I thought it was weakest episode to date myself.

Long 90 minutes, not really enough story to fill it.

- OS

I think it would have been much stronger as an hour long episode with 30 minutes of wandering in the woods removed.

Why put the specific name and denomination on the church sign if you aren't going to pay attention to other details. I just assumed they had rented out a church for filming but the crucifix looked really out of place in a Baptist church.

What bother's me more is why they drive around in a ratty old Winnebago when there are so many abandoned vehicles to choose from. And what happened to the truck they had in ATL with supplies?

As far as the church thing is concerned, I have my own theory about that...

all in all the show was good. a little slow, but good.

the "spoiler" isnt really that.....pretty much called it (if it in fact is true...havent researched)

the two "black sheep" in the fold...going to add drama/complexity which should be good.

then there was the ending...DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN??!! {{my exact words to my wife}}

looking forward to a great second season.

I keep yelling at the screen to "pick up those guns". They leave great guns and boxes of ammo everywhere and then complain about not having enough. Also, they left several Humvee's there at the CDC and got back in to the old unreliable RV. Aarrgg!

Honestly I'm to the point where if I am going to enjoy this series I'm going to have to start rooting for the Walkers. The survivors suck and I want all of them to die for their lack of noise discipline, lack of survival skills, lack of common sense and general stupidity concerning things like weapon / ammo retention, picking GOOD vehicles, etc.

I don't think I've yelled at the screen this much since Obama's last State of The Union address.

In Z-lanta deputy Fife didn't even try to start the tank.

Plus there was a M60 on the tank loaded with a belt of ammo. I'd have liked to see that rip through 100+ zombie heads.

I have read the first 5 graphic novels so some of this I know is coming. I will say they have switched up the story line so it does not fill like the same story for the most part. I knew carl was going to get shot when I saw him walking towards the deer, it's in the books but carl also shoots shane early on in the books to but I am glad they have not followed that part of it it seems to add to the story more. I guess we will see how much more they stick to the books with the upcoming farm story in the next few episodes.

I decided last night that a suppressed 22 with a drum or belt fed would be the ideal zombie gun. I was also yelling when they wouldn't let everyone carry a gun. Grr.

Me too. While I like the show, I keep finding myself wondering why they cant be more relaistic about this or that...then I remember it a ZOMBIE show, LMAO!

Meh, I just keep in mind that these folks are, for the most part, city dwellers who have likely lived their lives as 'sheeple'. Without a Starbucks where they can get a mega-grande-mocha-double-latte or something they are completely lost. Rick is a pretty good leader and Shane will do what he has to do but I feel like, if not for the 'redneck' Daryl, they'd all be dead by now. To be truthful, it would seem less believable to me if they did make good choices more often.

Honestly, the biggest thing that bothered me was Daryl's choice of a big chopper to ride through the zombie apocalypse. The dumb decisions the others make are pretty much in keeping with their characters but Daryl is all about stealth (the crossbow, the knife) and yet he chooses the loudest vehicle he can find - one that provides no shelter or protection - and then rides point?

Me, too. I think they purposefully wanted to show Jesus on the cross as a bit of irony. These folks are trying to stay away from people who died then returned to 'life' and now they are in a church and some of them are praying to/looking for comfort from a figure who died and returned to life.

The chopper is fast, evasive, and gets great gas mileage. These zombies aren't exactly the hopped up rage kind. The bike can keep moving and weave in and out of the interstate pile ups vs having to stop, get out and push vehicles out of the way. You're in the most danger when stopped for refueling, or sticking your arms in vehicles to put them in neutral. Never know where that surprise chomp is going to come from.

While not my first choice the bike is still better than that busted up RV...
