  1. Welcome to Tennessee. We moved down last year from wonderful New York State. All I can say is when I open my eyes in the morning the first thing I do is smile. You will love it here. We sure do!!
  2. If your just target shooting get some Easton 2013 with 5" feathers cut to your length. Nice inexpensive arrow, pretty durable. Full Metal Jackets are a great arrow, I use them for hunting, pricey. You can go on Easton's web site they have a nice arrow selector setup, just plug your numbers in, draw length, lbs pull intended use etc. Gives you good recommendations.
  3. Well shiver me timbers YARR mates
  4. Welcome, and thanks for your service.
  5. This is my everyday carry, Dan Wesson Guardian in 45acp, RGrizzle holster. Get a good belt and it carries well. During the summer I use either an XDS 3.3 in 45 or a Sig P938, hard for me to hide the Guardian under a tee shirt even with a IWB holster.
  6. Would make a nice Christmas present!

  10. I just moved from NY also, first thing I did was get Tennessee license plates etc. Could not wait to get that New York stink off me. Just do it.
  11. For going to the range and shooting holes in paper 22 is plenty good. If you want to varmint hunt 22mag is way better at that. If you want something different look into 5mm Remington, its a necked down 22mag, much more accurate than 22mag. Don't know if anyone makes a rifle chambered for it any more.
  12. Yes it is

  15. All good guns, get what you shoot best at this point and practice with it, get a good holster. Maybe do some IDPA shoots. My first pistol was a Colt 1911, carried it for two years before it got too heavy. Got to be motivated!
  16. My wife was on the front porch yesterday evening, around 6:30 saw a coyote trotting down the street. We're currently living in a subdevelopment in West Knoxville off of Ebenezer. I was surprised, rascals are spreading I guess.
