  1. These are the kinds of conversations you probably shouldn’t have in someone’s thread. Do your own research or post about it in the appropriate section.

  2. Colt Defender for sale, great little gun. Four mags and holster, box and all that comes with it. Currently has the Kimber recoil assembly installed (easier disassembly). Bought this new a couple of years ago, carried it some but moving on. Price drop $800

  3. A tree fell on my house, and while this Sig P322 would allow me to dispatch up to 20 squirrels abandoning ship as it fell, like cowards, it won’t fix my roof. As such, the safe is being lightened. $300, cash only, no trades. (also have a P365 X-Macro in a separate post, would do both for a discount) Included: - Sig P322 w/threaded barrel - 3 factory mags - Sig Holster w/OWB and IWB belt loops - All items included in original manufacturer box (curved trigger *flat currently installed*, mag loader, dry fire tab, box, thread cap, etc.) Condition: Like New - two range trips and a lot of gleeful giggles. 4. Make sure you pull the bore snake wet. If it’s difficult to pull, stand on the end of the snake and pull the rifle up off it with both hands. You’ll also want an AR chamber brush because a bore snake won’t do much to scrub the chamber clean, and you need the chamber clean for it to run well. Get a rod that won’t swivel so you can scrub the chamber with it.

  5. Find the highest NRR rated foam plugs and electronic muffs you can. I double up at all times. The db reduction isn’t directly additive, the muffs add maybe 5 additional db of reduction on top of the plugs, supposedly. Electronic muffs are the only way you’re going to hear range commands or conversation, but if you’re alone they aren’t necessary.

  7. It's a 151 serial prefix. Maybe a late 70s to early 80s production. (Please correct me of I'm wrong) Pretty sweet trigger comparted to my S&W but its size is not my cup of tea. Wood grips are 'Origional Mustang' brand. Says so on the back side of em. My hands are smallerish and the grip feels good even though they are on the large size of the spectrum. More pics below.... Trade: 9mm 1911/2011 [cash could be added if needed] Sale $600

  8. ACLDN has been sold to CCW Safe Insurance Plan. As of July 9 CCW took over the plan for self-defense coverage should one be forced into a self-defense situation and need legal help. l was a member of ACLDN and have been for several years. The owners of the network want to retire and sold the network to CCW Safe. Everything remains the same until time to renew your membership. Haven't received any new info on the transition but the CCW says they will be in contact to all ACLDN members in the near future. The new conversion will be done soon in the future.

  9. I have a decent little revolver for sale. I bought it to carry in the pocket but it ended up being too heavy and clunky for a pocket gun. Buyer must be willing to fill out a bill of sale and include DL# and signature. If I get the idea that you may be up to no good, we won’t be making a deal. Thanks in advance. $195 is beyond a fair deal so no negotiation.

  19. My Gen 5 Mdl 19 has a much better grip than the others. I don't need any change of the grip. Even like the stippling of the grip. Edited to add; Still think the Mdl 23 40 Cal is a much better OWB carry. Very effective caliber.

  21. Don’t worry about holding anybody back. Be safe and accurate and the rest will come. The tactical-bro types will tell you competitive shooting will teach you bad tactics and will just get you killed. Ignore them - half those guys went to a match to teach everybody how it’s done and got their asses handed to them, primarily because they’re just not nearly as good as they thought. USPSA, IDPA, etc are not defensive training, but they will quickly make you immensely more competent with a gun. I think Massad Ayoob said shooting matches are not gunfights, but gunfights are shooting matches.

  22. Those Otis cleaning kits are a racket. Like when you see all the crazy 16-piece knife sets when just a few key ones are all you need. Just buy things you'll use to clean, and find something to put them in. I still have an old ammo can for mine. Oil, (I use Break Free and Rem Oil) Q-tips Pipe cleaners Old dental tools Boresnake Toothbrush Shop towels I can't remember when I've used anything else. It's not complicated. Just get as much of the carbon off as you can with the oil and tools, it doesn't have to be pristine, look for any rusting, and a good coat of oil wherever metal touches metal. For the AR, I had an old Sergeant tell me, "pretend the bolt carrier is your dick, the rest is wherever you're putting it, and lube both up".

  23. Yes. This article is spot-on. It kind of sucks that it's from Silencer Central since they are currently getting evicerated by the 2A community over their stance on the Hearing Protection Act, but it's still good info. https://www.silencercentral.com/blog/every-nfa-engraving-requirement-you-need-to-know-about/

  24. I’m in the same boat as far as deciding to comp carry or not. Seems to be what’s popular in the industry right now. I recently purchased a handgun with a comp from the factory after watching all the guntubers praise it for the comp, I’d give it a try. So I Took it to the range to zero my red dot optic and run more rounds down range with my EDC and can honestly say I couldn’t tell the difference with reduction to recoil or muzzle rise VS. My non comp’ed G43X edc. After reading all the comments on this thread I’m leaning more towards not comp’ing my EDC tho I love the aesthetics of comp’ed guns I think the extra money for a comp is better spent with more range time and training.
