  1. Got my electric power washer from Harbor Freight. Wouldn't due without it now. Clean the siding every year or so. Got a gravel driveway that's about 3/8 mile long. Complete with mud holes. I use it to clean the mud and road dirt off the car and truck every week or so. Just stay back from the paint a couple of feet. Both decks get a cleaning one a year. Got a honey due list that has a repaint for the metal deck table and chairs. First I'll clean the rust off with the PW. Engine type are too expensive. I just carry a 100 ft extension with me. Ray

If I can help it that rifle will never see round of ammunition. Got a birthday coming at the end of the month. Hoping to get a wall case to display it in.

I signed up of half a dozen raffles Knowing good and well that I was going to end up on junk mail lists. This time I stepped in the well known pile of it and ended up with a quarter stuck to the bottom of my shoe. I signed up at Henry booth and sure and behold I won the $1100 Henry NRA lever action rifle. I've never had a rifle that looked this beautiful. The engraving is fantastic, the stock is a well fitted walnut. For someone that is going to be 71atthe end of the month, I'm as excited as a kid at Christmas.
  4. Spend a fortune on rawhide chewies throw them on the floor. The next time he even looks at the couch cushions hand him one. We've got a golden, a Shepard, a great pyrenees, and a Heinse 57 verities. Ended up replacing the furniture in two rooms before learning this trick.
  5. Most fun I've ever had with a blinker. I bought new brass and cast my own hard cast bullets with 2400 or H110. Blasted the hell out of more than my share of tin cans and plastic jugs.
  6. Figure out how much you've got and what you want for them. I just finished the last of the 5 gallon bucket I had. Ray rzillick@gmail.com
  7. I could use a couple thousand 9mm Luger if the price is right. You'll have to mail them to me cause I live about 60 miles South of Knoxville. Ray
  8. 380, 9mm luger, 9x18, 38 super,38 super comp are so close that it's going to be hard to find the difference in them.
  9. I hope we've still got a plant being built here.
  10. You've made a very definite statement. I believe that most teachers have had enough. And they are wanting to step up to the plate and stop craziness. Has anybody noticed how little carjackings have been in the news since self locking doors and concealed carry?
  11. Now it's about time to get the teachers packing. They could practice right in the school with paintball or the like. On live targets and classroom discussion after the scenarios. Who wouldn't give up a couple of hours once every other week. The officer did a great job. I don't want to take from hes thunder. But how far did he have to travel to get to the "shots fired". Many of us in practical pistol sports would be glad to help out where we could.
  12. I have a RCBS Chargemaster. All my rifle charges are measured. When I use powders like 4895 It's worse. It has a longer tube to it. That's a good idea. I'm going to try it.
  13. What do you guys do to settle a load of powder? When I use stick powder like Varget in a bottleneck cartridge " 308" that there are times when, even though I am using a long tube on my powder funnel and all the same brand of case I don't have enough room for all the powder. I'd have to check, but I think I drop 37 gr. of varget out of the powder measure into the case. After tapping the case on the bench top a dozen of so time almost the whole inside if the neck is showing. This is a butt pain, it breaks my concentration, and it slows me down. What do you guys do in a case like this?
  14. I agree with everything except going for two days. I have gone for the last 4 years and you just can't see everything in two days. Go for three days, see everything, make notes of the things you want to see again, and where they are, and take your time. You will never see as many manufacturers reps in one place. I wouldn't miss it. I save up all my stupid questions all year long and ask the people that actually design the products. Here's one I asked Siearra, " If you were hunting in Tennessee for deer what bullet would you use " Didn't take the engineer from Siearra three seconds to answer, " Pro hunter 150gr ". Oh, boy was he right!
  15. How about a nice Walther PPQ Q5 Match? Less than 200 rounds through it? $725
  16. Just a reminder that there are a few sick people left .
  17. Never had a jam with any of the Rugers I've got. My Mini 14 and my Mini 30 doesn't like light loads. I honestly think I could feed my SR 762 a long brown thing and it would go off.
  18. If you want pretty, marry a good looking lady, that never gets a headache, and will bring you a beer once in a while. Have you ever heard of a Ruger that didn't work?
  19. My wife and I saw it last night. We both were really disappointed. It didn't follow the story line from the other movies, bounced around so much that you couldn't follow any story line, they killed of the only character from the old movies that is still alive in real life, moved so fast you couldn't follow what was going on. Shall I go on whining? Spent $40 for 1 popcorn, 2 drinks, and 2 tickets. Wish I had that choice to make over again.
  20. You're exactly right. I drug out one of my shell holders from my rockchucker and the extrusion would have made the same mark. Thanks
  21. I found this in one of my reloaded cartridges. What the hell could make this kind of mark on the base? It is very sharp [Snags the fingernail] and I can't read the manufacture stamp
  22. bersaguy I agree with you completely. It was accident, but all accidents have a reason for happening.
  23. Well, how about a statement from the guy across the table of the man that had the accidental discharge? After having a Thanksgiving lunch in a meeting room of the church the discussion went to what kind of handgun a lady at the table should get for concealed carry. The gentleman just across from me said " I carry everyplace I go ". With this he reached into his pocket and pulled out his LCP. Dropped the mag and cleared the chamber He handed me the gun, I gave it a proprietary look and handed it the lady we were talking about. She also gave it a 5 second look and handed it back to him. He then returned the mag and charged the chamber. Then put it back in his pocket. [Never saw a holster] He then took it back out of his pocket to show my wife the paint he put on the hammer so he could see at a glance if the gun was cocked. If you've noticed I didn't say anything about him clearing the gun again. He had the gun in the palm of his hand facing away from my wife so she could see the back of the pistol and unfortunately toward his. Why, I don't know but his finger ended up inside the trigger guard and accidentally pulled the trigger. The blast from the gas blew a great deal of the tissue from just under his thumb away. The bullet impacted his wife in the lower abdomen, traveled just under the skin for a distance of 3-4 inches exiting and continuing on to hit her in the underside of her forearm, impacting both bones. Now let's talk about the way Tennesseans react to such an emergency. It took 15-20 seconds for the rest of the people in the room to realize what had happened. You might expect them to run away from the danger, but that wasn't the case. Several went outside and were in the process of calling 911. Some moved the tables out of the way. Many were cleaning up the blood off the floor. Those of us with medical training were working were working with the injured. Minutes later the Tellico Plain Police were on the scene. Followed by those from the next town North, followed closely by EMS. The man was taken by squad and his wife was taken by helicopter to UT.
