  1. Jury nullification is an option in many states in a case like that father is going through. If justice is blind, there is only one outcome possible. I pray for that to happen
  2. Ah, you are forgetting the most important item! It is the MONEY, it is justifying the budget to fund the agency. They have a full license to lie to the American people through the press and what ever means possible. Follow the money trail. The police are used as pawns in their quest for justification. They are following orders. Read about all the major news stories where these agencies got their hands caught in the cookie jar. Do you see any evidence that the people who ordered the event ever got prosecuted?
  3. I pray that the Magpul leaders have the sense and wherewithal to coordinate a press conference where they immediately sign those contracts in full public view right after the governor signs that bill.
  4. Yes it does. " The short answer is: police in almost all circumstances are allowed to say whatever they want to get you to incriminate yourself." /Internet quote FWIW ... And I do state for the record that I am pro-LE and respect the job they do. I am against bad laws and the political and legal consequences that are incurred when they are enforced selectively to prove an agenda that has no basis on logic or reason. I read history to learn the lessons taught. What I have learned is when a bad law is implemented, evil fills the vacuum that is left behind. Much of our current societal ills today are a direct result of bad laws and legislation enacted and enforced. That, my LE colleague, is not humor ... rather it is abject horror that the obvious is ignored and the agendas are implemented.
  5. Police are allowed to lie to prove intent among other issues.
  6. Because they lead with hyperbole and emotion rather than logic and reason. Hitler and the other genocidal leaders used these tactics with great success.
  7. As testament to the man's character, look to what he did with the book proceeds/profits ... http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/12/us/chris-kyle-ex-sniper-recalled-as-warrior-and-father.html?_r=0 I bought an electronic version of his book and will follow up with a paper copy. What is infuriating is that he qualifies for Feinstein's "no-buy" list because of PTSD he documented in his book. The liberals cannot understand when something is outlawed ... Evil takes its place. Look through history and see what the Prohibition created along with the well documented results that gun control and confiscation has placed on subject populations. Look at the most restrictive gun control areas of this country ... evil runs rampant ... Chicago, DC, NYC ... It does not work and the willful blindness terrifies me.
  8. I bought a set that looks like the current Grace sets on sale now at Midway almost forty years ago. Still have most of them and they held up well over the years. When it comes to tools, I learned at a very early age to get quality ... buy once, cry once. Other than the occasional stolen or lost tool, I still have them all and they have served me for a lifetime. I worked them hard and they never failed me. I fully expect to pass them down to my son if he ever gets his head out of his butt. If not, I'll give them to my stepson.
  9. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS!
  10. My sig 1911 is a tack driver and everyone I let shoot it wants to buy it.
  11. + 1 Check your man card! This must of happened in front of the bacon! Right? Kudos to a great event!
  12. Bravo! /standing ovation/
  13. I used to think zombies were silly ... Till bath salts came on the scene! It's getting pretty scary.
  14. Red box is same stuff military uses, blue box are once used reloaded brass. Either way, top of the line ammo focused on precision shooting. Our troops in the sandbox love this stuff! Research Mark 262 Mod 1
  15. Original news article and consequences in this thread ... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/60930-bangor-maine-newspaper-requests-names-addresses-of-cwp-holders/#entry913197
  16. From the horses mouth .... They went too far and got their hand slapped! http://bangordailynews.com/2013/02/15/news/state/editors-note-bdn-rescinds-request-for-records-of-concealed-weapon-permit-holders/ Now the governor who is one of the most conservative republicans to get that office is locking it down ... YEAH! Check out his picture ... look what he's holding in his hand! :lmao: http://bangordailynews.com/2013/02/15/politics/lepage-seeks-emergency-block-on-release-of-concealed-weapons-permit-holders-info/
  17. Saw one at Sportsman Warehouse last week in Chattanooga. Give them a call to see if its still there. Barrel was fluted and that is what caught my attention.
  18. Awesome! Are we seeing the people saying "enough is enough"!
  19. http://bangordailynews.com/2013/02/14/news/state/editors-note-bdns-request-for-information-on-concealed-weapons-permits/?ref=relatedSidebar I call BS on that. Was raised in that state and very familiar with their spewing anti-gun rants and diatribes. The DOB request is to collate a series of cases for anti-gun stories correlating domestic violence, crime and other "convenient coincidents". Southern Maine is considered Northern Massachusetts by the rest of the state which is very pro second amendment. Read the comments below this "letter of explanation".
  20. Is a locked car like a safe? Would one need a search warrant to search my car?
  21. +2 for Christy. Very thorough and knows the subject cold. Unfortunately I am done doing business with Carter's, Benton Shooters Supply and every other gun shop that exploited pricing such as $50 30-round mags. My business will go to Sportsmans Warehouse, Academy Sports, Walmart, GT Distributors and a few more that did not cash in the craze. They earned my business and I vote with my dollars. A couple of those business' got some significant purchases from me in the last couple of months and I made sure they knew it was because of their ethics and business practices.
  22. THIS! Pressures are higher in a rifle and pistol primers are thinner metal. Do you have any idea what happens if the round goes off before the bolt rotates closed?
