  1. Hmmm....... no posts on this season in awhile. I liked Daryl toward the end of the last show. Stop playing with the bad guys I say. ;-)
  2. Got mine last year at Academy for the $99 special. I really like it and will maybe buy the short barrel model this year if they have the $99 deal again.
  3. Most likely 0-5 after Kentucky. They look pretty good this year.
  4. I worked for UPS for 5 1/2 years unloading trucks for 3 of those years and two years sorting packages to any one of the nine different conveyor belts to the outbound sections with multiple trucks. So I feel I am somewhat qualified to comment on some of this. 1. The packaging is key. We told people if you aren't willing to sit on the package that you are sending then it is not safe to ship. Why you ask? Your package can be at the bottom of a nine foot tall pile of boxes of verifying weight bouncing down the interstate. Look at the trailers as the go buy. They are packed floor to ceiling, front to back. 2. The ammo example shown may have been a box that was damaged in transit or on the conveyor belt system. Sometimes boxes can get jammed together on the belts and they get torn open. When this happened you would have to place all of the items in a replacement box. The smaller boxes that were damaged make me think that that is what happened here. Once the main box is damaged, the smaller boxes came out and became damaged also. 3. Bucket in a box? The shipper is probably saving money by putting the bucket in a square box. Buckets had to have special handling since the could not ride the conveyor system thus costing more. We had to take them off the truck and put them on a luggage train and drive them to the outbound sections. This is why you pay more form irregular packages or oversize items. Tires, exposed metal such as mufflers, long tubes that can't make the bends on the conveyor system are examples. 4. Jackasses. Sometimes there are just crappy employees that don't take care of the packages that they are paid to handle.
  5. I think Advance Auto Parts has a loan a tool program. Did you ask them about it?
  6. I am a land surveyor (19+ years) and just put up 1200 feet of smooth wire fence last fall down my line that I share with a subdivision. I put the fence 4" off the line. I had a guy cutting 20' into my woods to give himself more room on his McMansion mini lot. Plus The neighbors will pile wood, trash, junk whatever they want up to your fence. Do not give them the extra room. As for adverse possession it has to be "open and hostile" per the law. Basically they have to be "taking possession" of your land buy fencing it off or denying you access to it. Mowing lines do not count. Many people try to make that claim and it just doesn't hold water in court. Also, on old farm tracts where the legal description is vague and there are no boundary markers, fences are sometimes held as the property line since they are the only markings of possession. Again put your fence on the known, surveyed line. Have your surveyor stake out the line and set your fence posts just inside the stakes. I would also not recommend driving extra pins along the line. This could lead to confusion down the road as to where you line truly is. Maybe not for you but down the road other people may assume that a pin up the line represents you back line. T bar fence posts are a better marker because the are clearly visible and don't lead to any confusion. Remember, one day your kids may have to deal with the property once you are gone and you want it clearly surveyed, marked and protected.
  7. We will go next weekend. We really liked the first one. My father in law said he didn't like Cruise as the lead since Reacher in supposed to be big and tall in the books. I think Cruise is a nut but he did a good job in the role last time.
  8. Campaign promise tank overflowed.
  9. When we flew to Spain for a European cruise I got up every couple hours and walked up and down the isle a couple times. Keeps the legs from swelling and getting sore. Lots of people did it so I didn't feel too weird about it.
  10. I have started listening to this also it is pretty good background listening when I am at work. I was skimming these posts to see if anyone has mentioned serial since it is along the same lines from what I understand. I didn't want to read the previous posts yet since I haven't watched making a murderer yet and didn't want any spoilers or preconceived outcomes. We plan on starting the this weekend because everyone at work keeps saying how good it is.
  11. Let me start by saying these people are idiots for violating the posted signs. As for the cost of the bikes, and I am not being argumentative here, just saying I understand the cyclists view of bike value. There are many bikes out there that I could easily drop that kind of money on. I won't because I'm too cheap but I would if I had the money. Carbon fiber frames, carbon fiber rims, full suspension parts and other components made of high quality alloys cost money. It's no different than some of the gun choices out there and what is important to you. Take the AR market. They can be bought / built for anywhere from $400 to the multi thousand dollar range. Once you start to add accessories the price goes even higher. This could also be said for fishing boats. I don't think the fish care if you are in a $600 Jonboat or a $25000 glittery bass boat. It comes down to what you enjoy and ultimately want to spend your money on. But then again I love to ride so I am a little biased. It's so much better than being stuck in a gym and the East Tennessee back roads are beautiful. Especially in the spring and fall. Plus, think of the money people spend on gym memberships. You can buy a pretty badass bike for the cost of a few years of paying for a gym.
  12. I don't think it is the altar of Clinton as much as the altar of free stuff.
  13. Finish my pilots license. Ride the 3 state 3 mountain challenge. Wishful thinking but something to shoot for.
  14. Bought a S&W M&P 15-22 a week before Christmas for myself. Bud's had it on sale for $369. It was the model that is usually $499 so I couldn't pass it up.
  15. My wife encourages it because I don't normally buy many things for myself. So I bought a S&W M&P 15-22 from Bud's this weekend for myself for Christmas. It was the one with the fixed sights and suppressor on sale for $369 so I couldn't pass it up. The best I had seen to this point was $449 on sale.
  16. I showed this to a lady that I work with that has a Corgi and she might be interested. She is also going to let her daughter know about him. She (her daughter) is going through the veterinary program at UT and can also let other people know about him since they know of people that are willing to take animals. I will let you know.
  17. I love our SR22. Great little gun and I have no issues with cleaning or jamming as stated above. Maybe I got a good one but it runs as good as my P89 and that thing will not stop. I have never had an issue with that gun either. As for price I bought it used from a guy on here or one of the other Tennessee gun club sites for $250.
  18. Hmmm..... Will the make me turn in my pocket knife? It's black so I assume it would be classified as an assault knife.
  19. I believe the RV wouldn't start because the wolves shot it up while trying to shoot Rick. They showed the sparks flying from under the dash as he jumped on the floor. I figured it was the type with the engine up front and that is how they explain that part. Could be wrong though.
  20. I think it's time for him to turn into a true "walker". I think they will go look for him and see him chomping on someone after we find out Maggie is pregnant or something like that. That would be acceptable to me. If he is alive, that will be pretty weak storywise at this point.
  21. How about this? No wall of shame but maybe a limit on "for sale" items on non-established people. Say one or two items at first until enough time has passed and or enough posts have been reached. What that number is I don't know. Some of the others have made some suggestions that seem fair. That way if a guy has a gun he wants to sell he can do it. He may still try to short you but it may cut down on the business types that don't care about the site. Now if it is a business type person, offer a credit card rate for bulk sales that would be non refundable.
  22. Knoxville flight training at Downtown Island Airport has their rates posted on their web site. Some day I will finish my training. I just have too wait a couple more years until my son is out of college.
  23. I think the girl is a wolf spy. How else did they know the fighters were all going to be gone?
  24. I live in Knoxville and will tell you there is no way I would meet anyone In East Knoxville to buy anything. The culture on that side of town is not anything I want to deal with. Especially the Dandridge Avenue area. It's just not a good area of town.
