  2. Thank you! This was a huge help.
  3. I'll try to see if I can PM yet, I appreciate that! Where would you suggest looking for original wood grips?
  4. S&W charges $100 for the "letter" it will tell you what year it was made, and should give a history of were it was shipped to. If you want to have them do the search for you, I believe I have a copy of the paperwork you'll need to fill out, just PM if you can and I can send it to you in email form to print out. You also need to see if you can find a set of orginal wood grips for it.
  5. How about $375 shipped? Cleaning out the basement and would like to see this move on to a home that will use it
  6. I don’t know, but the guy had to pay $25k/month in child support for two kids he’s never seen.

None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction. They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns. DON'T DO IT. Ruger RXM 9MM

Still have a big craving for an RXM. Anyone have one here on the forum? Have not fondled one yet but sure looks interesting for a Fantastic Plastic pistol. They were shooting one on Guns and Gear this morning. Stroked my interest. Don't have the extra money right now but am hopeful "maybe" soon.
  11. Colt has it too....... but it sure ain't free.
  12. Smith and Wesson has a service where they can " authenticate " the date of manufacture, the exact model number, and ( I think ) the original consignee. of any specific gun --- all for a fee. leroy.
  13. A few years ago we tried growing tomatoes from small starter plants from a local flower and garden store. The clerk there was an old friend and recommended Rutgers tomatoes. WOW - these taste great. Our bushes grew to huge size and were loaded with produce, so much we either giving it away or saving it in the freezer. This year we added "Cherry Tomato" plants on the patio. These plants have already grown larger then we would have expected and are so full of blooms they look more like flower arrangements. As a closing note - once your plants start giving produce you have to reduce the amount of water you feed them or the produce will have a "watered out" flavor. Don't over-do it with water, and enjoy.
  14. The number should be stamped on the back of the cylinder. You'll have to push the ejector rod to see it.
  15. Jack.... I'm absolutely convinced that there has to be some advertising copy somewhere in the old outdoor magazines that lists this great old revolver as a " Coon Hunter's Special ". I grew up in East Tennessee, a coon hunting hotbed, by the way; and all the old polished coon hunters ( and they were plenty ) either owned or pined for a Smith K-22. I'm north of 78 years young, and all the old timers ( and lots of the new generation) absolutely loved these revolvers. They are easy ta carry and deadly accurate. Your specimen is a great one from antiquity. leroy.
  16. Interested. Where are you located roughly?
  17. Looking at your photos gave me an instant flash-back to 1969. A neighbor who lived close to me had the same make / model of Colt for sale. He used it as his undercover and off duty sidearm for a local police department. Sadly the firearm had considerable blue wear and looked rather sad. His asking price was cheap enough ($150) but the appearance made me walk away from it. Isn't it sad how these things happen. Hope you sell yours.
  18. Possible trades 1. Holosun 407k or 507k 2. FFP MIL Scope: Arken SH4j or EP5 Athlon Midas Tac 5-25x56 3. LVPO PA SLX 1-6 Nova SFP
  19. I'll take #2, the small skinner blade with leather sheath. PM inbound.
