  1. Could you imagine what it would be like if Hillary was appointing her second SC Justice? Scary stuff.

  3. I bought a Jericho 941 Kit back in the '90s. It had both the 9mm and 41AE barrels and mags. I still have it. Haven't shot it in years, and probably should try to sell it. I actually very likely won't. It's a fairly heavy pistol, especially by todays standards, but it is easy to shoot, and in 9 is very pleasant. Changing to the 41, it becomes a bit harder shooting. Not terrible, but noticably different from the 9. When I purchased this pistol, iirc, the 41AE ammo was around 16/18 per 50 rounds. Then 60%+ higher than traditional 9mm. I bought several boxes at a time, until I had around 1500 rounds put away. I probably have 1000 left. Only a few of the Samson and IWI boxes remain intact. Most of it is in ammo cans. Last year, I purchased a Jericho 45 in the "compact" frame. I like it. Not my favorite non-1911 45, but it's still with me. Guess what I'm saying is that the Jericho line, while being built like tanks, are quite good; and have a certain beauty all their own. I don't think it would be my choice for a first time buyer. Unless you got a great price, or it just reached out and grabbed you and wouldn't let you put it down. That's happened to me...many times. lol And welcome to TGO, Ratchetyclank.

  4. I got my bulbs in yesterday. I converted the fixture just like in the picture @mike_f provided. I looked for a wiring diagram in my box, but did not find one. Regardless, there was a similar picture in the Amazon description, so I used that. It was very simple to re-wire the fixture. Did have to provide my own wire nuts, but I had plenty of those laying around. Once wired up, and rehung, the lights work wonderfully. I only put one bulb in each fixture, where there used to be two bulbs, and I think the light output is brighter than before. I only did the two fixtures in the garage, but the garage is very well lit now. The one thing I don't care for with these strip LED type lights, is they play tricks on my eyes. When I look up, or side to side, and my vision catches the light, I perceive the lights to jump around. I don't know if that makes sense, or if it happens to anyone else, but it is distracting. It does it to me on the under cabinet LED lighting I installed a few months ago too. Anyway, thanks to everyone here who offered advice and tips. I admit, I didn't even know these things existed till this thread. Just one more way TGO has made my life better. Thanks

  5. Oh, I dunno. The GOP is pretty much equally hypocritical. Under Trump, it has achieved the pinnacle of that by abandoning many long standing tenets of its platform altogether. - OS

  6. Lee thinking to himself...."Hmm I might now be reconsidering volunteering for this....." As Mike Swisher thinks.... "Finally...at least it's not me this time that he's "demonstrating" on ".....

  7. Well with a name like Cruel what did you expect? Okay now in all seriousness....Just a quick reminder for those who didn't go back and read the earlier posts in the thread and have no clue for the context... this was NOT in anyway unsafe. It is NOT a live gun . I repeat it was NOT a live gun. It is a Glock 17R (https://us.glock.com/products/model/g17r) which is Glock's non firing trigger resetting training pistol that allows you to cycle dummy rounds through the action, insert and eject magazines, and get multi round dry fire without having to cycle the action each time. But it CAN NOT fire live rounds. And this was a controlled environment with several extremely well trained and accomplished instructors monitoring the environment for safety. This was at the Rangemaster Tactical Conference in a class I was teaching called Point Blank Pistol Skills. Lee was assisting along with Mike Swisher and Adam Gochenour (also in the video) and Scott Stewart who is not visible in the video. The point of that particular exhibition was that pushing an auto pistol into your opponent in a clinch can cause the gun to be knocked out of battery and then not be able to fire. Not a good thing when fighting for your life. You can also end up hitting them hard enough to induce a malfunction. Also not good when fighting for your life. IIRC we also did a demo of me pushing it into him and the trigger not "clicking" because the slide was pushed out of battery. While this looks dangerous it is ALL safe because it is a training pistol that by design can not fire live ammo because there is no hole in the breech face for the firing pin to hit a primer. It is essentially a "blue gun" with moving parts. So don't read anything more into the video than what it is ...It is one experienced professional instructor with a NON FIRING TRAINING PISTOL demonstrating with another experienced professional instructor why in a fight for your life at touching distance you don't want to shove the gun into your opponent....while yet another experienced professional instructor watches for potential safety issues...while yet 2 more instructors also monitor the environment for safety. Just wanted to clear that up for those who have only been exposed to basic NRA safety protocols and might jump to conclusions that are not valid conclusions to jump to after seeing a 3 second "snapshot in time " of a longer demonstration and lecture. No instructors, students, or animals were harmed in the delivery of the lecture or in the taking of the pics that led to the making of the video. Some people may have gotten their feelings hurt...but there were no physical injuries.

  8. Good to know. It's insane how long Form 4's for trusts are taking.

  9. You can send a firearm to an out-of-state gunsmith for repair and they can send it directly back to you. https://www.atf.gov/qa-category/gunsmiths

  10. Ronald is correct. Usually the receiving Ffl ask you to put a copy of your DL in with the shipment for your records. Since it is not a pistol, you can ship USPS.

  11. If the FL FFL will accept a shipment from a Non-FFL, then shipping direct is ok as far as I know.

  13. Nothing made of plastic is a real gun. We all know that! That silicone o-ring puts pressure against the thread protector and keeps it from spinning off with firing. Thanks.
