  1. Besides using .22LR conversion kits: https://www.military.com/join-armed-forces/air-force-rifle-qualification-course.html The Air Force used to also require qualification on the M-9 pistol during basic training, but this requirement was recently eliminated. During the actual firing, you'll fire a total of 80 rounds at a man-sized target (upper body only) at ranges from 75 meters to 300 meters (1 meter = 1.094 yards). The range at Lackland is a short range, so you'll actually be firing from only 25 yards away. However, the target sizes are shrunk to represent the proper sizes at the specified distances (75 meters, 175 meters, and 300 meters). The Air Force conducts its basic training weapons qualification course in three phases. Tip: Airmen who hit the target at least 35 times qualify for the Small Arms Expert Ribbon.
  2. I am assuming that the intent was to make it light for long walks to your hunting position.
  3. Yes, it's irritating to say thank you to someone and they don't say you're welcome, and how "My bad" has replaced "I'm sorry."
  4. Well, they did discuss healthcare frequently before the election, and Senator John RINO McCain screwed it up. Now I suspect they don't want to travel down that road again because the right can't get their together on these types of issues.
  5. It would certainly change the dynamics of the presidential election, wouldn't it?
  6. I dunno about that. Many people do not even vote because they know how their state will go. I believe that Oh Shoot was one of them on this very forum. I think that if there wasn't the electoral college and the election counting was pure nationwide popular vote you'd see many more people voting that normally don't.
  7. As I told Rob, if a damned Saudi Arabian terrorist that I don't know can buy a gun I can damn well do a personal sale to someone I am familiar with.
  8. PM inbound
  9. To help a brother out I'd resell you mine. I've only shot a cylinder full of shot shells through it since I bought it on my birthday last August 21st. I can always get another one.
  10. Here's a good development. https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/virginia-lawmakers-reject-assault-weapon-ban
  11. I have one but I got it to load shot shells for shooting Carpenter Bees, snakes, and rodents so I can't attest to bullet accuracy.
  12. I wise man learns from the mistakes of others.
  13. That speedway tanked because they screwed up on the bank. It's not steep enough.
  14. I live on flat land, so I poured a foundation and used railroad ties stacked over 8' high and pinned together. It's formed like a wall with wings out to the side. Then I rented a Bobcat and took the dirt that was excavated for the pool and piled it on both sides of the railroad ties: one side to stop bullets and the other side to support the railroad ties. The Bobcat couldn't pile the dirt high enough so I have to do a bit of shovel work. The very hot weather set-in so I didn't get a chance to pile the dirt up higher on the bullet side. When the weather cooperates I have to get back there and get that done and then I'll be in good shape.
  15. It looks like he has extremely pale skin and wears make-up to cover it up. I'm with Red333.
  16. Congrats on the new daughter, David.
  17. Dude lost Rock, Paper, Scissors for sure!
  18. WOW! I hadn't even thought of that. I guess I assumed that the blades wouldn't wear out - particularly in less than 20 years.
  19. I hope they're biodegradable!
  20. I'd hope that he had a rifle somewhere.
  21. Proof that the Russians will shoot you in the balls to make things worse.
  22. I view this as a challenge!
  23. That sounds as uncomfortable as hell.
  24. I think that he already did get all of the candy.
