  1. Y'all see this? https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2020/03/22/nics-check-shutdown/ Not surprising as its NJ, but wow.
  2. So you are a fan of the Bose Solo15? I need to replace my Sony sound bar that just died...do you recommend it?
  3. My Sony sound bar just died so i need to replace it...not sure which I will go with at this point. Also, I've noticed movies on Amazon and Netflix are particularly hard to understand the dialog.
  4. Internet and telephone call centers are being swamped nationwide and this is overwhelming some systems. Includes Unemployment insurance systems as well.
  5. Ive got a P-01, P-07 and a P-09. Think the P-07 is my favorite.
  6. Cant do Houston or Indy, but if Im still alive I light consider spending a day in Louisville....
  7. I went early and was able to park across the street for 10 bucks. Wonder if they will come back soon?
  8. I was too...
  9. Might be a good form of currency or barter material...I shoot, but I like to rotate as I also try to keep a certain number of rounds in stock...never really know when some kind of gun or ammo control will be implemented: https://www.mom-at-arms.com/post/breaking-city-of-champaign-illinois-using-covid-19-outbreak-to-enact-gun-control

    Midway

Watched the newest Midway movie last night. Good flick if you like war movies! Pretty good acting, seemed well made and fairly accurate, for Hollywood anyway, lol. http://www.historyvshollywood.com/reelfaces/midway/
  12. When I was in ( a long time ago, lol) it was 120 bucks for a m-16. I read online recently that the m-4s were around 205 a copy, but not sure how accurate that was.
  13. The way I interpret the locked requirement is if the gun is out of sight, and the vehicle is locked, you are legal. Doesn't have to be in a locked glove box necessarily or a lockbox...Personnally I don’t leave my gun in my vehicle routinely, but there are occasions where I am kinda forced to by asinine rules like not being allowed to carry at a particular venue, but unwilling to not go there, like the post office for example. I keep a lock box in my car for extra security, not because it’s required. The box is out of sight, locked, with a steel cable securing it to the vehicle, plus the car is also locked and alarm set too. I drive a suv that I have been unable to find a supplier of ready made firearms locking boxes for. I’ve seen some nice ones for the console of some vehicles, like the Ford F-150...but not mine.
  14. I saw that earlier this morning. Looks cool and would make an awesome truck gun, lol. Speaking of which, I wish I could come up with an affordable, unobtrusive method of securing a small ar in my SUV, without making it uber obvious or uber expensive, lol. Ive got a small lockbox, secured by a steel cable that i use in emergencies for my pistol, but it wont really fit anywhere up front, at least accessibly, so its secured in the back storage area.
  15. Welcome. Im also a vet, and was stationed for a short time at Homestead AFB, down near Miami. I hated it, lol, and now I live outside Nashville, where I see the same thing you describe in Fl. Buncha outsiders moving in from north east and west coast, wanting to make this just like the place they ruined before moving here...
  16. There are variances, depending on the sight and the gun. Just ask before you buy to make sure.
  17. I swear by these: https://www.suspenderstore.com/2-inch-wide-perry-belt-clip-suspenders/ They hook onto your belt instead of clipping to your pants. They never come loose and help the weight around your waist. I often carry my P-365XL at 4-5 IWB and my .380 bodyguard in my pocket while wearing these suspenders and a belt.
  18. Kinda funny story, back in the day, the unit i was in only had one old handheld radar gun, and it was often down for maintenance. We also used those old Motorola 'brick' radios in a leather case. I always figured the intent of traffic enforcement was safety and getting speeders to slow down, so, when the radar was down, i used to aim my radio at cars and tehys slow the heck down when they saw me doing that, lol.
  19. Wonder when this sight will be available?
  20. Im really interested in the 507K for my 365XL..., but I have a few questions...on kenzies web page, https://www.kenziesoptics.com/product/holosun-507k-red-dot/ there is no mention of the solar charging panel, but in the article above it says it has that...anyone know? Also for those with experience with these style of optics, will new holsters be in order?
  21. Did a lot of research before I really considered a .380, and while I still prefer a bigger round, ya can’t beat a pocket .380 in certain situations where anything bigger is difficult to do...I sometimes carry a S&W .380 Bodyguard with a crimson trace laser in a pocket holster in my front pants pocket as a primary, but usually it’s in the same place as a backup to my 9mm EDC. Modern .380 rounds are much improved in a self defense round. I keep mine loaded with Hornady Critical Defense polymer tipped hollow points.
  22. Which sight is that?
  23. How do you like that sight? I’m thinking of trying similar on my sig 365XL.
  24. I want one of these!
  25. This is my favorite gun ever! Its a great shooter, but I dont carry it, she's a safe queen.
