  1. As my two sons were growing up they were never allowed to have BB guns or pellet guns. Those things fit in a category somewhere in between a toy and a real gun. So they never get the respect they should.
  2. I WAS WRONG In my earlier statement I said I didn't believe that there was anything we could do to change what the government did. Without saying a word you 'all have proven me wrong. You have proven that we still have a say in what happens in government. Thank you Ray
  3. I believe that whatever you carry, you need to practice with. Putting rounds down range in the plinking range is one thing. But I really think if you are serious about protecting yourself and/or your people, you need to get involved in IDPA and or practical pistol shooting. Both use scenarios that are closed to real life.
  4. When I took my HCP course, my instructor told us, " If you have to be in a fight for your life, continue to fire until the danger is no longer a threat." His view on caliber was "Whatever you are comfortable with." I consider him a very intelligent man and, as a police officer, has protected out community for over 20 years.
  5. Before I went off the deep end and got my 650 I always used cartridge trays. When it came to charging the cases, after doing the whole tray I could see if there was one that was overly full very easily.
  6. Check with harbor freight's site. They have two vibrating tumblers. The small one is about $60 and the big one is around $150. They advertise the big one as being waterproof. When my Dillon dies that's where I'm going.
  7. Anybody got an idea how bad we're going to get beat up for parking in the lots around the show?
  8. Welcome from another useless nut.
  9. Anything else would be a federal crime. Then, guess what, you won't be allowed to own a gun.   Somebody help me out here. What subcommittee was it that it was proven that people lying through their teeth. Or was it more than one?
  10. Give it up guys. The ATF is the puppet of the government. They do what they're told. If you recall the Clinton years, ATF did what they were told. We have a new world order that Uncle Sam is shoving down our throats, and we can't do a thing about it. The UN has disarmed the rest of the civilians of the rest of the world, and we're next. Little by little we'll be throwing rocks like the rest of the civilians of the rest of the world. How do I know this? It's second and third hand information. But I believe it. Will we ever have first hand information about this? I doubt it. You have the right to keep and bare arms. That doesn't mean you can have ammunition. That doesn't mean you can afford to buy that arm or ammo. Not only do you pay state tax on guns and all other firearm related items, but you an excise tax to the state, ATF, and the state department. Is that tax regulated? Not that I know of. So today you .10 to the state, X% to ATF, and X% to the state department. What will it be tomorrow? Fewer people are able to buy a gun today and $ 8 box of ammo is now $15-$20. Are these price hikes just inflation? When was the last time you got to buy some of that great pull down powder for reloading? Who made up the rule that those that bought surplus couldn't use the ammo for it's intended purpose of break it down for components? I, personally, miss that $ 6/# powder that I had so much fun shooting. What?? the terrorists make bombs out of the stuff. I'm not a terrorist. How come I've got to pay the bill?  Or those surplus bullets that did so well plinking with. "SSDD" I don't know about you but I really miss those $65  AK's and SKS rifles. I remember walking out of the gun show with one or the other that were in unfired condition and a $99 case of ammo and headed for the rifle range. The empty cases were 6" deep in front of the firing line, and a lot of guys got to go home with a grin on their faces. Guys that today can't afford that same rifle. Who decided that we couldn't import a certain rifle unless it had X% of the parts that were American made? ATF, or was it the UN? OK, I got a lot off my chest. I did this before but erased it. My paranoia got the best of me. Am I really paranoid? Yep! But I take this little pill every morning and the list of those that are out to get me gets smaller and smaller. The other week was an exceptional one. I became monanoid. There was only one person that was out to get me. But everyone else knew who it was and nobody would tell me who it was.   Keeping that in mind, which of you are just jumping to discredit me? Or the statements that I just made, and why?
  11. Although I don't stop in the middle of loading a caliber and start another, here's what I put on the boxes before I put them away.   9mm Luger 124gr RGR rn plated 3.8gr solo 1000 2/15
  12. My son lives halfway between Sweetwater and Madisonville. He's been out of power  most of the week. Monroe county has done a great job with the main streets.
  13. You have the right to bare arms. The Dems are just going to see to it that you don't have anything to use in it. Metal piercing today, FMJ's tomorrow, and who knows what else in the future.
  14. Nobody has said a thing about the M&P Pro. I love mine. 9mm shoots like 22"s, Good balance, nice price. It ain't broke, I'm not going to fix it. It's my go to for production division.
  15. Hold on there Bobba Louie! This is Tennessee, When was the last time you were sitting in a restaurant and the person in the next booth started up a conversation. Or you were walking down the isle in Wally world and somebody coming from the other way pointed to your t shirt and said "I like it", or your neighbor just stopped by to say "Hey". We call this the volunteer state, but it's also the friendly state. Paranoia is 6 guys pointing shotguns at you. Not one guy giving you a hug. That is unless he doesn't use deodorant.
  16. Got the Bushmaster lower for fifty bucks and DPMS insides for the same money. Can't find a descent top end for cheap though. I like the dissipater configuration that Model 1 sales has but they want $440 and no bolt or carrier.
  17. On a personal level I'm all for it,,,,,,, here it comes,,,,,,,,,,,,, BUT if we have a tax free weekend for guns and ammo sales the golf guys would want a weekend. The softball guys would want a weekend, etc.. etc.. How about doing everybody a favor and stop sales tax on food? It costs too much to put food on the table now.
  18. Never found the need to crimp my 38 sp. Almost no recoil and the small charges of fast burning powder don't need crimping. All that crimp is doing is taking life out of your cases.

    Good Ol Jane!

How many lives did she take without pulling a trigger? I figure that stunt cost here a long and profitable future in the entertainment business.  I for one won't loose any sleep over that. The only movie that I remember that she made she had to take her cloths off and that was a poor production.  It was treason pure and simple. Her dad was Navy all the way and received the bronze star and presidential citations for his performance in WW2. I never heard what he had to say about that picture of his daughter.
  20. Let's give him a hand guys, and nominate him for the Darwin award of the year.
