  1. The comments section hurt my head.  I'm really offended that all these people don't like guns.  It hurts my feelings and makes me want to cry.  Why can't I just have my way?  Can everybody just like guns so that I don't have to go hide in my closet and cry anymore?
  2.     In my experience, this is not the norm in the industry.  Most manufacturers will warranty their guns against defects in materials and workmanship.  Anyone else have this issue with Walther?  Makes me want to blacklist them.
  3. Talking about bicycles and I'll agree with you, if were talking motorcycles I disagree because the motorcycle is unlikely to be in the cars way again.  I've ridden motorcycles in California and experienced lane splitting first hand.  I really liked the idea of it, especially moving around in urban areas because you can make it from A to B much more quickly.  If done properly there is no downside to lane splitting.  I do like that we can run red lights after stopping here in Tennessee but it sure would be nice to be able to lane split as well.
  4. Yeah I figured that was a bad idea.
  5. Mm 268 east bound yesterday, they are quickly working their way eastward.
  6. It will be your new favorite store Peejman. I went by the Maryville store yesterday and picked up a nice case for my AR, they had a good variety of cases in stock.
  7. Anyone try to harvest lead from old batteries? My gut tells me that it's a bad idea for several reasons but there would be a good amount of lead there for cheap.
  8. Two things... 1) figure out how much space you need and double it. 2) I'll second Peej on the sky lights, Windows allow crooks to see what you have and provide a point of entry. I knew a guy whose shed was robbed by the thief coming in through the window and kicking out the door from the inside.
  9. But If I use my turn signal I can't type out that text message while I'm turning.
  10. Gotta run to Maryville tomorrow I'm going to see if I can snag one out there, thanks for the heads up.
  11. Reminds me of a line I've used a couple of times when someone wanted to make comments while I was riding "You don't know me and I'm wearing a helmet, you want to think about that?"    BTW:  If you are going to talk trash while wearing a motorcycle helmet keep the visor down and your chin tucked so that your chin bar doesn't become a hand hold for your adversary.
  12. On a pretty much related topic what are the pros and cons for different barrel lengths if you are going for a 9mm AR pistol?
  13. I've had no problems feeding mine steel cased ammo.  I happened to have a fair quantity lying around and it's eaten 100% of what I've fed it without a hiccup.
  14. I wish hippies would stop driving Subarus, they are fine automobiles.
  15. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/15199/   Hard to beat this price.  Add a stripped lower and you are ready to rock and roll!  I recently bought a similar rifle kit from PSA and was very pleased.
  16. Sure it CAN be done but 9 out of 10 of the fools that hang a target on the 200 yard line at Stones River can't put a hole on the paper using a quality rifle and scope.  I think the OPs money is safe.  Would like to hear the results/excuses when this takes place though.
  17. Try tire shops, I used to work at one before I had any interest in reloading. We had buckets of used wheel weights sitting around, we would eventually scrap them but I'm sure that we would have sold them to anyone who asked for scrap value or less.
  18. I've been trying to get a good hummingbird pic for the past couple of weeks.  Problem is I just haven't had the time.
  19. Saw one at mile marker 259 on 40 going West bound today, belly up.  That's the forth I've seen recently within a 10 mile stretch, looks like there are a bunch of them over there around the Carthage area.  I know there have been some spottings in Wilson county as well but doesn't seem like as many.
  20. This has become the norm unfortunately. Personally I don't think it's appropriate when in a group of people to mess with your phone outside of a pressing but brief text or call, anything more than that you need to excuse yourself. Too many times I've been somewhere and seen ten people sitting around a table all on their phones, who are they talking to? BTW I find it extremely rude for two people in a group to send texts to each other because obviously they are talking about someone else in the group.
  21. Thanks for this post too many think it's about beer and barbecue.
  22. I'd trust them but I wouldn't run handloads for self defense. It's asinine but if you were to ever have to stand trial for using them it's just one more thing the prosecution could use against you.
  23. Retired...
  24. What these people fail to realize is that mail orders provide a paper trail whenever someone buys ammo in that they are handing over banking info and giving an address. Yet these people don't seem to care that we can walk into a store, buy as much ammo as we want, pay cash, and sans being recorded on store cctv remain anonymous. I really think they are looking for a solution for a problem that doesn't exist.
  25. OS is right, AGAIN!  My 86 year old grandmother, who lives alone, secluded, at the end of a road, had that old school thing stuck in her head that I've heard old folks say before, "you can't shoot them till they're inside so if you shoot them outside you need to drag them inside."  I told her "You are 80 something years old living alone out here, once they try to gain entry start shooting and don't stop until you are out of bullets.  If you kill them all there isn't a jury in the world that is going to make you do time over it."  The wording of the law really does leave this one up to be decided on a case by case basis.  Although I think that grandma would be fine to go ahead and shoot in that scenario, someone like myself may not stand as good of a chance of getting away with it.
