Fisherman Killed on Percy Priest lake boat ramp!!!
10-Ring replied to bersaguy's topic in Hunting and Fishing
It's kind of nice being the scariest thing around on the upper end of Old Hickory. -
Every day of my life!

Agreed. Dualsports, they are like 4 wheelers, for men.

About 5 years ago I bought 2 Mosins and a spam can for $270. I guess this is what happens when everybody and their cat own a particular gun.

Clinton suggests she'd consider mandatory gun buy-backs

It's against the TGO TOS to discuss doing things that are against the law so I'm not divulging anything, though it would be safe to say that the day that they come to take ole 10-rings guns you will never see him make another post here. -
So I am thinking about starting a TGO Hall of Shame

Yes! I want to know for the simple fact that it is dishonest behavior and I don't want to do business with someone that would do you and the forum that way. -
It has been within the past five years or so.

Temperature wise I'd say it's right on the edge of spoilage, it's going to depend a lot on whether the carcass is in the sun or shade. Not sure how I would feel about eating something buzzards have been eating on though.

Bass - Cheatham west of Commodore Yacht Club
10-Ring replied to Peace's topic in Hunting and Fishing
Haven't had time for a proper post in a few days. Thursday I went out using the black buzzbait with chartreuse trailer. Caught two nice bass in the 2-3 pound range and several smaller bass. All of them but one came from the river channel or the mouth of creeks, shady holes on sunny banks were producing well. Yesterday nothing was biting, I tried the buzzbait, I tried crank baits, I tried jigs, I fished bluffs, heavy cover, around docks, not a single bite. MAy head out in a bit and try again but I think the main focus of today will be deer scouting a couple of spots. -
Call the TWRA, I have heard of them retrieving deer in these situations. I know of one such instance personally. It's worth a shot so that the deer isn't wasted.

SKS solely because it may be used to take deer. The merits of each could be argued for HD, and personally I'd lean towards the 9mm for HD for several reasons. It's shorter and easier to handle in close quarters, it has a light recoil, it's not as loud, and it's a light yet adequate round. I'm sure someone will come along and talk about what a great deer round 9mm is, deer have been killed with less for sure, that doesn't mean that it is a good idea to do it.

Just checked the weather, although it looks like we will have great weather to be fishing I'm wondering how this cold front will affect the fish. Anyone have advice for catching bass during a cold front? -
Shocked at what I saw at DL station

Said something to her about her empty holster? Sounds like the woman was completely decked out in her mall ninja uniform. Ridiculous? Yes, but still not illegal. To my knowledge DMV employees are not peace officers. -
Sure, then they would define any state having more than 25 residents as "non rural."

Tried the black buzz bait with chartreuse trailer, had a really good afternoon, I'll be out there again tomorrow evening. Thanks for the tip Bersa! -
Maybe they did it to attract a bunch of Yankees to move down here and tell us how to do things.

Someone needs to loose their job over this. P.S. It's ugly. It looks like a 2nd grader did it in 10 minutes in Microsoft Paint.

You can find it at Walmart or most anywhere that sells grilling supplies. Of course it grows all over Tennessee, run some limbs through a wood chipper and you are good to go. By the way, you want to soak it in water before putting it on the charcoal.

Heck, I'm all for keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. I'm just not willing to give up my rights to accomplish that, plus that wouldn't accomplish that task anyway, IMO it's just an excuse to disarm America, Bernie isn't stupid he knows this. I noticed last night on the debate it was said several times that it wasn't their goal to infringe on the hunting traditions of America. These clowns need to realize that our gun rights have absolutely NOTHING to do with hunting.

He laid waste to that diet beverage at 1:07!

Most places use hickory.

Odd ball round that died off before it ever took off. I'd stay away.

Any hunter worth their salt will spend some time on stand prior to the season our at least know what the deer are doing where they hunt. Trail cams are good for this, one place I hunt I have the luxury of driving by the field and seeing when the deer are feeding. Nothing beats just spending time out in the woods though, which is a big part of hunting for me, I've had a hard time getting out there this year as I've been preoccupied with fishing every money that I can.

You're in a theater and then this happens. What would you do?

Then again maybe he was just the polite patron that actually went outside of the theater to make a phone call.
