  1. My Molly, lying at my feet right now, is an 8 year old Border Collie/Aussie Shepard mix. She currently weighs in at 39 pounds. And is the pickiest eating dog we have ever had. She will eat only Wilderness Blue Salmon flavor. Hates canned foods of any kind, even the candy of dog foods...Alpo. Will sniff and walk away from it. I've given up on trying other dry foods. It's just a waste of money. Even the other flavors of Blue get ignored. As far as treats, she will beg and plead for Greenies until she gets one. And a 30+ a box that gets expensive. I've taken to getting the larger size and giving her half of it. Seems to work. But...she also gets a denta-stick a day, and a small chicken jerky treat. Molly has gotten me very well trained. I fix her food and fresh water, call her several times; and rarely will she eat without one of her treats as an appetizer. lol She really hates pills, but recently has given up. When I show her the pill, Molly will sit at my feet and allow me to gently(pry) her mouth open and drop the pill on the back of her tongue. Still hates them, but is getting resigned to them I guess. All in all, I'm a well trained human. She did a great job with me.
  2. Very Glad she's doing better! But Kasey and I both need to loose some weight. I bet she does it easier than I do.
  3. That's actually very nice looking. A lot of the cuts I've seen on slides are just awful.
  4. So sad...but so true.
  5. Sorry to hear that. I'm not complaining, many people lost their homes in 2010. We lost a heat pump and duct work with some sheetrock replacement in the garages. Unfortunately...all my books and comics were on shelves in the attached garage, which had almost 3 feet of water in it. And even bagged, paper leeches the humidity and is damaged when it encounters conditions like we had then. I just told my wife to leave me alone as I trashed it. Yes, it hurt a lot having to put all that in trash cans. That covered over 35 years of accumulating paper items. No, they weren't insured with flood coverage; and neither was the house then.
  6. Loved Jerry and Sharon Ahern's writing. Had all of their books...until the 2010 flood.
  7. My wife came in last night saying the rumor where she worked was that each final episode was to be "movie length". Don't know where that came from.
  8. Yes, I got the Prime package as well. Seems to be lots of interesting things there. As far as WW...well I just didn't get into it like I'd expected to. Like you, I saw the finale and it sort of got me. I'll try to get it in my watch cycle.
  9. As I stated earlier, I intended to sit in my back yard and watch it. I'd been watching the sun's path and knew that if not too cloudy, I'd have a good viewing. It was. Though it was at times cloudy, which actually helped me see the progression, I had a good spot. I watched the slow darkening, and the colors of the clouds and on the ground. I got a great view and was totally surprised when the outside yard lights came on. I just was so enthralled it all came on so quickly. I had chills as I was watching. It was a gift from God to see what He created and how intricately, and beautifully it all came together. I said a thankful prayer for such beauty.
  10. I had mentioned this possibility to my wife an episode or so ago as the possibility. We've seen the huge bears and elephants in the White Walkers army...so what about the dragon? Would it continue to breathe fire then? Or could it throw blasts of ice or super cold air to freeze others? Maybe we'll find out now.
  11. Sweet! I'd love to have one of these.
  12. Wasn't much, Doug, but happy to help where I can. I'd ask if any more of us could help? Maybe donate the cost of several boxes of your favorite ammo? That's what I based mine on(loosely) anyway. I can put off that 44mag purchase for a few days. Maybe this man isn't one of "us" as in TGO, but he is one of us as a family man and a human being. I know we cannot give to everything that comes in front of us. We almost have to be selective with so many requests we receive nowadays. But I've been where this fellow is. I went thru what he is entering. That touched me. Maybe for some reason it will touch you as well.
  13. Stop in, get your shotgun to push the wedding along, and pick up a few brews to help celebrate the event. A true one stop shop.
  14. Maybe some of you TMCA members can verify this...or prove that I've totally lost it. A couple years ago at Cool Springs, wasn't there an Indianapolis survivor there selling a book he had written about his experiences? I swear I remember talking to him for a while and buying copy of the book. I cannot locate it tonight.
  15. That's a hard pick for me. But I'd probably have to pick my Model 19 snubbie as my fav Smith wheelie. Then my 625 Mountain Gun in 45acp.
  16. I have one of these from my Dad. Nowhere as nice as this one though. Congrats on the score. But you really should have gotten the 36 as well. lol
  17. In spite of my moniker, I have a great love of Smith wheelies. I honestly don't think I have ever sold one of mine. That might change soon though. Old age creeping in. i
  18. Granted it's been several years ago, but I had a Gammo that didn't meet your comments. It wasn't Whisper quiet(sorry I had to do it. lol) but was quieter than those without the so-called suppressor on it. I got rid of it because it had a trigger worse than the worst of the little 22 mag derringers. Couldn't get a smooth pull to save my life out of it. Gave it to a neighbor I didn't like.

    My Glock 29

True, recoil isn't excessive. I just didn't really want another caliber to feed since it didn't really suite me. Annnnddd...one of brother-in-law's buddies wanted it. So off it went.

    My Glock 29

Congrats! I had a G20 but wimped out. Not man enough to handle that powerful man-stopper round.
  21. One of my favorites from the movie! But you've only see it 38 times?!? Shame on you! I really could not put a number to the times I've watched it. Aside from loving the BB themselves, and darn near getting divorced over playing the soundtrack on repeat for hours on end; I can honestly say that I've been known to watch at it several times a day as I'm doing daily housework chores. I'm very hard pressed to say which I've watched more...The Blues Brothers or the Terminator. Either one being on when my wife gets home will earn me a nasty look. lol Love Matt Murphy as well! The big man sure can make that guitar cry out.
  22. I'm not really and IWB sort of guy, but that looks great! Almost makes me want to try one.
  23. As well. I checked one over at G&L Hendersonville a week or so ago. It was ok, didn't really make me lust after it though. I thought maybe later. I guess it's much later now.
  24. Thanks for the map. Weather permitting, I will be sitting in the back yard watching. Just occurred to me...any reason I can't use my cell phone to video it? Anyone know?
  25. Well...I guess I better put my illegal affairs in order and say goodbye to all my friends and family. I just received a message that I was under indictment for tax evasion and was about to be arrested. But... If I called this number, 203-491-3062, immediately; I could get it resolved. lol Looks like it has started again. That's the 3rd one I've gotten this year. Can't believe I'm still here.
