    Magazine Wear

I personally have not. But there has been issues where when new some mags left fully loaded had caused the mag lips to bend outward. This didn't seem to happen after the mags springs were broken in. If the mags were left loaded an inserted in the pistol this didn't seem to happen, as the slide would press down on the round in the mag. But left loaded and out of the pistol there were issues. This caused feeding issues. I can not remember the what make or models they were. In my opinion this was due to a weak mag design.   Honestly, If your using a reputable makers mag. You'll have no issues.
  2. I found the "American Dream II"   http://www.ebay.com/itm/Artist-Louis-Jones-American-Dream-II-limited-edition-signed-numbered-print-/181204791055
  3. I have USAA and never had an issue. But it's been 4 years now since I sold my GSXR-600. I haven't heard of any "black list" on bikes. I figure they would insure just about anything for the right price.
  4.  Yeah, If it had any real issues I'm sure he'd let it be known.
  5. James Yeager claims to have between 7,000 to 8,000 rounds through his. I believe he said the rear sight came loose once. He put more lock tight on the screw and locked it back down, Not a problem since.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVDBDDKPtIo
  6. Another reason to trade for the g27 in your case is that most all the parts will work in each pistol. Other than the slide the barrel and recoil springs. All the other parts like the trigger, firing pin, mag release, slide release, extractor etc are the SAME. To you pretty much have a spare parts gun. Or you can just keep fewer spare parts since you pretty much have the same gun.   And if you wanted to you can even use the g23 barrel in the g27.
  7.   I agree Survivorman was the best one. Dual Survivor is "ok" and about the only one I can stand to watch.
  8. :bowrofl:    GREATEST POST OF THE DAY....... :bowrofl:
  9. Looks like their site gunmall.biz is pretty much a mirror of nfdnetwork.com So you might want to figure out who to call and ask where it is? I'd start with FF and then move to NFD if I had to....   Registered through: GoDaddy.com, LLC (http://www.godaddy.com) Domain Name: NFDNETWORK.COM Created on: 28-Dec-11 Expires on: 28-Dec-17 Last Updated on: 12-Dec-12 Registrant: zipperSNAP PO Box 60207 Colorado Springs, Colorado 80960 United States
  10. I figure I'll pass since I'm pretty new to big game hunting in general. I haven't master Deer yet. So I'll let you guys that know how to call and scout have this one.   Good guys.
  11. I don't think it's the heat as much as maybe the humidity. We had a neighbor pass away and he always kept a pistol in his car. I know the ammo and pistol were left in a car for about 3 years for sure. After he passed away the family gave me the pistol as they didn't have a need or want for it. I tried to fire the ammo and 3 of the 7 rounds were squib and stuck in the barrel. I know for sure the ammo was good when he bought it. I was with him when he bought it and I shot the pistol and then cleaned it for him.  The ammo was Winchester White Box 100 round value pack. I found the rest of the ammo in his house.  I did not shoot it.   I would at least change ammo that was kept in a humid environment once every 6 months minimum.
  12. According to Shilen a 1:10 should be good up to 230gr. An 8 twist would be need if you plan to shoot any heavier than 230gr VLDs.   I'm guessing in the barrel is 24"?
  13.   I've heard this as well. The biggest problem I see is that some people will suffer if this happens. I'm not talking about the guy that hacks the exhaust system to sound cool. I'm talking about the single  parent or person trying to make the best with what they have. If you ever work at a public parts store or repair shop, you'll understand what I;m saying. I am split on the issue myself.
  14. I once shot a chronograph in a similar way. The bore is LOWER than the height of the scope.  So one must remember to RAISE the bore above the chronograph. Good thing I did it with a low powered air rifle and only nicked the the top edge. No real damage was done. It happens more than you would think. Especially to new owner of chronographs.   I'm betting many a truck bed sides have been dealt the same fate. Shooting off the bed rail over the bed of the truck with a scoped gun. I can't laugh at the guy. I can completely see how it happened.
  15. Google "Misspelled Tattoos"    There are a bunch.
  16. Here's a review I found browsing the Reviews   Alicia Robertson - July 7, 2013 - Version 1.0             My mother is on this map! I got this app because I wanted to know if there were any gun-toting rednecks nearby, as we live near the woods, and G-d knows what kinds of crazy hicks want to shoot my babies! To my relief, it didn't report anything to me. I later showed this program to my mother, but when I opened the app, I was absolutely shocked to find out that someone had reported my mother as the owner of an "SKS" assault rifle! My mother never touched a gun in her life! This app is nothing but libellous, bald-faced LIES!!! Shame...
  17. If you have no use for it, you might as well trade. I'd rather have something I like and use, than something I don't like and never use. Yeah, you won't get the most money for it by trading it in. But that's how trad-in work. If you don't want to trade it sell it. But then you risk loss in the Sub2000 to another buyer?

    New Addition

Nice trade. But if it were my brother I would have gave him more than a "little" money. I like my brother too much do him that way.   Good score man.
  19. Frontier Firearms does have a Gunsmith. They call him Red.  He owned his own Gunsmith business for years before going to Gander Mountain. He left Gander Mountain where as of 2 weeks ago he was still working at Frontier Firearms.   Not trying to call you out on anything, I'm just saying they have a Gunsmith. Whether he does custom gun work or not, I do not know. I do know he does work on factory stuff. Custom being making of or modifying parts.   And I'll agree. I was not impressed with Austin's in OR.
  20. I think I've deciphered it. I'll attempt to make it short and to the point.   Buddy 1 sold a pistol to Buddy 2. Buddy 2 sold the pistol to a Woman. Woman kills her Husband. Police trace down paper trails to find the last buyer of pistol. Woman was last person to sign saying she bought the pistol.   Buddy 1 and Buddy 2's houses were swarmed with door busting police who arrest them. They each have a bill of sale to whom they sold the pistol to.   As for what I do with private sells. Me, I ask to see I.D. to be sure they are of age to own a firearm. DL is fine. I ask if they are legally allowed to own a firearm according to state and federal laws. At this point you just have to take their word for it and make a decision based on the answers and action of the potential buyer.   And YES, I've refused a sell to people.
  21. I'd sell it. But make it clear he is the one wanting it. Nothing worse than loosing a friend over money. I really don't like selling friends stuff myself. Even if the do something stupid and break what ever it is I sell them, I still feel bad as if it were somehow my fault. I'd NEVER make a good used car salesman.   You can get NEW Gen3s for $580 OTD. I'd rather have a NEW pistol and $20 than and old one that realistically should/will sell for $475-$500.
  22. I had one once. (Only Sig I ever owned or could afford). I got it used. It jammed all the time unless you used CCI MiniMags. Cheap(er) bulk ammo was a joke. I did manage to get old Federal shells to function %75 of the time.   I REALLY liked the pistol and it was VERY accurate. I just wish it would have feed the cheap bulk ammo. Other wise, I would have NEVER sold it.    If you're looking for a combat style full size(ish) pistol. I'd pass and look at an M&P 22. I rented one and put 350 rounds through it with ZERO issues. I was amazed how well it shot. The only bad thing I found about it was it only comes with ONE mag. And mags are hard to find and expensive if and when you find them.
