  1. Hey, if that's part of her normal "routine", then she has a legit concern. Just saying......
  2. If they are going to go this route, they should take down all the Martin Luther King markers as well. Works both ways.
  3.    You hit the nail right on the head. I've said all along, when Karl Dean tried to put the Fairgrounds ot of business so he could sell it off to his developer buddies, the new Mama bitch ( Barry ), is doing the same with a different tactic. Parking fee didn't work, so just stop the shows.  I agree with another poster, best thing would be for a private venue & tell Metro to shove it up their a--. Goodmans' show is not one of favorite places to go, seldom do, but the principle is the issue here. May go this weekend somtime, just because I still can. Sucks!!
  4. Think I'll pass, my ass already has one hole in it, so far that has been enough.
  5.  Not a bad deal I guess. Used them for a while on duty. Never had an occasion to put them to use, thankfully. We switched to somehting else, for whatever reason.  I'm well stocked on factory ammo, thanks for the tip.
  6.  U.S. Army  1966 - 1968 Medically Retired '68    Ft.Campbell, basic     Ft. Jackson, AIT Infantry    Vietnam 25th Inf. Div.    Ft. Gordon, hospital, patient
  7. I agree with all the previous posts, being a combat wounded 'Nam vet  myself. But it would be nice if the vets could have the day off from work, with pay, rather than the folks who work for some gov. agency, banks, and the few others that close on Vets Day.
  8. I got the same packet, guess all did. I'll likely re-up for the 3 yr. deal, about all my budget will stand right now.
  9.    Dead on. I posted a long time ago, if you want to see what free government health care is like, visit the VA hospital. You had to know this was a temporary come on price, just like satelite, cable, phone, etc. Initially cheap, until the real price kicks in. As you said, welcome to reality.
  10.  MidSouth is located In Clarksville, and sales tax is added on. Off the shelf will be the same tho. Always figure the bottom line, regardless. That's where the money lies.
  11.    I've always had great service & prices at Powder Valley, as well. They are sometimes behind in orders, but they tell you up front what they're shipping & when. You can decide from there.
  12. I had never had an issue with Midways prices or delivery, but their shipping charges were/are over the top, they are a last resort if I have to go internet to buy. To be fair, they are not alone in making a living off shipping charges.  MidSouth usually has them all beat. JMHO
  13. I've used it in 9 & 40. 5.5 grs. in 9 w/ Horn. XTP 124 grs. 7.8 grs. in 40 w/ Horn. XTP 155 grs.   Works fine for me. No chrono info available tho.
  14. I've owned 3 of them. One .357 & 2  .44s' ( first one was stolen ). They don't take a back seat to any. IMHO. If I was going the revolver route, that's what I'd do.
  15. That's the only way.
  16.    Yep, just like Dean wanted to do. He never pulled it off, Barry?, who knows.
  17. Tin foil or not, the Gov. is well known for not destroying records that were supposed to be so. I trust these fine folks about as far as I can throw my F-150.
  18. I went to a show in Hendersonville some time back. Had my gun in my R. front pocket. Honestly forgot about it til inside. Had to walk about 1/4 mi in lot. Wasn't about to make that trip again. No harm, no foul.......
  19.    Agreed, they shouldn't have to, but we all know how far left Nashville is. No surprise they pounce upon a perceived opportunity. Not only the gun issue, but also they have been wanting to bulldoze the fairgrounds for their developer froends for quite some time. 2 birds with one rock, with some luck. Very thankful I don't live in Davidson Co.
  20. On a side note, I had planned on going to get some rifle powder, + just curious as to how the RK show would be. Stopped @ Reloaders Bench in Mt. Juliet & found what I needed. Saved my self the parking fee + admission. Not a bad day.
  21. John & Joe want to make a deal. They take their gun(s) out to their vehicle, sit there & close the deal. Who's to know?
  22.    The TWRA has for years denied any cougars ( whatever name you choose ), in TN, for some reason. Not like they were covering a UFO landing. It's been know for years that they are migrating East.
  23. Dawn, like any detergent is mainly to keep dirt in suspension. If it doesn't work for you, then don't use it. Works for me. To each, his own.
  24. I use 1/4 teaspoon in mine. I have the Thumlers Mod. B 15 lb. drum. Also, 2 tbls. Dawn dishwashing detergent. Varies with size of drum in your unit. Better to error on the size of less.
