  1. I was thinking putting it next to the porta potty that is also full of $hit.
  2. Excuse me haven't you posted this before? Or was that someone else on another forum? Huh what's my name??
  3. I cast and reload and I have read countless threads on cost savings. First of all nobody I know gets paid for their free time watching the boob tube so why do I always see "you have to figure what your time is worth"? Plain and simple reloading is a hobby in itself, shooting is a hobby unless you are a paid merc. If you find reloading boring or work then go watch the boob tube and buy your ammo at whatever price you can find today!!
  4. And that is why boys and girls to have all of your IFTA stickers current. I was stopped once for having an expired sticker. If you notice 18 wheelers they will have a row of them all different colors so that LE can look at a glance and see if you have this years color be it blue, yellow or whatever. If you will also notice how many felony stops start with a broken taillight or tag light? LE has to have a reason to pull you over then they can begin fishing for some fishes if something smells fishy!!
  5. Just curious what was the price. Just in case I ever win the powerball and need to reduce the amount of money I have.
  6. I think they will be blue helmet UN troops. But our troops have done it here in the U.S. in 2005 New Orleans, La. right after Katrina they went house to house confiscating legally owned firearms by innocent people. It is all a test to see if they can get them during a crisis. Crisis or not they were illegally confiscated. I understand that the troops had orders to shoot anyone that refused to give up the guns. It could have been real ugly if somebody had shot some of the troops.
  7. We try not to meddle in our kids lives, but when I heard they were going to home school the grandkids I was beside myself with joy. I told my wife to tell my DIL who was on the phone that I was backing them 100%. Stop and think these kids will basically be tutored for their remainder of school. Who best to be your advocate than your mom and dad. They have committed to going on field trips to Washington or wherever to not just talk about but show these kids. My son is self employed and he said if it took 3 weeks to see what they were teaching then so be it. I think when they first discussed it with the kids ages 12 and 8 they were opposed, but after they see how  home schooled kids are ranked to enter college they changed their minds. I am proud that my son and DIL are going to take the time and effort to educate their kids.
  8. I have long ago concluded the 2 party system just points the finger at the other party and they do pretty much the same sorry, greedy job if you can call it a job. I would much prefer no parties and if there were 20 men running for POTUS, let the man with the best ideas win. As for the the comments of Essone, my son and dil are going to start home schooling my 2 oldest grand children and teach them properly the things of history that needs to be learned and not forgotten. I don't know if any of you have seen Jesse Watters on Bill O'Reilly asking questions but it is ridiculous. He asked some college kids when did Columbus discover America and got answers like 1944. And we have to ask ourselves why we have stupid politicians, well we have stupid voters, or would that be ignorant voters?
  9. Would it be just way too simple to spell it out??? I have had it with the friggin Icons too. In fact the icons in the cars and on pieces of electronics are absolutely a joke. It's not nice to play jokes on us old people.
  10. Boy it seems easy for ya'll to derail a thread. Shows where your minds are huh??
  11. On a similar note, about a year after my father passed away my mom was going thru his closet sorting clothes to give away and in a jacket pocket found 3-100 dollar bills. The neat thing it was within a day or so of her birthday. You know we should all tell someone where our hiding spots are so no "loot" is left unfound!
  12. Well I went this morning and never heard or saw one, I heard 1 shot about 7:30 on the other side of the lake. Took the wifey out riding around and saw a tom strutting about 4 pm but couldn't get a look at his beard. Oh well that is why they call it hunting and not shopping. I think the cool weather this morning probably didn't help matters.
  13. You can also use an arrow for a plug in an extended tube. R_Bert if you have ever eaten a wild turkey, yes you would have shot it and eaten it. Take the breast and cut it into about 1" chunks batter it and deep fry it and say MMMMMMMMM good just like Andy would after eating a good meal cooked by Aunt Bee!!
  14. Congrats. Hey Eray 2nd's on newlywed, we celebrated our 44th on March 27th!! We have decided that we will stay together for a little while longer anyway!!
  15. I see it as a great buy on an antique stool, but as firewood slightly overpriced?? What is the old saying a fool and his money are soon parted!
  16. That's funny right there I don't care who you are!!
  17. My wife was a little girl when a rooster attacked her and to this day and she is 62 she carries the scars on her thigh. I think they had rooster also!!
  18. Sorry to hear of your family's loss. Will be praying for ya'll. The story was very touching. I lost my father in 1972 and although it has been almost 43 years I still think of him quite a bit, maybe not everyday but very often. I was 19 when he passed away and I have wished several times to have 5 minutes to ask a question or 2 or get his advice. Time heals but you will always miss him.
  19. If any of you have a bullet resizer you can use it to cut your wads, that's what I do to make my own shotshells with #8 or smaller shot.
  20. Hey Whiskey I thought turkey season opens April 4th, 2015 are you a youth or what?? Just had this conversation with a neighbor that thought it opened yesterday.
  21. I live in Pickett county and you should see the description. From the hickory tree 40' N.E. to the rock. It is like reading a comical story.
  22. I don't know about ya'll but I would miss my use of cordless power tools the most. That is what I want a solar setup for. Dolomite, as for A/C I saw a prepper on TV that had 2 4" pvc pipes in the ground about 6 foot or so, he lived on a hill and got cool air somewhat like a cave is always 55 or so year round. May be something to look into.
  23. Everyone has good tips. I never have a radio, tv, computer etc on when reloading. It is something that requires your utmost attention. I only use a few powders, but only open 1 can, I also mark with a sticky label what is in the powder measure in case I leave it in there as I sometimes do. Keep a good record of what load data is in a particular batch as a few days or weeks or years clouds your memory. Organize your bench for your comfort and ease. When I first started I was sharing our laundry room and my wife asked several times if what I was doing was safe and my reply was/is " this is safer than cutting your grass". I never have a conversation with anyone while loading, if you call or come by I will finish the round I am loading and then we will talk. If you want instruction or tips I will show you. Be careful, have fun. This hobby is probably the most addictive and rewarding of all my hobbies. As I grow older I am even more conscious of labeling batch with all load data so that anyone can duplicate it if they choose.
  24. Good ones, let me leave this one. 4 old retired guys were out driving and saw a sign for a pub so they stopped and went in. There was a sign over the bar ALL DRINKS 10 cents. So they all ordered a martini and the bartender said that will be 40 cents, well the martini's were great shaken and not stirred so they ordered another round. The bartender came back and said 40 cents gents. 1 of the guys said man how in the world do you stay in business selling drinks for 10 cents? The bartender said well about 3 years ago I won the lottery for 125 million I always wanted my own bar so I set the price for all drinks wine, beer, whiskey at 10 cents. Well there was about 7 or 8 people sitting at the other end of the bar but not a single glass in front of them and 1 of the guys says hey what is the deal with those folks not drinking? The bartender replied oh they are all from Florida and they are waiting for happy hour when the drinks are half priced plus they have coupons!!
  25. Good post Hipower, and Happy Birthday. If you are like me it is just another day, but you know what that's a pretty good gift. You have probably heard it, but today is very special as they call it the present!! I heard a good one the other day "Life is like a coin you have only once to spend it so spend it wisely."
