I think a bigger problem that we have in America than the number of Muslims among us is people that want to infringe on the rights of others because they don't agree with something. Replace the word "Muslim" in this thread with "gun owner" and everyone here would be outraged. Making an attempt to ban an entire religion, which I assume is the premise of this thread, because of the acts of a few is no different than attempting to ban the private ownership of firearms because of the acts of a few. This is simple hypocrisy, you can't infringe the rights of others and not expect your own to be infringed as well.

I can't seem to find my tin foil hat this morning but I've had a suspicion that NASCAR is about as scripted as wrestling for some time now.

All of the sudden I feel a need to own a butchered up M1 carbine if I could find one in the $300-400 range.

Discussion Of Possible Gun Legislation, Parks Again
10-Ring replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Part of the reason that I'm not interested on open carrying in public is that I won't have to spend massive amounts of money to prove my innocence when one of those authorities that wants to resist the state law decides to make an example out of me. I hope this does happen and I hope that the open carrier wins his case and then sues the pants out of everything he can afterwards but it won't be me. -
This will likely be of little help but here goes. I'm not familiar with Boone lake but Center Hill has little privately owned property surrounding it. The Corps of Engineers does not issue dock permits and does not allow the old permits to be transferred when the property is sold if I understand correctly. I believe that there are now less than a dozen private docks remaining on Center Hill. Therefore, it will likely be difficult to get accurate information that is relative to your situation. I do know that Wolf Creek Dam in Kentucky has had issues for years and if it gives it will wipe out tons of houses along Old Hickory Lake. I don't think that property values around Old Hickory have suffered a bit, if anything they have gone through the rood in the past 10 years.

They do in fact rent out an entire section of the range, in fact that is the sole purpose of that section of the range. My contact was not sure about rates or availability, he said a call down to the range could get all of those questions answered. I would volunteer but I just have too much going on right now. And fyi, I do believe that is the opening day of archery season though I'm not sure how many folks would have a conflict with that.

Regal movie theaters begin searching bags

This nothing to do with safety and everything to do with preventing people from sneaking in snacks. It's all about the money. -
Sure it has poor bullet performance at that velocity, but should be negated thee inevitable burning and deafening of anyone being shot by it.

I'd like to make it but I can't make any promises. I do have a contact at Stones River and I'll check about renting the range although I highly doubt that we will be able to rent out a public range on one of the three days of thew week that they feel are open seeing as none of us are politicians.

I wish more people had this attitude than the"concealed means concealed" crowd. I too refuse to patronize a posted business.

I disagree, I think Ferguson needs a lot more gasoline and a match.

Check this article out. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/aug/11/oath-keepers-ferguson-automatic-rifles Evidently the oath keepers were sporting "M-15 rifles with several magazine cartridges strapped across their buddy armour." I'm not up to speed on this M-15 platform but I think I need one. Seriously though how do"journalists" expect anyone who knows anything to take then seriously when they are either 1) making stuff up our 2) taking someone else's word on the facts?

Public Service Annoucement - Check Your Cell Numbers BEFORE Texting
10-Ring replied to CommsNBombs's topic in General Chat
I think an apology for getting the wrong number was all that was in order. I would feel no need to make an explanation to someone that got that butt hurt over a PICTURE of a gun. -
That's a peeve of mine as well, gotta look Syu the good side though, it's like the guys that talk about their "clips" you know they don't know what that are talking about as soon as their mouths open.

I saw a set of triplets yesterday, unfortunately I didn't take a picture.

At one point Facebook kept recommending that I be friends with a certain person because we had 108 friends in common. Don't you think that if we have 108 friends in common and we aren't already friends then there is a good reason for that? It was my wretched ex by the way.

My daughter had cataracts removed from both of get eyes last year and it went very well for her, even being 4 years old at the time. Loden did my LASIK back in 2005 and did a great job. Dr. Morrison at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute did my daughter's and we were very happy with him. Morrison may only do pediatrics, I'm not sure but if I were told that I needed cataract surgery he would be the first call that I made.

I have nothing against it, I just wasted too much time on it, I first got Facebook in 2005 and disconnected my account earlier this year. There are things I miss about it and there are friends that I don't get to see often that Facebook kept me in contact with and I miss that. TGO is the closest I come to social media anymore and it's really too much on some days.

And the Facebook haters will start their "I don't do Facebook" ramblings in about two minutes.

I'm not a big Taurus guy but I love my TCP, IMO the trigger makes that gun. I've spent some time with the LCP as well and I prefer the TCP, although my TCP needed a little bit of tweaking to run right. I've spent some time with the Bersa thunder .380 and the CC, and there is no way I would put either in the same class as the LCP or TCP, IMO the Bersa is heavy for its size, I nearly never carry mine because I have other options that are smaller, lighter, have a higher capacity and are a larger caliber.
