  1. Classic sent me an e-mail informing me that they have some more M 39's for sale but not @ a nice price.. Both varieties though . ( Hope i don't merit a Warning for posting this. )
  2. The good old H&R single action 9 shot  revolvers were seen @ the gun show today for about 2 bills .. Not pretty guns but tough old tackle box shooters..Good Luck !

I've never  heard of nor do I know what an AR 57 is ... Enlighten me !
  4. Liberty Tree Collectors .com has some but they are only selling 60 rd. boxes .You might find some @ the RK show this weekend in Knoxville . I'll be glad to give you my $2 off card if you pm me.
  5. Very interesting..  Does anyone remember back in the early 90's when CCI made aluminum-cased ammo ? i wonder if they could make aluminum 22 caliber ? Wonder if after development costs it could be cheaper than brass/copper cased per unit ?Pushing the dream a bit further, how about a polymer composition projectile that has a reduced range of 3 or 4 hundred yards ?
  6. Just put an Inglis Hi-Pwer on layaway.. It's slotted for a stock. (1) Is it legal to attach a stock ? (2) Anyone know what a re-pro stock should cost ? I tried GB but no luck. The pistol has been buffed and blued so collector value is virtually null. Thanks !
  7. The best rust buster IMO is bronze wool from your local boat/marina supply and Kroil ( a TN product ) .Wear protective gloves and work outside .. You could probably use liquid wrench or the solvent of your choice. Hope things go smoothly for you . Bronze wool will not scratch the mild steels and such like steel wool ..
  8. Wonder if they are a C&R  or if some one in Knoxville will place an order for me to buy one ? Of course , Classic's price is @ the door, gotta pay TICS & tax in K'patch plus shipping .. Not that I'm complaining.
  9. Another voice in the the din .. What about a Taurus PT 22 ? You just tip up the barrel to load it and it works fine with standard velocity ammo..
  10. Saw at least one of each @ the RK show last week in K'ville but wasn't aware of prices , they occasionally are found @ auctions ...Good luck !
  11. Don't have/own/shot a Ruger 22/45 but do have a couple of type 1 & 2 Rugers (the type 2 has a 10 in. bull barrel and Burris scope) .. They both shoot well depending on the ammo, etc., but the Browning shoots better IMHO. Had to buy a "Big Ears" slide because it's hard to cock the pistol w/the stock slide ..Other than that peeve, the Buckmark shoots precisely where I point .Other shooters can verify the accuracy of the Browning.. If accuracy is paramount, consider a Hammerli or other European brand pistol... For my money, the B is adequate.
  12. In my humble opinion the best (and only) pistol for the sub-machine round is the exemplary CZ 52 pistol .. The Tokarev pistol is/ has been retro-fitted for compliance to US firearm regs vis-a-vis external safety ..The CZ 52 meets/exceeds all regs unless you break the firing pin by " dry firing"..Notwithstanding , the TT 30 looks like a pistol designed by a Committee ..
  13. Was @ Rocky Top Armory on Chapman Hwy this morn they had 4  round receiver model 91/30's (your choice)in a crate and a can of ammo for $280.. Wish I could find something better ..Maybe you'll get lucky. Best Wishes !
  14. What are looking for/at ? I've got an old Marlin Camp Carbine that I got in trade for a GP100 (ouch !)that shoots fine but ejects brass like an SKS on steroids even with a Wolff heavy duty recoil spring.. Got it about 1998 ,AIRC . Have heard about 45 uppers for Glock but haven't seen or shot any..
  15. I saw several @ Farnsworth's in Vonore (about 15 or 20 miles south of Maryville ) for  $189 round rec'r your choice of what's there , alas, no bargains that I can find. Hunting season's over maybe you can find one @ a GS .Good Luck !
  16. Yea ,verily remember them old pasteboard boxes Remington red with HI SPEED KLEANBORE in white letters  on a green stripe end flap .. Had the old 1 cent  TN ammo tax stamp as I recall.. The good young days.. Nostalgia, the oldest drug..  Sigh, Thanks for the nudge !
  17. What length blade is permissible in a folding knife & are there restrictions on torsion/spring assisted knives in TN ? What(if any) regs are there on sheath knives ? Thanks !
  18. The idea of renting the table or two with a friend sounds good. That way, if you need to let out the coffee or attend other needs you'll have a pal or gal to keep a eye on your wares.. Stuff grows legs @ shows & remorse won"t bring it back. Also, low- ball bids near the close of the day need to be heeded. Being a Vendor has some advantages as you may find an item on display before the show opens that you can purchase @ a Vendor's price ! People often grumble about show prices but when one factors lodging ,equipment, inventory that doesn't sell, the margins aren't all that great. Sure , I feel a little bummed about prices but the folks who are on the road nearly every week end are in a sense , providing products and/or services they want you to purchase but you have the Supreme Right of Refusal.. (I'm getting prolix here & need to stop) Best Wishes & Good Luck!
  19. The Bag-a-Bargain Sale started @ 8 ayem & the line was out the door and most of the bargains were purchased before noon . I was there & got a few items for cheap !
  20. According to the Knoxville morning paper the Junior League of Knoxville will be holding it's annual Bag a Bargain Sale @ the Jacobs Building on Saturday morn .. Admission $5 ...Are 2 events planned for the same place ? Curious ...
  21. Yea , Verily I prefer the descriptive term defensive firearm.. Suits my purpose just fine .Thanks!
  22. Where is the other show ? I enjoy looking for the odd caliber ammo like S&W 32 Long or 30 Lugar that are not popular but do show up every now & then . The older vendors with the niche guns and accessories can usually have time to be social especially if you buy something from them..
  23. The mags I got are for the Chinese & I don't know what else they fit... I've also got several steel mags (made in China) but don't know where any more can be found @ reasonable $.
  24. What type or style of .223 rifle or carbine requires a Bakelite mags? I've got a Chinese AK in  5.56 x 45mm that I got some mags made by Pro Mag last year that cost less than $20 from Midway .. POL-1 model is the product #...Hope this helps !
  25. Just say it it isn't so, I went to a local pawn shop and got 3 boxes of Blazer for $25 out the door..158 gr HP .. You can have it @ my cost if you want.. Will be at Smokey Mtn. Gun Collectors Show this weekend @ the Kerbela Temple , Knoxville.PM me & will make arrangement to meet .Cordially , Bucnball
