LOVE IT!
-
I did. No more money to any of their brands will come from me or my family.

I wonder...could alcohol possibly been involved here? lol

Resistance is futile!

Me too. I just sprayed a BCG and Charging handle this afternoon. Wife hasn't smelled it yet. So I think I got away with doing it in the house.

Well said, sir.

I add my congratulations to all these as well, Lumberjack. But where's his beard?
-
Now don't you wish CommsnBombs was back?
-
No, I haven't seen one in my travels this week. Visited several local shops just...well...because. lol

I like that idea! Can I put in an order with you?

I passed on a couple of these back in late '08. Big mistake. Fresh imports in very good condition. Stupid low prices back then.

Velcro strap for velcro gun case?
hipower replied to jwhjwh54's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Go to Amazon.com and search for Velcro straps. They have all kinds and sizes. I believe they will work for what you need, not quite exactly the same look though. Depending on size and style, those similar to yours are around 10 bucks each. Over the last few years, I've been very surprised at the things you can get on Amazon. They are my first search now unless I google a specific item/location. -
Done a few deals with KahrMan myself, and I'll echo your sentiments. A great person to meet, and a gentleman of the first order. One of the absolute icons of TGO!

Sounds like you hit the medical pool jackpot with this man. I'm very glad for you. Having trust in our physicians is a necessary thing. If we/I don't like them or am not comfortable with him or her...get another. Way too important to be unhappy with them.

That would be a terrific price. However...I think it might be a bit more for all hand done work as his site says. We shall see. Well, it seems our posts past each other. lol I must say that is a lot of money, but that's some of the most impressive work I've ever seen pics of. Probably looks even better in person. But I doubt I'll ever have the funds to do something like that.

WOW! The man's work is AMAZING! Would love to have one of my Dad's guns done up like that. Maybe when I win the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes.

Thanks prag. My ultimate goal is to get one of the 22 mag Smiths. (Yes as much for me as her. lol) The 351 PD I believe was the model. They are just a wee bit pricey.

Black Aces Tactical "Impractical" fix mod / Moss 930

That's one mean looking shotty! -
I am getting old and senile. I just slid right across that without any thought of it. But yeah, that works and fits my recollections of military parlance.

Good little tutorial gtg. I've not been one for grip tapes in the past, but thinking more seriously about it these days. And since I do have a couple of CZs, your work sure makes sense for me to try. I really had not even thought about adding it to the beavertail. That's a great notion! Thanks for the input.

Very good comments here from BHG123. My wife has some issues with her wrists as well these last few years. Very few things she will even try to hold these days because of the weight and size. She used to shoot a 4" K frame Smith that my Dad gave her, but the weight is just more than she can handle. We've tried several different lightweight revolvers and just cannot handle the recoil. Yes, she has pretty weak wrists from carpal tunnel issues and some old injuries. My Shield is manageable, but she doesn't like it. After much looking, I found something she will shoot...a Smith 416. Yes, it's a 22, but better than nothing. I bought a Crimson Trace laser for it. It's the grip activation model, so we just leave the unit in the on position and I change the battery in it every year. We spent a bit of time with it, and have it laser and impact point all dead on at 25 feet. I've told her to just watch the dot and pull the trigger until it's empty. Not the best possible solution, but it seems to work for her.

Same here. I got one from my father-in-law some years back. Looks unfired, and I just hate to think of doing it, but at some point I probably will.

It sure looks that way, and I missed it. Though not a Mason, if I could afford it; that would be a wonderful tribute pistol to my father.
