  1. Nice comparison. Thanks for showing this. I do have to admit that in the physical appearance department, the SR9c does win out.
  2. I miss the SR9c sometimes. I really didn't get attached to it much. I thought it a bit awkward and heavy for my little mitts. I had 2 at different times, and we just didn't mesh. I sold my last one to Musicman several years ago. BTW, is he still around?
  3. To those who remember him...looks like Bill, the Rabbi.
  4. Agreed. That looks sooo much like a bad plaster of paris job. lol
  5. I believe I might have to have a couple. lol
  6. Sweet rig. You a crossdraw guy? Or just laced it backwards? lol
  7. Gun-wise, not much more beautiful than a SA pistol. Like these.
  8. Looking at several holders now. Really don't like any of them. Might just give up phone in car completely. lol I mean we all survived before cell phones...surely we can do it again. Maybe.
  9. Thanks for this pic. Seeing the interior and some of its accessories just adds to its quirky nature for me.
  10. Yes...beauty is subjective. And in the eye of the beholder. lol I won't deny the vehicle has a certain "quality and quirkiness, even an opulent utilitarianism" about it. A vehicle built of desires and "requirements" far beyond the norm. It is quite a unique vehicle and certainly part of the history and mystique of The King Ranch.
  11. Great photos! But that abomination may just be the ugliest Buick I have ever seen.
  12. My wife and I just watched Cold Blue. Really should have gone to bed, but saw it listed and just had to stay up for it. Lots of thing I could say for this documentary...how great it was, how the men were such heroes, how inspiring, and so much more. I'll just say we both had tears in our eyes during it. I plan on recording it.
  13. Me Too! Back is "out" this morning, and watching the BeeGees with the North Koreans made me Hurt So Bad from laughing!
  14. You ain't right!!! But that's hilarious!
  15. Like the looks of that monster!
  16. Remember it well. All over the news that day. People running. People looking like they were cheering him on at some points. Sad that it came to such an end. Perhaps this says too much about me and my thinking, but I empathasize with Mr. Heemeyer's actions. Sometimes you can be pushed just so far when supposedly rational men and actions go against everything you believe is right and moral.

    New Glock

Thanks for the recommendation. I actually have been thinking of the Holosun products. I first saw one on a Bren Rifle a year or so back and was impressed with it.
  18. Sweet set there. Personally not a fan of these, or most SA styles. But that doesn't mean I can't appreciate them. I actually have 2 Colt Commemoratives from my father-in-law. Never shot, but not a super collectible in the younger shooting crowd these days. So I may get around to it.
  19. Thanks for all the very good information guys. We have an overgrown hillside on our property that is a prime growth area for ticks and skeeters. I'm not able to cut it myself, and have had no luck in getting someone to do it. So we spray ourselves when going out. Keep our dog protected as well as we can, and just keep checking ourselves for ticks and other bites

    New Glock

I had an RMR on a Glock 34 a couple years back. I just couldn't get to like it back then, but am giving some thought to trying it once more. I saw one of the Canik models with an optic and it was really tempting. Makes me want to sell something and get it. lol
  21. You always have such interesting pieces.
  22. To me, feels like holding an XD or a small 1911. The same holding form and mindset necessary for all three. It's remarkably comfortable to hold.
  23. Stop tempting me! lol I have held a few and do like them. Maybe someday. Maybe not too far off either. My right hand is telling me lately how bad I've treated it over the years.
  24. As usual, great video. I found it informative and enjoyable.
  25. Also the greatest for making you(me) waste time watching useless videos for hours on end. lol
