Wow! That is gorgeous! And looks vaguely similar to one I bought from a certain guy here, lol

Hadn't thought about that one in a long time. It was a mess all right. I was working on 1st near the Stockyard Resturant at the time. Left work at 3:30 to drive 11 miles to Hermitage. I got home about 11:30, and drove so many side roads and backstreets trying to get out of downtown I got lost several times. lol Had an old 67 Pontiac Catalina then. Big honking gas tank on it. I was on fumes by the time I hit Donelson. Good ol' days, right?

Lots of information here. I've had all kinds of similar pocket lights. I seem to prefer the push button on the end cap more so than the twist on type. Actually just added the Streamlight ProTac 2L to my Amazon order, and looking at the 1L version as well. I'm sure I'm no different than the rest of you guys, I have small lights stashed all around the house for any need that might arise. Don't have a Costco membership any more, but I bought several 3 packs of lights there 2/3 years ago. Don't know that I've seen them again. They were Fiet Electric brand.

Looks very good. But a bit far for my use. It's in Spencer, Tn. I finally found the location on their site.

I'm very happy with the lot of 30/50 cal cans I bought off eBay. That lot of 24 was a bit less than 250 and free shipping. All used/surplus military cans. Excellent condition. I had a few scratches on 3 of them, and one with a bit of surface rust on a bottom corner. I scuffed it and sprayed with a Krylon sealer. I've heard no bad comments from those who split the order with me. Currently, there are still quite a few available on ebay. I can't post the links, not proficient with the necessary procedure. An example shows 12 50 cal cans for 99.99 with free shipping, another shows 8 for 80 and free shipping. I've been very happy with what I've ordered and will continue to do so as I need more. There are many sizes available...from 30, 50, and I saw up to 120 mm. Just take a look. You might find something interesting. I'm sure those from Academy are good quality, but I still prefer the military surplus cans. Fanaticism? Loyalty? Whatever, good deals on them on ebay. I've received every order within 5 days, sometimes even 3 days. JMO.

Opinions vary on this. "Nuff said.

Prayers and condolences for his family. Death has no respect of age. Any of use could be gone in the next second. Try to live our lives accordingly.

Guess I should read the captions. lol I just saw the looks of the blade and went off.

Gorgeous! Love Damascus blades!

As with Doug, that's good news. Sure seems like a lot of us are getting to "that age" lately. Lots of health issues cropping up.
-
It will get better. I've been there and can tell you it will be better.

Firstly, praying for our friend Doug. Secondly, I'll echo nOrlf's comment. Guys, we aren't 20 anymore. We don't bounce back like we once did. I can attest to that part. I just spent New Years day and until Thursday evening in the hospital with double pneumonia. Watch out where you can, but germs and virus strains are everywhere! I'm still coughing and probably will be miserable for the next week. But back to Doug. My prayers for you buddy.

Same here. And yes, every bit of that weight I'd say. Also agree on the HF furniture cart use. I've got 4 done this way, loaded with long term storage, and lesser used ammo. I hope I never have to move them quickly.

Very nice. I like it.

I'm still undecided on whether or not these will work for me. I did get some for my brother-in-law, and got one for myself as well when I ordered his. Definitely worth the money though.

Very well said, sir! In many cases, some of us get to the point of neglecting good care of our firearms, especially carry guns. I know that seems crazy, but relating it to me. I've found that I had a tendency to drop my carry piece into my change drawer when arriving home. It would sometimes go a great deal of time before cleaning. Usually when I'd notice the pocket lint collecting on it. Don't be me! Don't do that!

I understand that. I've sort of always wanted a Luger myself. But when I look at them, I realize I just really don't like the feel and the toggle charger. Just me, I know, because hundreds of thousands of people seem to either have one, or be looking for one. Almost bought one at the last TCMA show I went to, but that was several years back. Another in the "I want category" is a Chinese "Red 9" Mauser. I see myself doing this before a Luger.

I understand that on both counts. I had a tie-in with a shop I liked, but a bit far from me, at a 60+ mile round trip. But when brother-in-law moved, I lost the " special treatment" I was getting. No reflection on the man and his shop, just wasn't as easily done afterwards.

We agree on the Canik TP9...very good guns. Especially when you can get them in the 300-350 range. As more and more people buy them, word is getting around about how good they are. So pricing has been creeping up recently. I got my first one for 229. But that was when they first began showing up. Never regretted it. As for the Taurus, I haven't bought one in several years, but they generally have a good reputation. My personal favorite Taurus is an old PT100 in 40. Followed closely by the PT Millenium series guns. I sent one back last year during the "safety recall/upgrade/repair" and lost a great little 9mm. But did get a better(?) one in return. It was before all the replacement guns became available. My dealer harassed the CS people so much they just promised to send something quickly to get him off their backs. lol I received a Gen2 PT24/7 and it's still in my safe. Maybe one day I'll shoot it.

That was a troubling point when I started checking customer reviews on the Rural King site. Not a lot saying they'd not received a refund, but enough to warrant a hesitation on buying; especially in light of the other reviews stating problems with functions on the Remington guns.
-
Wasn't shipping to your fav FFL available? I didn't follow thru to look.
-
Hey...let's not get insulting here! Taurus is better than that. They can at least sell some guns. lol

And more trips to empty yourself each day? lol
