  4. Ding...! Ding...! Ding..! We have a winner..!!! It was always about what Chuck said here --- " price out ( of ordinary citizen reach ) constitutionally protected activity "... The NFA was always patently unconstitutional, but it has lasted a long time. Here's hopin it is overturned for ever. leroy ...

  6. I’m concerned enough to ask questions about it, but not worried about carrying my favorite gun. I EDC an Sig P-365XL Spectre (orinial Specttre, non comp) that I converted to a Macro. I fire it very well. Earlier this year I qualified with it at the range for my church security team, and even though I had t shot in ages, still managed a score of 98 out of 100, but I think the instructor counted two holes as one, and my score should have been 99, LOL. We were shooting the last group at the head of the target, and The one round I dropped, hit the silhouette target dead center of the throat. Anyway, I still carry it with confidence but just wondered.
  7. Welcome to the forum and to TN! This excessively humid weather we’ve been having lately must really be a shock to your system. I would check out whatever state parks are in your area. Further east, there is Cummins Falls, Burgess Falls, and Fall Creek Falls. Up toward Clarksville, there is Dunbar Cave. Old Hickory Lake and Percy Priest Lake are other options. I’m sure others will chime in.
  8. I don't think that Chrissy Boy is thinking this one through too well. If he is harping on "It was never adjusted for inflation!!!!!!" and then you do and people see how exorbitant it would be NOW, then you strengthen the argument that it was never about generating revenue and was instead meant to price out constitutionally protected activity, just like poll taxes were.... That is NOT going to do well in the courts.....
  9. New Senate Bill today.....NFA tax to $4709 if passed. Not likely to pass this session but it does show their plans.
  10. 71 is too early for a normal person, but he put his body through a lot, and given his contemporaries, he had a lot more time than the odds may have predicted. It's going to be a complicated legacy for him personally, and in some ways professionally. But it's undeniable he was a cultural icon of Americana, and helped build up an industry from a regional sideshow into a national entertainment juggernaut. You simply cannot tell the history of professional wrestling without a lot of discussion regarding Hulk Hogan the superstar.

  18. Totally understand your concern. I have owned two P365s and carried both. Neither has gone off in my holster. Have not seen any reports of the P365 doing so. That being said, am sure that now people will start complaining that the P365 isn't safe either. Fear and a lack of true knowledge often forms public opinion. If the name SIG bothers you and keeps you from carrying or P365 then move on. It is more important that you have something you trust and DO carry. Personally, I would still put the P365 at the top of my micro 9 list for carry, just not into 9mm anymore. Might add that back in the 70's and 80's people were afraid to carry a Colt 1911 in a holster cocked and locked. Many were people who carried double action revolvers for duty. In time, that fear dissipated with familiarity.
  19. Hopefully this will bring down the price of the P320 XTEN comp. Would love to own one of those!
  20. Well, you certainly pass the physical. Welcome to TGO!
