  1. I remember the '98 season as well, it was a good year for sure. I just wish UT would be competitive in the SEC and contend for the SEC East title on a regular basis, and make it to the conference title game on a regular basis. Recent history has not shown anything close to that.
  2. He's hoping he gets another chance at the head coaching spot, then when he has to fire himself for poor performance while still being AD, he'll get that separation clause monies on top of the AD salary. Now that would be gaming the system wouldn't it.
  3. Maybe UT needs to promote it's football program as the "season opener" patsy or "homecoming patsy", then the azz whoopin's wouldn't hurt so bad cause the program could generate funds for the contract payoff's UT still owes or will owe in the future.
  4. Not much to discuss. UT did not show up to play football (again), got out played, out coached, out scored, etc., etc., Gonna be a long long season. Hurry up round ball.
  5. The legal aspect is it's only legal in that state (state level law) , the Feds still look at it as illegal at the federal level. The states are looking/wanting the tax revenue dollars, and maybe, just maybe they reduce one or more of the stats they keep so they can justify making it legal. I wonder what the IRS does with those tax returns when the occupation line states "marijuana producer". Why don't the Feds go bust 'em right then and there. Bet the Feds don't return the FIT checks sent along with those federal tax returns either. LOL
  6. We have 2 pair buzzing our house (I think ??) 2 males with the ruby rings around the throat, and then one female with a spot of ruby red on the throat (didn't know it was M or F until the above post). The other female does not have any ruby on her throat that I've seen, but could be wrong as they don't stay still for long. I seen a total of 5, maybe 6 playing "it's all mine, it's all mine (the feeders), when they all join in it looks like a WWII dog fight, just with supersonic midget fighters. LOL
  7. Yea tho I(she) walk thru the valley of death, I (she) will fear no evil. Will the be EDC for her, or as the need/desire arises??
  8. Never thought it was VOODOO magic in any form or fashion. He's just taking advantage of the availability of easy CC offers, (aka gaming the system) with the rewards the various issuers provide or offer. Most CC issuers are hoping enough people run up/max the CC balance, then can't pay the balance off at the end of the offer period, and have to pay the CC issuer the high interest rates to offset the ones who pay the balance off within the offer period. No rocket science involved at all. Just one of the many reasons people get into financial distress, their credit rating suffers because they overspent on numerous CC's, and then file for bankruptcy.
  9. Are you referring to the bank's liquidity ratio, or the cash held on hand (in the tellers window and vaults) to meet customer demand in their daily course of business. Banks are required to keep/maintain certain levels of cash on hand, along with other liquid assets to meet various banking guidelines. The FDIC insurance is for depositors funds which is considered a liability on the banks books. Cash on hand is an asset for the bank. The FDIC does not "insure" the cash on hand at a bank.
  10. OP; Mind sharing when you started this game, and which bank/lending institution(s) you have used???
  11. While your credit rating may be over 800, if/when you go to a bank and apply for a mortgage or car loan and they see all of the open credit card accts, you MAY be declined due to the possibility of being over-extended, or at least the ability to be over-extended since all of those accts are open & active. At least you can pay the hospital ER room with 5-10 different CC's, good for you.
  12. How many layers is the blade, and what pattern if it has a name. Beauty of a knife.
  13. A tip I learned is to put a 1 or 2 Liter frozen water bottle in the cooler along with the food/beverage items & ice, they will last a couple days and extend the ice. Even old 16oz coke bottles work as well to preserve the ice.
  14. I can't recommend a Simmons for anything but a beginners 22RF so when it gets dropped or kicked, no loss. I would go with the Leupold, I've got a couple of those, good clear scope for the $$. Being out in CO and your scope goes wonky would be bad. Never had a B&L but have read positive comments on that brand. Another one to throw in for consideration would be a Vortex Diamondback, clear glass as well, same price range IIRC as the Leupold, but you should look through all of 'em, and go from there. I have a Diamondback, glass is clear but I don't care for the huge rear eyepiece (IMO).
  15. I went to the one in Chattanooga a couple months ago, prices are competitive (?) on reloading components IMO, might find some good deals but the selection was good compared to other places. Even had some 8# jugs if that was on the shopping list. Wondered briefly thru the fishing gear, good selection, also had lots of various hunting equipment such as deer stands, clothes, etc., saw some bows as well. Can't say anything on prices on all the other stuff as I don't keep up with that.
  16. Do they roll up in a ball like the rollee-pollee's do when you poke 'em?
  17. I had not thought of how a road kill skunk can smell up a road, and you KNOW when it's a recent casualty. Years ago, I was driving my MIL's car at night and nailed a skunk (heard the thump) but hoped it had not released. Pulled into her garage, and immediately smelled it, and she started yelling "back the car outside, back the car outside". Funny, but man did it smell bad. Took about a week and driving the car in a rainstorm to get rid of the smell.
  18. Skunks have their own odor, and I've smelled them after they have just wandered thru my back yard. Just shoot 'em and leave 'em be for a hour. Or leave 'em for other scavengers.
  19. You may not be able to discharge a firearm in the city limits by law, BUT may be allowed/able to out in the county. My back property line is edge of city limits, but unfortunately, there are houses in view behind me as well. Call the local LEO's and see what they say as well.
  20. A bit flashy IMO, but works with the red shirt. I bet most people at wally world give you a wide berth walking down the meat cooler isle don't they?
  21. I've seen numerous pics posted on various forums with the PB watermark lately, they must have gotten the message about their decision to not allow pics to be posted on forums. I don;t use 'em anymore, but I don't post many pics either.
  22. I filed one in early July, like 7/8/18, and got the call on July 1, 2019 the stamp had come in. This was back when Silencerco had the BOGO last year. The freebie just showed up LATE JUNE 2019 from Silenerco, so now the waiting period started early July 2019 for the freebie. Horrible planning by the company IMO. update on my BOGO silencer, it only took less than 90 days for my stamp to come in for the BOGO silencer. Yes, less than 90 days, so WTF ????
  23. I tried one of those extended (36") watering wands from walmart that has the adjustable spray head, worked ok but if you have lots of stuff in the gutters, not so much. I had some scrap/left over pvc pipe and made a 48" wand that will attach to a garden hose, a flow control /on/off valve, has a 90* bend near the top and a short extension with a fitting that one of those "power washer nozzles" will screw onto. This nozzle is brass and non adjustable, aka a boring nozzle IIRC. It will push lots and lots of crap down the gutters to the downspout, even the granules knocked off the shingles and those acorns as well. Reduce the times you have to move the ladder and climb up/down alot.
  24. I gotz a pellet rifle you can borrow to pop it a time or 2, might leave your stuff alone then.
