I don't get it. Why is it so hard? DO NOT make major lifestyle changes. Don't hobknob with rich folk. Pay off debts and set money aside for things like property taxes. I told my wife it'd be very easy to handle. If you only win a million, well that's not as much money as it sounds. Pay off everything, then sell off the house, buy an affordable secluded parcel and stay there. What really confuses me is people who are dead or destitute after winning 100 million. Call it 66 million after taxes. SO for a married couple, you split that 3 ways. HIs, Hers and theirs. That's 22 million each to blow, and 22 million to support them for life. How is this a bad plan? People are idiots and a fool and his money are soon parted.2 points

Don't guess you can get a new one without doing it. Reckon you can put on one from another rifle and hope headspace is okay. Seems I read something somewhere about a guy tried one that he couldn't physically close breech. "greybeard" forums seem to be the fount of all handi knowledge http://www.go2gbo.com/forums/index.php?board=126.0 - OS1 point

It was for this very reason that 6 friends and I contact a gentleman that does Monadnock certification for a local Security company and contracted him to host a class for us. The cost was about $75.00 each in 2006. I like having the legal option. I agree carrying even a quality collapsible baton can be a bit of PIA at first, but, of course, you get used to it. I also have OC certs and have "ridden" the taser. It's all about options along the use of force continuum. I do wish there was a way to legally carry a sap, not necessarily a blackjack, but a flat sap. I believe Georgia and Florida allow them. In an FUT (Messed Up Tangle) they are an excellent choice. Just my unsolicited and ever devaluing $.02 worth.1 point

Looks like one of Sons of Guns or American Guns latest projects to me.1 point

According to the article, it looks like a case of "she fled / he fled.." . Seriously though he should not be hard to find... I'd suspect there are not too many folks running around with 5 feet and are only 10 inches tall...1 point

Yes, modern organized crime, which is in a large part gangs though some of the old school remains as well (at times, a tier up from the street gangs but on the same team). Um, think of it like a stock portfolio of crime. Yes, they already "invest" in other things, but if suddenly the drug "stock" crashes, they move those resources to other "market areas". The guys that were selling dope move to selling illegal guns or Identity theft or any of 1000 other things. Sure, someone already is selling those things, but there is room for more players in any of the other illegal goods and services markets of the world. The one thing you can be assured of is they will not just hang it all up and get a day job because dope went legal. Kinda like the legalization of booze; organized crime did not dry up and go away after that, did it?1 point

It is a tax on those who suck at math. Having said that, I spend $2 a week on it, just so I can gripe about not winning.1 point

WHat was that commercial a few years ago?? Had a catchy tune..."Aint no lower class, then TN trash" Only problem with the commercial is, There's so many people that fit this category that don't even litter!!!1 point

He is not an idiot, actually quite genius. What better way to get rid of your trash than to scatter it on a roadway for others to pick up. I mean he doesn't ahve to pay for disposal and he doesn't need to make a trip to the local trash center. With that being said I would love to kick this guy in the nuts. And not just a light kicking but a full fledged, going top pull a hamstring, kick to the gonads. Not as dramatic as a type Darwin award recipient but should still serve the same purpose. There actually is a Tennessee website where you can report things like this. And if you provide a license plate number the state will get in contact with them. They will not receive a violation but they will receive a "I am watching you litter" letter. Dolomite1 point

An overdose was too nice a way to go to call this kharma. The only appropriate way for this low life POS to expire would have been being gang-raped to death by a herd of rhinos.1 point

Don't hide under the chair. There's nothing wrong with wanting a gun that works right out of the box. Not a thing wrong with wanting capacity and reliability instead of an antiquated boat anchor.1 point

I couldn't disagree with you more. If you knew the time and place you were going to have to use deadly force, odds are, you wouldn't be there. Columbine, VA Tech, Aurora, Sikh Temple...none of those victims thought that day was going to be "their day." *Yes, I know some of those places were probably legally "off limits," I'm just using the incidents to illustrate a mentality. Anyway, no disrespect intended...we just disagree on this.1 point

I'm sure somebody will flame me for this but...... Lasers = mall ninja crap. People should spend that money on ammo and just learn how to shoot.1 point

Not a commercial. That's from the NRA Convention. With his rhino gun grabbing past, what makes you think he will name someone(s) better than O? The bold emphasis is from capitalism 101. Nothing wrong with that. The last is the problem fir me. Us blue and white collar types are nothing more than dog #### on his shoes to him. those that say: "he is a good business man and can get us out of debt/fix the economy" need to read how he left Mass. he left Massachusetts ranking the third worst state for job growth. He left with a 4.7 unemployment rate, but the US Census says that a quarter-million folks left the state during his governorship, largely due to his 14 percent loss in manufacturing (double nat avg). Kinda hard to have a high unemployment rate when everyone leaves! **He "balanced the budget" but left the sate with the highest debt in the country. He "turned the Pork Barrel Olympics around". Maybe if elected POTUS. he can make a bunch of cuts and lobby for some federal funding like he did back then **Ironically nuff, the excuse he gives for his "pro-gun" 400% increase for gun licenses was to pay off the state's debt. Maybe he'll bill us gun owners for the 16 tril by implementing other pro-gun bills once potus. One can only hope!1 point

Stupid. Why would he get all bent out of shape over one dummy removing himself from the genepool? We got whores and filth all over TV. Whole TV series dedicated to serial killers, psycho's perverts and killers. The media sells filth wholesale and NOW they grow a conscience? What load of . The guy did the world a favor and the video wasn't good enough to see anything gory. You'll see [WHAT SHOULD BE, but it's not] more disturbing images on the next episode of Dexter.1 point

The H&R 949 22 has a less than desirable DA pull being on the heavy and gritty side but the SA trigger pull is really nice. It’s a Plain Jane 9 shot revolver whose examples I’ve shot were reliable enough to depend on when used. They’ve been out of production for quite some time now so replacement or repair parts might become troublesome but for the most part are available. If the one you’re looking at has most of its finish left, is intact and functional than I’d say $100.00 is a fair price. http://voices.yahoo.com/gun-review-harrington-richardson-949-22-revolver-4553039.html The 949 22 really isn't in the same class as a S&W, Ruger or Colt revolver, it's not bad but priced at what it was worth, people bought the heck out of them because they were affordable.1 point
