  1. Good way to sell, not a good way to buy.
  2. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/91748-wheres-the-outrage-lack-of-coverage/
  3. Does the fact that the seller didn't want payment until I was satisfied with the boat come into play here?
  4. Specifically a Mercury 115, 2005 model.  I just bought a new to me boat and it sports this engine.  I can tell you all about 2 smokes but 4 strokes are foreign territory to me.   I've spent a few minutes trying to find maintenance schedules and whatnot and the online but the only thing that I can find are links to buy the manual.  While I will buy the manual if all else fails I would like to find a free PDF download if possible.  Right off the bat I know I need to replace the water pump impeller and change the oil as I know the PO personally and though they had the oil changed seasonally I doubt they ever had the impeller changed.  I did find a how to article on changing the oil and was wondering if anyone knew if the motor needs to be completely upright to do an oil change.  The boat is in the water and I'd just rather not take it out to change the oil.     Other than that I took it 30 miles upriver on Saturday and it ran great.
  5. I say that this is an effort by the sissy vegetarian tree hugging leftist to first declare that meat is bad and then do what sissy vegetarian tree hugging leftist do, ban it to protect us from ourselves.  Never trust anyone who doesn't eat bacon, never!
  6. Martin's is probably my local favorite.  We also like Jonathan's.  Courtney's is pretty good if you care to venture out of Providence and is about the only option for a good meat and 3 style meal.  On the chain side of things I've taken a liking to Blue Coast Burrito here lately.  For Mexican we eat at the Margarita House.  If you want a good meal of steak or spaghetti and don't mind driving 20 minutes Demo's in Lebanon is hard to beat.
  7.  Yes, you can go wrong if you have enough fortitude not to sell out for a burger as The Pharmacy is posted.
  8. I've been battling whether or not to switch to Blackhorn for a while.  Obviously cost is the main consideration, other than your issue with the primers how did you like it?
  9. Man that would double the number of deer that I would be bringing home on the 7th!
  10. Don't feel stupid.  I've seen you do a number of generous things for people over the years.  Perhaps nothing is more noble than serving others, yet if you do it long enough you are going to get taken advantage of.  Chock it up as part of helping others and remember that your generosity may have resulted in a decent meal or a fun toy for a child that most likely leads a pretty bleak life.
  11. It's kind of nice being the scariest thing around on the upper end of Old Hickory.
  12.   Every day of my life!
  13. Agreed.  Dualsports, they are like 4 wheelers, for men.
  14. About 5 years ago I bought 2 Mosins and a spam can for $270.  I guess this is what happens when everybody and their cat own a particular gun.
  15. It's against the TGO TOS to discuss doing things that are against the law so I'm not divulging anything, though it would be safe to say that the day that they come to take ole 10-rings guns you will never see him make another post here.
  16. Yes!  I want to know for the simple fact that it is dishonest behavior and I don't want to do business with someone that would do you and the forum that way.
  17. It has been within the past five years or so.
  18. Temperature wise I'd say it's right on the edge of spoilage, it's going to depend a lot on whether the carcass is in the sun or shade.  Not sure how I would feel about eating something buzzards have been eating on though.
  19. Haven't had time for a proper post in a few days.  Thursday I went out using the black buzzbait with chartreuse trailer.  Caught two nice bass in the 2-3 pound range and several smaller bass.  All of them but one came from the river channel or the mouth of creeks, shady holes on sunny banks were producing well.  Yesterday nothing was biting, I tried the buzzbait, I tried crank baits, I tried jigs, I fished bluffs, heavy cover, around docks, not a single bite.  MAy head out in a bit and try again but I think the main focus of today will be deer scouting a couple of spots.
  20. Call the TWRA, I have heard of them retrieving deer in these situations.  I know of one such instance personally.  It's worth a shot so that the deer isn't wasted.
  21. SKS solely because it may be used to take deer.  The merits of each could be argued for HD, and personally I'd lean towards the 9mm for HD for several reasons.  It's shorter and easier to handle in close quarters, it has a light recoil, it's not as loud, and it's a light yet adequate round.  I'm sure someone will come along and talk about what a great deer round 9mm is, deer have been killed with less for sure, that doesn't mean that it is a good idea to do it.
  22. Just checked the weather, although it looks like we will have great weather to be fishing I'm wondering how this cold front will affect the fish.  Anyone have advice for catching bass during a cold front?
  23. Said something to her about her empty holster?  Sounds like the woman was completely decked out in her mall ninja uniform.  Ridiculous?  Yes, but still not illegal.  To my knowledge  DMV employees are not peace officers.
  24. Sure, then they would define any state having more than 25 residents as "non rural."
  25. Tried the black buzz bait with chartreuse trailer, had a really good afternoon, I'll be out there again tomorrow evening.  Thanks for the tip Bersa!
