  1. Another shooting at Austin East HS, makes the 3rd, maybe 4th shooting related to this particular school. One deceased, LEO treated at UTMC and is ok, no life threatening injuries to the LEO. ATF is involved somehow as well.
  2. Is this a good "plug & play" kit to get, or are you talking about building a pi-hole. I like the idea of striking back at the internet world and their cookies. https://www.adafruit.com/product/4475?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0-Lv7fnd7wIV4w6tBh2bPwfeEAQYASABEgJQh_D_BwE Or could you provide a link or 2 about this that helps the non tech savy guys. LOL
  3. The dealer where I got all of mine offers a "wallet size" version that is laminated, so I carry that in my wallet, but have never been asked to show it by anyone.
  4. Bill's Outpost in Mrrrrrrville will do that as well.
  5. my brother has two green eggs, the small one and next size up. His son and SIL have one or more green eggs as well. I have owned Weber gas grills for the last 30+ yrs, rebuilt a couple of them as the hood and bottom portion were still in great condition, so I got the rebuild parts from weber for each of them after 10 or so yrs of weekly use, or more. I currently have a Weber Genesis LXII that I found at a discount store in pieces (NIB but no box LOL) for $100, and a natural gas model as well. These retail for over $1000, so...only thing missing was the grates, I called Weber to order some, they said no, because it was new, they shipped the grates free. This grill is huge, way too big for just the wife and I, but for $100, I could not pass on it. I use it but don't like the XXXXL size, but it cooks great. I also have a Weber Q for the back porch, and it fits in the TT as well. LOL.
  6. We had heavy rains at times, on and off, but nothing more. I was outside yesterday on the porch, and hear a roar off in the distance, no rain at the time, and then all of the surrounding trees (none in our yard) starting swaying to beat the band. Had some wind gusts for 5 minutes or so, and then back to normal. I've heard that roar before and it's never a good thing for sure. I saw the moon and lightning last night after dark, never seen that combo before. This morning the open fields surrounding our house have a couple new small ponds that show up when we get rains like this. Luckily those ponds are 50-75 yds from the house, and the sump pump is working just fine.
  7. I find the Wrangler carpenter style shorts (& pants) very comfy, and wear well. I prefer my clothes on the loose side so I'm not all bound up when sitting, etc., or mowing the yard, yada yada yada.
  8. Money can be a driving force for many people, or climbing the ladder. Where will the higher paying job lead you in the future? More responsibility, more $$ ?? More responsibility and $$ usually leads to more stress in your life whether you admit it or not. The union association can cause stress as well. If you are happy & content doing what you currently do, I would suggest you stay where you are. If your employer knows you can do a good job w/o supervision, they will remember that, up to a point. GL.
  9. I use the FA wet tumblers, have the large and small, they may be less $$, very satisfied with both of them. Get the wet/dry media separator, very useful. I've not found a SS pin in any brass after the dry cycle when i continue on with the brass processing for reloading.
  10. HF has some cleaning media that is reasonable, I've used the fine grit media but I usually wet tumble as well. https://www.harborfreight.com/25-lbs-fine-grade-walnut-shell-blast-media-92155.html?_br_psugg_q=cleaning+media
  11. Do I see some gonads way up high??? What does this say about men????
  12. I renewed my fishing license last week, and qualified for the "old fart" lifetime license, so I'm set going forward. Now if the wind will lay down. Tried to go yesterday, and just ended up towing the boat for about 30 miles, white caps at the ramp, so I came home.
  13. I enjoy watching it. I prefer Fords but not Carharts. LOL. The challenges are pretty good, people trying to do something they have little to no experience with for the most part, sometimes their background helps, sometimes not. Not as much of a "social experiment" like Survivor, and no where near the drama either which is good.
  14. Prayers for the family in this time of sorrow.
  15. how far away is your gen set up and the connection points to feed the house FROM your main breaker panel for the house. My main breaker panel is close to the front of the house, so setting a gen up in plain sight is not good IMO. Noise wise yes, it's away from the living areas of the house, but in plain view from the road in our subdivision.
  16. Mind sharing how much it cost for Lee Company to do the wiring job? I've considered something similar but never pursued it much. TIA
  17. I was by SW in Chattanooga this past weekend, there was NO powder or primers on the display shelf, and only 5-10 boxes of bullets, one of which I bought for $12+tax (20 cal 32g Noslers). I was surprised by the price more than the fact they actually had something I choot. LOL
  18. I've seen a couple Cosworth Vega's, even test drove a used one. That was some fun, more power than that little car needed but it marked it's spot on the car lot with an oil leak, so I passed. Never drove a V8 version but would have loved to. I wonder if anyone has a Vega at the local car shows or anything. Haven't seen one on the road in years. LOL
  19. First wife had a late 70's Toyota Corona/Corolla, with AT, sucked big time. Turning around 3K rpm's on the interstate did NOT make it an econo car by any definition, and the hum from that 4cyl engine was bad as well. I would take my Vega over that POS any day of the week. The Vega was part of my growing up, and as I age, I would love to go back to that time, BUT retain the knowledge I have earned/learned from the school of hard knocks. LOL
  20. My brother got on a '72 for his 18th bday, he did not take care of it, blew a cyclinder and put steel liners in. He kept it thru college then got rid of it. I also got one ('73) for my 18th BD, and was able to order it like I wanted since I knew I was getting a car for my 18th BD. I had to pay the difference between the base model and the GT level, which included a a 2 barrel carb, a big wide racing stripe down the center of the card, sport wheels and short throw 4 spd. I was "hot stuff". LOL Mine was Medium Bronze Metallic, white stipe, beige interior. Drove it all thru college and several years afterwards for my first job. NO AC, and had a tenacity to overheat, so I put an oversized radiator in it from a Vega with AC, and then had a bit of a problem with it running warm enough to get heat during the winter. A piece of cardboard behind the grill solved that for me. LOL Some moroon tried to turn left in front me and totalled the car in '79 IIRC. Loved that car, and still wish I had it. Don't see 'em on the roads anymore, just a few on the drag strips in pics. You could order a panel wagon with a 350 & 4 spd IIRC, some guy had one in my town, it would haul azz for sure. I had mine up to 110mph on the interstate one day, front end got so light I lost steering control and let off the gas. Front end came back down and I never did that again. LOL I've got one picture of mine sitting in the yard, and would love to have it back. LOL.
  21. I've got a pair of the "Muck" brand boots, pretty comfy but heavy. I wear 'em during winter fishing, not hunting. Recently got a pair of similar boots from Academy Sports for $60 or so, much lighter, thinner soles, just as comfy when walking. Not worn the new ones fishing yet just around the house due to all this wet weather we have now.
  22. I got one when we lived in the FL panhandle after Opal wandered thru. I start it up 1-2x a year but sits in the shed the rest of the time House is not wired for this, but I can run a extension cord thru a window, etc., to run a few things like the fridge and coffee pot, I just run all of the gas back out of it so the carb is empty & dry along with some stabil. I'm surprised each time I start it at how easy it does start.
  23. I've removed live primers from brass that had NO crimps on the pocket (22-250), just go slow and steady, wear PPE. I saved those primers as I didn't know whether they were 200 or 250, and the seller could not remember either. I needed to re-size the brass anyways as it had been neck sized for sellers rifle, not mine so. I did not set any off but was glad when I had 'em all done. I've used these primers for fouler rounds, everyone has gone bang , seat with normal pressure, etc. Just go slow and carefully.
  24. There's a saying for weather here in TN, "if you don't like the weather now, just wait 5 minutes and it will change." Good luck to you folks in the path of the storm(s). Watching the weather channel now, and they are calling the 2 or 3 storms moving across the nation "Historic Winter Invasion", the WC has turned into a drama queen for ratings. LOL.
  25. And for my area (between Knoxville & Chattanooga), forecasting a small chance for a light dusting. LOL Be careful in Music city.
