Greg: I like the way you think. I'll just say "Ditto!"

I found the ad. Click Here Definately foreign made. Can't really see the headstamp very well, but I think its DAG. which would be Dynamit Nobel Germany. Definitely has the three point crimp. Oddly enough, it appears to be a hybrid case with a steel head and a polymer body. He's only asking $100, but I still wouldn't buy this stuff.

About the only .308 blanks I've ever seen were military. You can bet they'll be crimped. Also a good chance that they are foreign made and berdan primed. Does the seller have pictures or mention the headstamp? Like others here, I have removed primers before and reused them. As long as you're careful it can be done. But you need to examine them carefully. If the anvil is damaged, its junk. Just out of curiosity, how much is he asking? Can you post a link to the ad? Regardless, I sure wouldn't waste money on them.

Statue? Nah. Medal of Freedom? Unnecessary. I nominate Dolly for Sainthood.

I got this from TFA this evening. Mr. Harris has a very interesting take on this issue. February 19, 2021 Follow TFA on MeWe – we are discontinuing updates to Facebook and Twitter Share this update from the TFA Website News Posts You likely keep hearing the phrase that Tennessee should become a "sanctuary state" particularly now that Biden-Harris are President and the Democrats control Congress. There is a strong argument that Tennessee should not aspire to be a "sanctuary state" but that it should have higher aspirations and purposes. First, the 2nd Amendment and 10th Amendment are express prohibitions on federal (and now state) infringement of the right of citizens to keep, bear, possess, use, own, carry, practice with, etc., any kind of "arms" that a soldier would want or need or that would be useful in a military or militia engagement. Second, and in contrast, Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution expressly authorizes Congress to regulation immigration and naturalization. The original terminology "sanctuary" state or more often city arose, if I recall, from progressive, Democrat, socialists areas where people decided that they would hide, shelter, aid and abet criminals who were illegal aliens. As such, these individuals and governments that aided them were trying to block enforcement of laws, regulations and/or order in an area where the Constitution expressly gives Congress authority. Indeed, those"sanctuary"advocates should have been criminally prosecution for obstruction or facilitation but the federal government did not do so - a separate soap box talk. In contrast to the immigration issue, the Constitution expressly prohibits federal infringement relative to "arms". Therefore, a state or local government refusing to enforce or aid in the enforcement of such federal laws, regulations or orders is not a criminal "sanctuary" act. NO! It is to the contrary the express duty of such states and local government to raise the shields of the 2nd and 10th Amendments to block unconstitutional and ultra vires federal laws, regulations and orders over issues where the Constitution itself prohibits federal authority or action Consequently, it is constitutionally inaccurate to characterize 2nd and 10th Amendment based bills as "sanctuary" bills. They are not. They are not acts to frustrate the legitimate constitutional exercise of federal power. They are acts by Sovereign States to shield their citizens from unconstitutional federal activity. We must stop using the term "sanctuary" in any context to reference the citizens' fundamental right to arms and the constitutional prohibition against government infringement of that right. I went out and measured today. We got a little over 4". But I'm not completely sure if the tape made it all the way down. -
The original Colt Trooper was the gun the Python was based on. Same action and quality with just a regular barrel. Those are now high dollar collectibles as well. The later Trooper MK III an MK V were completely different guns. I have a MK III. While it is an excellent revolver, it ain't a Python.

Considering the current craziness, that ain't bad at all. And he's located close to me. Too bad I don't have anything in 7.62X39. I have seen on other boards where people are getting tricky about selling ammo on otherwise non-gun friendly sites. Such as an ad for screwdrivers for sale. But the pictures show the screwdrivers sitting on top of boxes of ammo.

Try to find Garand specific data. The Military M2 Ball round it was designed around operates at lower pressures than commercial .30-06 hunting ammo. Too much pressure can bend the operating rod. The data you have is correct for the Garand. He's a link to an excellent article about this subject. Not Your Father's .30-06

Howdy, always pleased to have another lady join our ranks. We need a woman's point of view around here. Feel free to jump right in.

All you have to do is look at the past year. When Antifa and BLM were rioting, burning, looting and even murdering people, the Democrats turned a blind eye or even encouraged it. But when protesters came knocking at their door, they're bound and determined to find and punish every last one of them. They only care about there own butts. That's what gun control is really all about. More power for them and no power for the citizens.

Welp, my son is stuck in my driveway. He tried to back out, hit that little dip where the driveway meets the street and stopped dead. Wheels just spun. Couldn't get any traction at all. Tried to pull back up into his parking space and no joy. He's just there. Thankfully, his car isn't hanging out into the street. Oh well, I sure wasn't planning on going anywhere anyway. Looked again and saw one of my neighbor's car in the same position.

Memphis weather says round 2 will hit Weds night into Thurs. They expect this to add 4 more inches of snow to whatever we get tonight and tomorrow.

Both our Senators and my Representative are pro-gun. I have no control over any of the others. But I do speak up to mine when needed to remind them of what's what. Chuck, I'm afraid Cohen is a lifer. He'll hold his seat for as long as he wants and nobody will ever take it. There was a chance last year when he was challenged by a local black minister. But he got kicked out of the Democratic Party for being anti-abortion. The fix is in for Cohen. The Dems will never let anybody worthwhile oppose him.

Cool! I guess I missed that one. Not exactly what I had hoped for, but it is a very positive step.

I got a mass e-mail from TFA a couple of days ago listing all the newly introduced gun bills in our state. Sorry to say there's nothing about a Sanctuary State at all.

They changed that because Washington and Lincoln's birthdays were so close together. They combined the two holidays into just one. -
Best I can do is a .45-70. That's plenty for me.

I'd think the SNL crowd would be the perfect target for the latest, greatest plastic fantastic. With millennials its all about having the cool stuff.
