  1. We moved to Tn. last year from Mississippi and as you may know we had a referendum in 2001 to keep the state flag that has a battle flag as part of it and it passed with something like 65% voting for it. I knew people that had never registered to vote and that was enough to get them registered. And btw there were plenty of black voters that voted for it also. For crying out loud it is part of the history of the state. If you don't like it, move to NY, Cali, or Mass. Phil Bryant the governor of Mississippi said he would uphold the referendum that the people had voted for. All of these PC governors and politicians need to be voted out. You can try all you want, but you cannot change history. That is being whittled on by the PC/liberal teachers and the like though. I am not a racist and I don't like being labeled as one just because I happened to be born a white, male that likes guns!! My view is if you don't like looking at a Confederate statue, flag, etc. look the other way!!! There are a lot of things I don't like to see, but you don't see me whining to get it removed from view. I for one am fed up with this crap. And that IS the nice version.

Yea but he would need an ammo carrier trailer behind to pull all the ammo. I bet after a few bursts the varmints in his neck of the woods would LEAVE!!!
  3. I saw a show on last night testing the Double tap ammo with 2 projectiles, it had a regular JHP followed by a 50 or so grain flat disc. Has anyone tried reloading anything similar to this? The tests showed pretty good accuracy of both projectiles out to 30 yards. Thanks Mac
  4. For any deer hunters let me tell you that coyotes will cut your deer herd down considerably. I read a few years back a fellow in Ohio put game cameras at 2 coyote dens and in 1 month one female had brought 27 fawns to the den the other had brought 24, not I understand this is second hand info, but can you imagine 51 fawns from 2 coyote bitches in 1 month?? They are just like feral/wild hogs they need to be eliminated to the very last one!!!

There are a number of atv/utv mounts for a rifle scabbard. I had a friend that used to see more deer while on his tractor than any other time. I have also shot coyotes and bobcats while on my 4 wheeler.
  6. I have heard that chunks of sponge soaked in cooking oil that has been used such as after frying fish will get the job done. I haven't actually used this method, but have heard of people saying it works.
  7. The "new" price for .22's is going up, just as Ron_Tn alluded about the so called gas shortage in 1973. It sure was mighty suspicious that when gas went to $1.00+ there was all the gas you wanted, prior to that the service stations had lines and their tanks were so low you got trash and water a lot of times. When the manufacturers finally realize that we as consumers will pay a pretty penny to shoot our guns then they will put on some new machines, double the price and bam all the ammo you can buy, which will be 1/2 as much as you could buy prior to all this craziness. I said this many years ago that a gun without sufficient ammo was not even a good club, a baseball bat or golf club is much better when you are out of ammo. My $0.02
  8. I am sure ya'll have thought of this, but this crime happened in the south. All of the other riots were in the north. I really believe that race relations are better in the south for the most part. I really feel for the families of the victims. As for the dirtbag, I think a firing squad or maybe a more gruesome death like that of William Wallace, gut him, quarter him, then decapitate him and put his head on a pole for all the other dirtbags to see. I know this may seem too gruesome for some people, but I am a firm believer that if ever town had a gallows set up and held public hangings that the violent crimes would nose dive.
  9. The news said he used a fully auto gun, but the gunfire that I heard sounded like semi. For sure he was a nut case, they said he was blaming the cops for losing his son. What was very disturbing was a CNN news commentator said the shooter was courageous for attacking the cops. The van was reportedly bought off of E-bay as a zombie attack van.
  10. How about Cowboy Bob Kelly, Luthez and more than I can remember. My grandmother used to start out watching wrestling sitting back on the couch and in a minute or two she was sitting on the edge shouting to the referee that the bad tag team was doing some underhanded thing behind his back. Makes me chuckle how she thought all that was real. My dad said he was at a restaraunt and some wrestlers who were supposedly arch enemies had been out eating together. It is all a big show, I haven't watched it in years in fact Hulk Hogan was wrestling when I quit.
  11. Hey Luke I watch Waters go out and I almost cry because of the stupidity I hear, like when did Columbus discover America and get answers like 1944. There is a remedy to this though and I am proud to say my son and daughter-in-law will start home schooling our 2 oldest grand kids this year. They too are fed up with the crazy common core crap and the history that is not taught. What boils my blood is that the left has somehow gotten the authority to "change" history. It makes as much sense as them thinking they can change the climate, or is it the weight of the money in our wallets that they are really after. I believe it is a simple CONTROL issue and I ain't real good at being controlled, just ask my wife!!
  12. Not a thing wrong with this set up. 10-4 on it's too danged hot for outdoor projects. Our coop is 1 of the next projects, but hey all I got is time that the Good Lord gives me.
  13. I don't believe they make big enough sacks for the task!!
  14. I certainly not a lawyer or knowledgeable about the law, but if the potus, atty gen and various politicians can circumvent the constitution does it really matter if they say "we" can't talk about a gun?? If "we the people" don't stand up now we are going to be like the Brits and Aussies and will have a single shot gun that is locked up in an amory across town that we can check out and shoot at an approved range for a fee of $$$$$ that the elitist dictate we pay. Hell the idiots in charge are more concerned with climate change which we all know cannot be controlled than they are about controlling the flood of illegal immigrants across the borders. If you think this is bad, just wait until the next Clinton gets in the WH, if you are able to purchase and have in your hand a slingshot you will be lucky!! Get ready it is coming to a town near you real fast!!! BTW I hope I am wrong about whom the next potus will be.
  15. Crossfire thanks for the reminder, this is a day that I generally don't forget. Another few dates that most don't celebrate is June 5th, 1944 this is when the Allies entered Rome, also the Brits dumped 5,000 tons of bombs from 1,000 bombers on Normandy coast. And the one that really counts is May 8, 1945 which is VE day, victory in Europe. Thanks to all the vets and their families who paid prices we cannot comprehend for our freedoms.
  16. Thanks for the pics Essone and to you and all the other vets. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE TO THIS GREAT COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had 3 BIL's 1 retired Army, 1 retired Navy and 1 short time Marine. I always wanted to go into the Air Force, but because they had this police action in Vietnam I decided against that. I really do appreciate all that the vets have done for my freedoms. I have a good friend that is a WWII vet and was on the Bataan death march and my wife's only remaining Uncle is a 90 year old WWII vet that served in the Pacific. I know I haven't been in the service, but consider myself a great patriot. OORAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
  17. You are right myG30. And I personally think that was the idea all along. If we are not dilligent to take kids shooting, we will end up with a generation that are not marksman. I really feel like gun owners and their shooting abilities has always helped to keep the checks and balances in line to a degree.
  18. Yea 1 UGLY old dog and 1 sheepdog!!
  19. The word ammo sexual is new to me, but it is kind of arousing!! I mean just the mention of ammo and I know that I am going to stick it into a tight chamber and light the primer up!!! According to urban dictionary the definition is someone who feels affection for firearms. Often an attraction to the beauty and design of the gun, but also can refer to the love of the history, freedom, security, or tactile feel of the gun. Also typified by those who feel joy in being able to find and acquire ammunition to feed their firearms, especially at an affordable price
  20. Yeah GM is too high, places like Bass Pro and the like with all the fancy fountains and fish tanks and such. Guess who gets to pay for all that fancy stuff? As for the price of 10 cents per round, look at it like this would you rather go out and spend $30+ to shoot 50 rounds of .38 or shoot 50 rounds of 22 at $5??? It is better than not shooting because either you don't have any ammo or don't want to use up your zombie stash.
  21. Bersa I have several good black friends. I truly believe the main problem in the black community and is becoming more prevelant in the white community is the fact that daddy's are not there and raising the children. Now on the subject of hiring a certain percentage of any color or race is wrong. When schools became intergrated the tests were designed that most anyone could pass and thus the diplomas that high schools give out today are certainly not worth the one we have.
  22. I see a bunch of coffee tables right there
  23. Well Essone thanks for your service and sacrifice. I was going to wait until August to post it, but at my age I felt I better do it while it was on my bwain!!
  24. For the younger generation on August 11, 1965 the Watts riots broke out in LA. For 5 days, 144 hours the riots continued that left 34 people dead, 118 gunshot victims, 1032 injured. One fireman, one deputy and one policeman dead. 3438 people arrested, the national guard was called out and 14,000 with tanks arrived. There were 288 stores completely burned out, all of the white owned businesses never returned. There were many so called factors that started this, one was overcrowding but this statistic doesn't wash as there were 14,000 blacks per square mile as opposed to 69,000 whites per square mile in NYC. There was $40 million in damages which in today's money is close to $300 million. All of this was started when a black man told a California Highway patrolman that he suspected a man driving drunk and gave the description, soon afterwards the car was spotted and the driver and 2 others who jumped on the officer were arrested. According to the testimony of the man arrested the patrolman was polite. I thought as the 50th anniversary is approaching that some of you younger people would like to know that the rioting like is happening in Baltimore has been going on for a long time. In fact when Lyndon Johnson signed the 1964 Civil Rights on July 2, 1964 act it took only 16 days for the Harlem riots to break out. In 1964 there were also riots in Rochester, Ny., Dixmoor, IL., Patterson, NJ. Philadelphia, Pa. Do some investigating these riots and they all are very similar. From 1900 to July 2, 1964 there had only been 3 riots, 2 in Harlem and 1 in Jacksonville, Fl, but there were 5 in 1964. Just a history lesson to think about. History does repeat itself when no changes are made btw.
  25. I was thinking putting it next to the porta potty that is also full of $hit.
