMJ and 45ACP 230gr . I shot it at a distance of 10 feet. It stopped them both. I shot it with 2 rds of each caliber. Just thought I'd share this since it was kinda neat . 23 years and it still stops bullets. And remember that heat is supposed to degrade Kevlar : I kept this vest in the trunk of my patrol car at my present day job as a "worst case scenario tool" , kinda redneck but putting more on cant hurt. Anyways I'm sure it got really hot in there for several years and now after 23 years it still works. Pretty neat huh ?

  4. The real busy season I've noticed is tax season. Apparently some people need to create liquidity around early April.

  5. A lot of what I see on other "buy sell trade" pages are the same things being listed over and over, or ads posted by shops that you don't realize are shops until you contact them. This hasn't always been the case, mind you, but even TGO has seen a slow-down in private party sales over the past year. The "Trump Slump" didn't just affect retailers. It's affected the secondary market as well. Give it a bit and the pendulum will swing the other way. It always does.

  6. I can give an honest answer, but I fear I'll sink lower into the moderators' ire. What the hell. It needs to be said. As a culture, inner city blacks often breed like alley cats, resulting in a high percentage of children having no idea who their father is; let alone being able to learn from and being disciplined by them. Further, they are not taught a work ethic, and selling drugs paired with government assistance is an easy, labor free way to continue this lifestyle through the generations. That being said, this problem is NOT unique to black folks, but it looks to me like percentage wise, black people fall into this category more often than other races. Call me a racist or ban me from the forum, but please, show me the respect of disproving what i've said above first.

  7. If a camera isn't an option, think outside the box. Simple enough to see if it's a critter or a person, just take a bag of flour and dust the carport floor where stuff keeps moving. You'll either see animal prints, human, or a human trying to wipe away tracks. May even be able to follow them a bit with a black or uv light since it should glow a little. Or make an early warning "booby-trap" to warn you it's not just a random motion light trip.

  8. https://www.customdefensellc.com/gunsmithing.htm Ask Sam. He either does it, or more likely sends it somewhere to be done. My father was a tool and die maker before he retired. He'd just put gun parts in with whatever the shop was sending out to get black oxided. I'm not sure where they sent it. If you have a buddy who is a tool and die maker for a small shop, he might be able to do the same. All prep work should be done in advance, however, as they just put the finish on.

  9. There's a reason why so many gun owners have boxes of holsters: Choosing one is HIGHLY subjective. Do you want to carry inside the waistband or outside?

  10. You can get a decent trail cam for under $100 at Walmart, Academy, etc. They take good pics day or nite if it is equipped with infrared ( most are ). I have one ( Bushnell ), that I run 24/7 in the woods behind my house, picks up all kinds of critters, even 2 legged. Hate a thief, & love to catch one. Make sure wherever you set it up, it's not easily seen, or they'll steal it too. Had that to happen. Good luck, bud.

  11. I also have tried the rechargeable flashlight and batteries and never found one that was worth salt so I also just keep back up non rechargables for my flashlights so I can change on the fly.

  12. That's pretty cool. I've got some old body armor like that, not as old. Good to see it works.

  13. While I like the concept of rechargeable batteries, I prefer using disposable ones, for the mere simplicity of being able to change batteries on the fly and being able to afford to have a few on-hand. I've also not had good luck with rechargeable batteries, they don't hold a charge as long as my lithium 123 batteries and don't work as good either, so I stick with my multi surefire flashlights.

  14. No, not born in the ghetto, but also didn't grow up anywhere near middle class. I joined the Army at 18, knowing dang well my only other options were prison or death, yea a rough neighborhood. The big difference is that my mom tried to teach me right from wrong, and my friends mother pushed me in the right direction as well. Many of my friends had parents that, well, were as bad as their kids and looking back, am glad I left as I only know of one friend that made it out, yea, the one with the mother that helped me too. The stats support what I always say, you put enough people of one race into a group and they will kill each other. Not many whites mix with blacks in the ghetto, those that do must be as bad or worse to survive or become one of the outliers in those crime stats. The only fix I can see working is from the inside, parents need to control their kids, however they need to, and break away from the something for nothing mentality and show their kids that working for what they get is a much better solution than dealing drugs, robbing and stealing.

  16. The mark 5 {jungle} carbine was designed with "lightning" cuts on the receiver & bolt & through out , resulting in a guns that looked great especially with the conical flash-hiding device. It's recoil persuaded no nation to choose it. India rejected it in 50's I'm told. My #4 Mk2 wears a"nancy pad" on visits to the Range..

  18. Just look at today's entertainment offerings if you have any doubts about gregintenn or Gotthegoods posts. A very high percentage of African-American oriented tv and movies are all about the thug life, street hustle, and saying that anything goes in the pursuit of the almighty dollar. According to this entertainment media...guns, drugs, and money rule all life. And to "get your due" is the only way to live. By any means. Lawyers, Guns and Money...Warren Zevon had it right!

  19. I guess the uncomfortable question is why are gangs so successful in recruiting young black men?

  20. We can’t have honest open discussions about race. If you start quoting facts you are just labeled a racist and the conversation is over. I was a Police Officer in Illinois (not Chicago) in the 70’s/80’s. Our Chief made the statement publically that 30% on the population was responsible for 70% of the crime. They tried to crucify him for that statement, but it didn’t work. I believe that money can fix most things, and that most people would rather have jobs than be criminals. Income and jobs has more to do with crime than race. My most violent encounters and response to the most violent crimes was drunk white men. We (the Police) weren’t shooting and killing blacks; they were doing that to each other. It does not appear to me that has changed.

  22. I'm a basic member. I may misunderstand the Life memberships, though. I thought once you paid the fee, either all at once or by installments, to be a Life Member, you didn't pay anymore. I don't like that idea. If I support an organization, I want to be actively supporting them. I don't think the NRA gains much by having my name on a list as it does having my money every two years. Then again, what if I decide to stop supporting the organization for any reason? I'm still on the roster as a life member, even if I'd stopped any extra contributions. I prefer to support the NRA, and a few other groups, on a shorter basis. They wind up with more of my money, and when it's something I support I think that's a good thing.
