  1. So many great movies. So many great characters. So many great lines. Only one stinker among them all. Zardoz. 'nuff said. lol

Like you comments. A lot. Very much me.
  4. LOL! That had to hurt! But the truth often does. Roger Moore was a short, comedic foray into Bond. Amusing, but left me always looking for something better.
  5. "It's people! Soylent Green is People!!!" Long scream heard as we fade out.

Yeah. That's what had me surprised tonight. I expected strollers and walkers in full Decon suits and headgear. Nada.

We got 3. All neighbors within 500 yards max. Need some Twix bars? lol Neighborhood group sent out emails and flyers with instructions. Social Distance. No contact. Bag all candy and hand out with tongs. Oh yeah...wear gloves while using ziplock bags for candy. Are these people nuts? Yeah no answer needed. Ok, I buy sealed bags. Put on gloves to remove candy from Bag 1 and place in Bag 2. Seal Bag and place them in a sanitized bowl/dish/container...i kid you not...and place it out by the roadside for kids to pick up one (1) each. ROLL MY ASS OFF by this time. Kids open baggie. Open individually wrapped candies and eat. All good...right? Sure.
  8. Just saw this on a news blurb. Terrible loss for the lovers of Sir Sean Connery. I've been a huge fan since my first viewing of Dr. No. There has been no 007 for me and my wife since. She left before I saw it this morning, I guess I'm hoping that it will be heard on her radio. I really don't want to tell her this. she has idolized Sir Sean all her life. He was and is second only to John Wayne in her favorite actors. I have to say that The Man Who would Be King, and The Molly MaGuires would have to be my personal favorites of his working career. May you Rest in Peace, Sir Sean. You brought the world much happiness.
  9. Welcome T2020! Maybe you should have gone with MD2020 for your id. lol Sorry poor joke. But like your assortment of firearms. Especially the Springfield RO. I have it in 9mm and just love it. Also see your Taurus 586 and raise you with a 608. Sort of fond of those Taurus pistols too.
  10. Sizing would and will, be a problem for me. I had major ear surgery and eardrum reconstruction when I was 11 or so. Left ear canal is very much larger than normal. Regular foam plugs just barely stay in for me. I have a young friend who has a set and he's quite happy with them. Don't think it would be quite kosher to ask him to let me test fit them. lol
  11. I did too! Same thoughts.
  12. That's hilarious! Ole CH would get a kick out of this! Notice I'm not telling? I'm not giving it away for anyone. lol
  13. Took me a while...but I finally spotted the O2 bottle on the old geezer! LOL!
  14. Thanks, Cap. Very interesting reads. Cars really had some style back then.
  15. So what do you see as options? Destroy all AR/AK style pistols? Dismantle them and keep parts separated? Keep using them? Since the majority, I think anyway, are intended for HD, vehicle carry, or range use; where does this leave us? Sell off to any willing buyer? Not sure if I would sell off anything right now. And what of the parts I'm sure many have? Uppers and lowers I don't immediately see as a problem. Braces and short barrels as components could be an issue. I'm sure there are other items that will need to be scrutinized in the wake of this threat to us. At this point, I'm not sure I would make a purchase of one. Especially a new one with a 4473 behind it. And sell one off? That could be dicey. Fear could make big losses on selling. Or huge profits for those willing to buy and sit it out. I've thought about this all night and today. I don't really have anything really rational to offer besides this. Contact all the Representatives and Senators you can. Letters to the White House. Watch and wait.
  16. Well...if you like CZ weapons...you can't be too bad a guy! Welcome to TGO.
  17. Terry, I really can't tell you more than you've already been told here, but I can make a small comment. My late brother-in-law was a collector of knives. The more exotic the better...with one caviat. It absolutely HAD to be one of 2 things. Made by someone he knew and respected, and not be a commercially produced model with 1000s+ made of each one. I can tell you that he owned several Thomsen knives and they were among his favorites. Some years back, he bought and sold knives personally, and knew many of the "old guard" as he called them in the Knife Guilds. So his standards were very high. If he bought and kept something, it was special. So I can say that you have a beautiful piece of what he would have considered worth owning and would have coveted it himself. And for what little it's worth...I think it's gorgeous too.
  18. For that I'll pass. Anyway, does the Health Dept. charge for the testing? I really don't know, as I've avoided those long lines. lol
  19. Welcome back! I still have some of the canes you made. Gave most as gifts to family. Sadly, 3 of the them have passed on. Did you curse them? LOL Just a joke. They were much liked and appreciated when given.
  20. WOW! That is a fancy car! Now...what the heck is it?
  21. In my younger, stupider days, I once tried to separate 2 dogs fighting. A neighbor's dog jumped my Chow. Big Mixed breed that didn't seem to like anyone or anything. So it jumped on Cody one day as we were walking the yard. Sudden and vicious. Somehow, I got Cody away from the other dog, but in the process it latched onto my hand. I felt like a feather being blown in the wind. Couldn't really control any movement. I just kept swatting at the dog until his owner got into the mix and got me loose. Had it not been colder weather and me wearing some old insulate gloves, it could have been real bad. As it was, I had several puncture wounds and a lot of bruising. Since all this occurred on our property, and we had witnesses; the other guy paid my ER bills. He soon moved away. No loss there. In short, I DO NOT want to have to tangle with a dog again. Tim, I see your rationale, and salute your guts and determination in doing this. but I think I'll pass on it. BTW, very good video.
  22. Good plans, from what little I know. I have a few parts that I got from my late brother-in-law. Don't remember exactly what at the moment, but there's a huge barrel with what looks like a .50 cal brake on it. I think I've had in my mind a 45 AR since I first saw a 9. lol Maybe before I kick off.
  23. Thanks, I had hoped to come, and see some family as well while there; but just didn't get organized in to to make it happen. And I didn't even get to the RK show in Lebanon either. Wasted day! lol Actually doing cleanup and husbandly chores instead.
  24. Anyone go?
