While I do 99% of all our shopping needs, and anything else that comes up; like you buddy, I have tried to add items to the larder when I get a chance. My wife has always thought me a bit off, may be right in that; because I've always been one who buys more than necessary when shopping. My family was always the sort to have food canned or dried and stored. They went thru the Depression years and were influenced by it greatly. But back on point, I have a few cases of foods put back, and lots of canned meats, peanut butter(family staple...lol), and whatever else we use. Not near as much as I'd like, but trying.

My condolences and prayers, Links, for the loss of your family members and friends. I, and my family have been blessed not to have any such losses. Danger Rane makes some very good points in his comments. Those that are questioned by many of the population...such as the economics of the medical system and how it has been affected and tested by this Covid threat. Like Danger Rane, I have commented many times on my thoughts of the Corvid 19 and how much of this country, and the world , have been changed by it. I personally don't think the political responses have been necessary. If it had been entirely as a medical issue, and treated as such, I think we would all have been better off. Yes there have been, and are still dangers from this virus; but the danger from political reactions and using the whole thing for gains in power is the worst part. jmo

But...are all your commie friends trekkies? Hmm?
-
Buddy, you got in seconds before I posted, but I like the way you stated it more.

doug, that's what I've been questioning all along. But as DaveTN says, I guess we will never know the actual truth on all of this. Politicians on all sides have used thes numbers and questions to suit themselves. Just as Polls are slanted to make a point of view, so are these case numbers for Covid. I believe that all we will ever know is that there was/is a virus. It is contagious and passed by several means. It's nowhere as deadly across the population as some would have us believe. And we have all be taken for a deadly and devastating ride in the last 9 months.

As good as my pants-on-the-ankles 20mph speed chase! Maybe better!

Glock .45 mags, higher capacity?
hipower replied to Steelharp's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
On the topic of reliable aftermarket Glock mags...I've been really happy with the Ammend2 mags. Granted all I have are 9mm, but they cycle well, insert easily, and drop out like greased lightning. I bought 2 just to try out, and now have a dozen plus of them. -
I've never been in a high speed pursuit...unless you count the time I was rolling along at about 20 on a dark dirt road, trying to get my pants up while not running into the ditch. Didn't help that the young lady was a fast dresser either.

I totally agree! But I will add cell phones to that as well.

Welcome in. You got a great selection of guys to like you already here! You'll do fine.

How fast can you drag one out? lol

Looks like the hillside here in my back yard most mornings, and about every night They tend to sleep there some. And no Kharman...you can't come here to "see." I'm in a very crowded neighborhood. Not liked much anyway, but the sight of a long gun just might get me lynched around here!

Thanks for the info and the link. Just ordered 2. With aging eyes, these could be a great thing to have around. Now...about those acupuncture needs and extra fine tweezers...any recommendations on them? lol I saw many on ebay. Seems like the stainless steel and anti-static would be good at first thought.

Sure did a good job on it. Never owned one of them. Maybe I'll run across one some day when I have spending cash.

Actually I was planning on dropping by today. Always fun to do while the wife is in Publix.

Got a few old LPs around here somewhere. lol

Amen, brother!

Yvonne De Carlo. I think it's from her version of Calamity Jane. Not that I'm a freak for her...but she was a beautiful woman. Even in her days of Lily on The Munsters.

Well, in all candor, I did donate 25 to them a couple years ago, but just didn't feel there was much going on with them. So been chucking their mailers ever since. But good to know what's going on with them. Thanks for the additional information.
-
Thanks. Well, they are an industrious bunch anyway! Takes a lot of hard work to run that many scams simultaneously. lol

What " In the ear " noise reducing gizmos doya like..?
hipower replied to leroy's topic in General Chat
I've used several e-muffs for years, and I must say I like them. I have several pair of Peltor that I use for shooting and when I did yard work. They are big enough to fit over my dumbo ears without problems. I am looking at hearing aids, or will be soon. Got checked a couple weeks ago and sure enough moderate to advanced lose in both ears. Won't be long now. I'll hold out as long as I can...good excuse when I ignore my wife. lol
