I just tried to go there and not only could't the i-net find it but it took me to a page saying there was no such page.... Anyone got any ideas on what's up?
-
Please disregard....No idea why it loaded 2x.

I just figured out to sort it but it has turned from a nice place to have a look at guns and things to a dealership sales website even though all these dealers already have their own websites. Now all you see is the shotgun barrel guy, these bozo's or bullet hoarding dudes. If they can't sell on their own website what makes them think they will do it on someone else's? I know I sure as hell won't buy for any of these bozo's.

hipower, how? lowpower... :)

I looked in there today and found some dealer posting page after page of sales items and he's located over 90 miles from our area. It won't be long before the dealers take over armslist like they did ebay. An easy fix for them would be what craigslist did...allow you to filter between private parties and dealers.

Tennessee Takes Errant Self-Defense Shots Seriously, per 39-11-604
Lowpower replied to a topic in General Chat
When I went through the Academy in another State, many years ago if you got shot at and people around you were supposed to be looking at your backstop. If the perp started putting people down then you could take whatever force necessary to put the guy down. Anyone hit after the bad guy put someone down was another charge against him, if he lived. Which raise sTN law as you noted it. Some crazy kid goes into the mall and opens up on anyone and everyone around. You take him under fire to stop him from hurting/killing more people then you hit a bystander with a bullet that went through the crazy. Are you still liable? -
And there is a problem with blackening the rears sights, too? I don't think so. :)

He's from SE Texas but you probably knew that.

Guns and Asmo has recoil springs and if you plan to mess around with the sear spring pick up one of those. If you like spending ALL the money go to them. I think the next G-Town Gun Show at the Agri-center is only a week or two away. There's aways a guy there that has most of the parts you need and he's not trying to make a million dollars off you.

Masking tape works perfectly. Rip off an inch of a roll and light it. The smoke is heavy black and costs.....? We've been using that for years for our Garand Matches.

Anyone else just get a call from the NRA saying we need to call Corker and Alexander and emphasize we want them to continue to defend our second amendment rights in the Senate? IO was working in the garage and heard the last of the call as I walked in. They gave the phone numbers to call your reps.

Double digit inflation?

I wonder if the mag release is properly seating in the frame. Was there part of the release sticking out of the right side of the frame?

two things... Make sure you tell them that you want the job. Most folks don't ask to work for the Company. Make sure you thanks them for the interview. Good luck and we're praying for ya! Lp

Don't get me started on the Govt. I'd swear to God their thought process is, "well hell, they volunteered. No one told them to go in the service". Having all these outside organizations that came about to get help for disabled vets is pure BS. Volunteers or not they served and the Gov't (all American taxpayer dollars should be used to cover rehab and disability) should be covering them for their service. Anyone who has a vote has the same duty to vote those clowns in D.C. out of office and begin restoring our Country to it's former glory. I also think the only reason we're all hero's now is for two reasons. It's politically correct with an all volunteer military and our kids have finally grown up and realize what we all did for our country along with the parents of those currently serving. They're the ones calling us all hero's. To all that have served and are serving. SALUTE! You're all hero's! Lp USAF '71-'75 TN...The Volunteer State!

Sorry all. I'll try and take some better pics. Lp -
Wudya believe original C. Sharps 1859 in .45-100? Shoots nice, too! I did some horse trading for it. Ok more pics...These are a lil bit better focused. Please let me know if they're ok. I have not had a chance to get out to the range with it due to work and home duties. I will get out and shoot hopefully by this Friday and will get some range pics. As you can see it began life as percussion carbine. You can see the rail for primer caps just under the hammer. Lp

Vox makes a modeling amp. They're normally called a Valtronix. I have the 120VT. It has wah-wah, fuzz, you name it, built in. I see them in all sizes at the pawn shops a lot and they're pretty inexpensive. Mine also has switchable wattage so you can switch from 30 watts rms to 60 or 120. That way you can still drive it without rattling the windows. Here's a tube of one...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urert0ZJTHs

90 yr old S&W Fails to Function
Lowpower replied to HvBikeWlTravel's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
My old S&W would't release the cylinder because a previous owner had overloaded a round and bulged the forcing cone. Once that happened it put pressure against the cylinder when you tried to open it. If I hold the open button forward with one hand and rap the cylinder to push it out with the palm of the other hand it will open. The cylinder rotates freely when it's in battery. My only fix is to saw off the forcing cone and find someone with a jig to remove the barrel without twisting the pistols frame. You might not have the same problem but it;s worth a look to see if that might be the problem. -
What cal's do you plan on loading? My suggestion buy once and pass it on to your kids. I have a Dillon 550B, a Herters (real old) and a rock chucker which I seldom use much anymore. It is relegated to pulling bullets and punching primers. The old herters is for reloading 45-70's since I never resize them. The Dillon pretty much has all the duties for both pistol and rifle reloading. My reloading buddy has a Hornady which works fine. The Dillon and Hornady have a 100% replacement part warranty that is unlimited. I've never been fond of the Lee Loaders because most of them are cast and aluminum. I just saw a complete Lee Progressive press at our club swap meet today for $70. It's probably go for $50. It even had a bullet feeder. Someone will buy it. Parts break all the time on progressive presses. I even broke a handle off my old dillon square deal b. I called them and had a new one in 4 days, free of charge. Lp
