It might, I don't know but if I went that route I would not have a reason to go fishing as often and it would just run my water bill up when the lake is 1 mile away and the water is free!!!

My only issues back when I was growing big gardens was weather. I could never ge enough rain and would end up watering about every 3 days with hose and sprinklers and city water is just not that good for gardens. I have drums at the down spouts of about 5 different locations on my out buildings but with no rain that was useless. It would rain in Portland 10 miles north or Lagardo 10 miles south of me but not rain on my garden. It was like I was in an armpit and rain just wouldn't fall here. I can make a trip to the lake now and pump enough lake water into drums on a buddys trailer I borrow to keep the patio plants watered. Can even do a little fishing while I am filing the barrels..........

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Weather people are calling for single digit lows with wind chills below zero at least through next Thursday night. I'm gonna make a store run for a couple things and then park the Jeep and camp out in the house for a while. Happy New Year Ya'll

Have not had a garden in about 7 years now. Use to grow one every year and always seem to do well with it. Then I got Old!!! and Lazy!!! I also realized I always ended up giving away 85% of what I grew went to friends and neighbors because there was no way I could eat what gardens produced every year. Now it's a few Patio pots with Tomato Plants and a few with Cucumber vines that grow up on a big wall of lattus I built on the far end of the patio. and I put fences around the tomatoe plants for them to vine on and I end up giving more than 1/2 of them away so they don't go to waste.

I have not purchased a new gun in sometime but same can be said about the guns you have been packing for sometime also. I realized just reading this post that it has been a little longer than normal that I have been to the range to put some rounds down range with both of my carry guns. I have been rotating between the 2 but have not been burning power in either. I need to look into going to the range soon after 1st of the year and run some rounds through both of them and then come home and clean them.

Well, it was not my idea to go to Dollywood but my wife wanted to go and I had a surprise planned for her and I was kind of making it her weekend to pick the places we went and I just agreed so we went. The plan I had was a dream come true for her and after doing Dollywood on Friday we just walked through Gatlinburg looking at the stores and shops. A buddy of mine that owned Charlet in Gatlinburg had given me the keys to it for the entire weekend. On Satuday morning she woke up to breakfast in bed and under her napkin was two tickets to the opening game of Tennessee season that year. I was standing just out side the bedroom door when she found them and I would guess about everyone on that mountain top heard her screams when she found the tickets. She was a rabid Tennesse fan and our house looked like a concession stand at a Tennessee game. At Dollywood she was decked out in orange and white tennessee clothes. The guy that owned the Charlet had season tickets every year in box seating as he is an alumni of Tennessee University and he let me use his tickets. I'm sure glad I took her cause it was probably the best thing I could have done to fill her dreams cause I lost her in October 97.

I am betting that the guy that approved that advertisement is no longer with the company........

I have a feeling she knows about more and just waiting for a time she really wants something and then will show you the list of what you have and then you will have little choice but to let her have what she wants. I do know now why when you bought B.T's long guns you had them shipped to your work................ROFLMAO -
I hope once broke in it shoots as cool as it looks. It is not something I would own cause my grandfather told me one thing that stayed with me all my life. Back when I was a teenager and I wanted some chrome wheels for my 55 Chevy and I told him I might buy some and he said "son, chrome don't get ya home"! Never did put them chrome wheels on the double nickel and she ran just fine without them..............

Well I guess maybe he needs to put his pot pipe down now cause it appears he has killed off enough brain cells to do the trick with any common sense he once may have had!!!.......JMHO

I hope they get their act together rather than go Bellie-Up. I would hate to see a company with such a great history just wither on the vine like old grapes. If I would have been working for them and they made me a good enough offer I would not be living in NY but living where ever the company put a plant as long as it was south of the Ohio River...........JMHO!!! Like someone else mentioned, They should have left NY long before they did!!!

What did y'all get for Christmas thread :0)
bersaguy replied to Someotherguy's topic in General Chat
Well, I was not expecting anything and ended up getting a Salt and Pepper shaker set and new coffee cup. Daughter was at Bass Pro Shop and saw them and got them for me. Nw I have a bigger morning coffee cup which is bigger than the old one which means less trips to the pot each day!!!! -
That I am not sure about. You would have to ask the warden about that.

Yea, they have camping areas

I have heard of Coyotes taking small house dogs from peoples back yards in town around Nashville. If one tries to get my dog Darby It is going to be 1 time I will be shooting a fire arm inside the city here. I won't tolerate a Coyote trying to hurt or kill my dog.
-
I see you live in Bellevue and have a lot of Rabbits whee you live.. I also have a bunch where I live also which is in town were Coyotes don't live. I actually feed them in winter here in my yards. I buy Rabbit pellets at Co-op and put them around my out buildings during the day and they come out at night and feed on them. I live in town and it's against the law to fire a gun here. I have had friends tell me to get a Pellet gun and pop them but I don't see much sport in that and I don't need food. If I needed food I would have plenty of it around my house. I have Squirrels that come to five feeders, I have doves that come and feed on food I put on the ground for them and I have rabbits that live in a fence row in back of my house and also under my out buildings. I use to enjoy rabbit hunting more to hear the beagles run than the actual shooting the rabbits.

Die Hard seem to be the most popular so far..............

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All...........

You were luckier than I have been. At least they caught the punks that stole your guns. mine have been gone since 1986 and not one gun or person has shown up or been arrested. I lost a lot of guns when they took them but the only one I would care about getting back is my dead sons Winchester Pump shotgun. Not because it is a great gun but because it was my oldest sons 1st gun I bought him for Christmas in 1984.

No, it's a small community that lays at to southern side of the Cheatham WMA. You will probably have to ask for directions from the locals down there at one of the country stores. You can probably ask the local game warden that lives on the reserve and he can tell you were they are.
-
In a small community called Cotton Town that borders the WMA.
-
Back many moons ago I use to do some bunny hunting on Cheatham WMA but don't know what it would be like these days since the Coyotes have about taken over the WMA's and killed off many of the rabbits but might be worth a trip down and hunt the Goatie Fields on the Reserve.
