Ok...confession time. I like Adele far more than my wife does. I'd love to see this concert. But ticket prices for this one, and many others are just way out of what I'd reasonably pay. Plus, I really dislike the seating at Bridgestone. I saw Riverdance there once. From 2nd row from the top. Awful seat, totally uncomfortable, and lousy view. I can see better from the top row at a Titans game than there.

Hinderer XM18 Fattys Wharncliffe Blades
hipower replied to willis68's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Love the Wharncliffe design, and until seeing the price, I had a hankerin' for one. Not disputing the quality or the people involved. I just can't spend that on it. If I could, one of these would be mine! -
Heading Protection Recommendation
hipower replied to TNman207's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Every product seems to have its pros and cons. I've had a lot of low end, non-electronic muffs. They work. But as we age, the sound muting of the electronic style sure are handy. And like firearms, each one is a good fit for some, better for others. I've had Peltor muffs and Howard Leights. Both seem about the same to me. I personally prefer, and am currently using Peltor units. I have a set in my range bags, one in the safe with my firearms(Just in case I need them quickly.), and several spares in storage. I ran into them in Lowes several years ago. They were less than 50 bucks each, so I bought 3 sets. Then my wife bought me 2 sets for my birthday. So I'm pretty well set. The only thing I dislike about them is the pita to replace the batteries. Otherwise ... they are fine for me. -
34. It's just plain fun.

Ok...I'm off on a different track here. I think the bear is mildly injured. See the raw skin at the jawbone on both sides of his head, just in front of the ears?

Before replacing the sights, and maybe before adjusting them, try the different grips and see how it does. I'm not saying you don't know how to position for a perfect trigger pull, just that I found it surprising that the larger grip helped my groupings. I usually use the medium or small grips on pistols that offer them. It just seemed to make a difference for me.

I'm not aware of this, but that means nothing. So I'll compare a Glock to the TP and give it a look see.

And we have another convert! lol Start acquiring mags for it as well. You'll need them. It gets tiring reloading all the time.

Sorry triple d, I didn't quote you on that one. Yes it was a reply to you. I don't guarantee anything, but all I can say is that I personally haven't seen or encountered any problems from an attempt at cleaning commercially loaded rounds. I do have someone who shall remain nameless, telling me it will work. I was just told not to go overboard on the tumbling. Just get the corrosion and dirt off. I hope some of the guys involved in that discussion will see this and chime in as well.

I got a 9mm upper from them earlier this year, planning on putting it together later. Before I got into the build, PSA came out with the U/L combo for 9mm mags and I got one. It works great. So that left me with the original upper. It mated with the Glock style lower, but wouldn't function. so I started asking PSA what it took to make it work. It took a while to get an answer. I guess they wanted to sell more of the newer units first. I was told at the NRA show that I could soon order on of the new "Hybrid" 9mm bolts and it would work with the Glock mag style lower. I finally got one, and it does. Now waiting to get my hands on one of the lowers that have the "last round bolt hold open" capability. I saw recently that they are now selling those separately instead of as a completed unit. They seem to go pretty fast.

Yes, got that email this morning. It sure will be worth a look, but I sure won't be dumping my MKll and MKlll pistols just to get the newest one.

Maybe just me, but I really can't say I was ever offended by him. Chagrined at his dislike of the mighty 40 perhaps though. I missed the finale here though. I bet it was....interesting.

Congrats! And yikes! You are in for a lively fatherhood. lol

Tears of joy, I'd think. I miss the guy. Did make for some lively threads. lol

It's assembled rounds, commercially produced. Stories of problems have made the rounds for years, but I've never encountered anyone who has had one. On several discussions here, I believe the thoughts were that it wasn't a problem.

Red dot / illuminated reticle suggestions?
hipower replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Thanks for the offer. If I don't just put another Bushnell(an older TRS model I found in the safe) on it tomorrow, I might try to connect and take you up on it. -
I've got some 38 and 357 rounds that look like that. The were not wet, but were stored in an area of high humidity after the 2013 flooding here. I keep saying I'm going to tumble them and try to clean them up...just haven't gotten around to it. Yes, I'm slow.

Red dot / illuminated reticle suggestions?
hipower replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Looking at this lately myself. The Burris FastFire 3 seems rather good. But I have a Vortex Strikefire ll on a rifle and quite happy with it. I'm really liking the CQB style scopes, but realistically, unless you are doing something more than pleasure shooting and getting into competative shooting ; I think spending a lot is unnecessary. Primary arms stuff can be had reasonable, and I have A Bushnell TRS25 that works well. But like you, I really want the FastFire 3. Just have to wait a bit for it. -
That would explain a few things. lol

G19. I've owned several, at different times. It's a good, quality tool. It works every time I pull the trigger. I have one stashed as a house gun. Is it pretty? Fancy? Newest thing out? No, none of these. But it works. Period. The G17...just a slightly bigger version.
