  1. Read all these suggestions. Think them over. Decide on your primary carry choice...iwb or owb. Then buy a cheap holster first. Probably a ballistic nylon to try your method of choice with for a while. Don't sweat the cost of trying one or more out. Make your pick then on a really good holster. I guarantee you will be like the vast majority of us and have a box full of holsters before you settle on one. Then you will buy another gun and find that what you have previously chosen won't work with the new pistol. Welcome to the world of carry.
  2. Amen brother! That's me to a "t". My wife even tells me I talk too much...but what does she know.
  3. The internet and smart phones have about destroyed the concept of true, actual, face to face talking.
  4. No...but that could be an excuse to make a road trip.
  5. But you have a plan and have started on it. That is the very good part. Being ready for any catastrophic event is just that...planning. You are on the way.
  6. Maybe they were all airsoft guns? lol Seriously though, I wonder who they were consigned to?
  7. I probably shouldn't have said that. A friend of mine did go and wasn't very happy with it. And the entertainment news people are giving it very bad marks. Also the box office receipts have really dropped off on it. But what do I know. I was appreciating the soundtrack.
  8. Well...it's certainly better than the movie. Well...it's certainly better than the movie.
  9. I used to be a bit hyper on the 223/556. Always wondering which to use or buy. Finally realized that my ARs are marked "multi" and quite worrying about it.
  10. Willie, Waylon, Kris, and Johnny. It really doesn't get much better than this. I just got a little chill watching/listening to this again.
  11. gLost my wife's Smith 417 once. We had to move out for some floor refinishing. I was absolutely sure I'd moved and locked all guns away safely. We got back in and put thins back in all the improper places around the house. But couldn't find that little Smith of hers. My wife found it about six weeks later. Under a stack of towels in the laundry area. I have no idea how it got there.
  12. Naked women?? Hmmmm. Did I speak too quickly?
  13. Thanks for posting this. If I get to Rivergate today, I'll check and see if any exist there.
  14. Yes...whatever happened there Gaston. People are eagerly awaiting that piece of fantasy work.
  15. While I can appreciate that the termination of "violence and extremist groups" is a good thing. I would prefer knowing more about their criteria for assessing just who these groups are. Would it be like the FB mass bans of accounts and postings concerning firearms groups and individuals, or something more substantial as those Islamic/Isis pages advocating violent action and acting as money laundering and collection agents. In either event, Twitter is a waste of time. Just another opiate for the masses. When I purchased our smartphones, the salesperson set up accounts for us both. I've never used it and don't intend to. Far too much needless BS from what I hear, and see from young friends who seem to live on it. They seemingly cannot go 5 minutes without going there. I have better more enjoyable ways to waste my time.
  16. Ok...looks like a possible addition to my never ending tool box. That's all for the product. Now for the long commercial...it was great!
  17. I can only stand a certain number of Glocks. I'm over my mandated limit now. Actually, as much as I like the lighter weight poly guns, I find now that few of them excite me much any more. I seem to be headed back to steel, or at least aluminum framed guns. You really don't know how much this surprises me.
  18. Big deal...another Glock.
  19. Kill'em all and start over!
  20. Well at least she coordinated with her phone.
  21. My prayers for you and yours.
  22. Good work, buddy. I like that. I found a salvage store several yeas ago while out on my route that had bought a freight carload of damaged Hazardrous Materials cabinets. I bought a 60'' x 36" x18" just to see how it would work, and that's all I get that day. Went back the next day and they were all gone. Anyway, it's a very good storage cabinet. Lockable, and vented. And very heavy! And that's before the ammo placed in it.
  23. Good voice for voice-over, you have. LOL Actually I just watched some old Star Wars and had to say it like that. I liked it. But your comments on the Super Collider at Cern really piqued my interest. What's your take on it?
  24. Having grown up just outside the city of Cookeville, I can say that a BLM protest there will go over like a fart in church. Should the people I know get involved, the protestors just might need to rethink their agenda and ask for protection. Until recently as the influx of northern people arrived; Cookeville was a decidedly "southern redneck, good ole boy" kind of town that had a very quiet lifestyle with few "racial" problems. Always had pretty strong ties to old south pride and values. A very friendly little town whose biggest claim to fame was TTU. The rebel battle flag was a fixture. Seen regularly. And no one protested it. People didn't go looking for trouble. And Black/White was not an issue...then.
  25. I strongly suspect there is far more to this story than has been we gave been told. One early report said the "father" had been seen outside just before the bus arrived, and was raving carrying a cell phone and a pistol in his hands.
