  2. This stinks. The last two trips I've made home, I have driven to carry the tonnage of stuff relating to having a family of 4 while the wife and kids fly. Staying for 7 days is tonnage. Guess we all fly now. I enjoyed the 10+ hour ride all to my self. It's only once a year but it might be worth while looking at getting an out of state permit if that will still be allowed. Shame really that the Commonwealth pulled this. Edit: I think TN's permit steps are more than Va's. Not sure but I think that's the case.

    M&P 9mm

I passed on an FNS9 today and shouldn't have. Had night sights that I didn't care for but just couldn't take out my wallet. Had the money just couldn't say "I'll take it".
  4. I never thought to own one until I received some of my father's when he passed(I was 30 at the time). I have since started my own collection and got my permit 4 months after we said our goodbyes.
  5. I bought 2 of them and they look decent. See what they look like after sitting in the garage over winter. Quick ship on these also. Ordered Sunday and showed up today. Nice for free shipping.
  6. Just quoting this for a response when I have a few more minutes later in the day. Short response is we are going to spend a day saying hi and thanks at Vanderbilt Children's in the next few weeks. We spent a while there during the first half of this year with my then 1 year old daughter(now two and healthy).
  7. Ruger 22/45 is my vote. I was looking at the MKIII when I talked to hipower. Of course he had a 22/45 Talo Edition sitting and collecting dust. Only problem is it chews through 10 rounds in a hurry.
  8. Nice pick up. I saw the ad for those. I was so far in the boondocks that I couldn't order any (wasn't going to mess with a phone order either). If you have too many I'll help out .
  9. This is the first year(in 10) that I've aerated and put seed down. The frost finally took out my Bermuda but the fescue/rye will need another cut before to long. Called last month "Mow-vember" :puke: .
  10. Even as a subcontractor I got a letter this week.
  11. Not a tacticool guy myself so I'm not sure how that plays into dry storage in my situation, but they did have the plastic cans on sale. 30cal metal cans are on sale Friday if that's more tacticool for you.
  12. I'm with runco. I'm just out of storage right now but prices keep tumbling. Did pick up a few ammo cans from Academy for $4.99ea. Guess I need to at least fill those up and then stay off the Web for a bit.
  13. I did the free shipping and took exactly a week. Throw Turkey Day in and that's about right.
  14. Knocking the dust off this one. First ordered from them early this year. Finally ran some two weeks ago and all went well. Placed a small order last week since funds are dwindling. Only ordered 250 each of 40S&W and 9mm. Got today-200 rounds of one and 150 rounds of the other. No heads up that anything was in short supply when I ordered. I emailed since I missed the phone times. We will see.
  15. Mine is electronic with a key backup. Bought it in 2008. I'm assuming by now most have an option of dual entry (back up) if not already built in besides a lock smith or crow bar? I need to upgrade in size one of these years.
  16. According to local scanner traffic a month or so ago they can. They were actively looking for this fella after an incident though. Picked up the traffic from start to end of the call. Not once did they say "we have the warrant signed".
  17. Get the PD35. No bulb turning. Push button is right were your thumb sits. Using it in and around the house checking for "bumps" I normally don't come off the first setting of 10 lumen. Push and hold for strobe.
  18. I did an 8 hour road trip plus hotel for a night on an out of state ticket. That cost a boat load. If it was THP the court fees are $100+ anyways. City and county LEO tickets aren't that high I don't think. It's either $133.75 or reduced a few just for showing. I did get one form the THP on second thought. The ticket was 150ish. Court reduced it to $5 but the out the door was $115 cash or check to the court house.
  19. Didn't Maroonandwhite just pick up a Dodge?
  20. Gotten 2 calls in 24 hours this week not including previous chats earlier in the year. They are getting persistent about my number for some reason. Guess they want the next nasty response to be worse than the previous. I have fun with most telemarketers.
  21. amendment2customcoating is or was a vendor here. Many folks have used him including me. Welcome aboard. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/user/13089-amendment2customcoating/
  22. I have 2 holsters from him that are top notch. Nice rig Spots.

    Stripped frame

I'm curious about the hand fitting. Not sure you can build one at home and not have a smith involved somehow.  I've run across frames on PSA and Brownell's for not a lot of $.
  24. Have that one too, well my wife does.
