  1. It's something they don't do in public in their hometown. They will travel to the next town tho. LOL
  2. Hey Kevin; I've got a e caller I've never used, and a 17hmr & a couple 10/22's that are suitable for suppressor use.
  3. Guess I better call a lawyer and start a lawsuit against anyone who has made ice cream for the past 64 yrs, .
  4. I use a MTM brush/jag container http://www.mtmcase-gard.com/products/shooting/gun-cleaning-jag.html to control my jags/brushes, some small food storage containers about the size of single serving of baby food for cleaning patches, a small (Folgers) coffee tub to hold various small bottles of cleaning solvents. The bottles I use I got from the wife's hair color packages, ear or eye drop bottles, etc. whatever size I need. Even the original bottles of Remington gun oil work well for solvents, and these fit into the Folgers tub nice and snug, can't tip over and spill but that is what the tub is for anyways. All of these items fit into a lunchbox size soft bag with a zipper closeure. I even keep a universal bore guide in this bag as well. I use PVC pipe to carry/protect cleaning rods, and put some dense foam padding in the end caps to protect the rod tips. I used this system for about 3 yrs now, with no spills, bent rods or lost items. I keep this lunch box cooler bag in a plastic tote along with my spotting scope, targets, notepads, etc. etc. I have similar totes for my front rest, and rear bags, and other miscellaneous ranges items. I clean my rifles at the range, I have the gun out, just remove the bolt, get the cleaning rods and lunchbox bag and clean on the bench. The front rest and rear bag hold the rifle just fine, but I do hold onto the rifle to avoid accidents. I probably carry too much, (think of all the "stuff" needed for a newborn), and I'm close. Two totes stay in the bed of my truck all the time except when I'm towing the TT, a 3rd tote goes in when I shoot rimfire matches as that holds my front rest for that rifle, and a smaller 4th tote holds the rear bag/misc for the matches. Easy to load and unload from the truck when needed.
  5. Unless you have friends and family that will be able to do the things you want to do/have planned when you retire at 50, you will be bored, unless you enjoy doing things alone. Having the time and money to do retirement things at 50 is great (congrats) but not many people are/will be in that position due to them living their earlier years different than you in terms of saving, etc., Various other life commitments, such as kids in high school, college, grand kids keep most from doing what you are considering.
  6. Another yote vote here. JMO.
  7. All of the RE transactions I've been involved in (close to 10 moves +/- since the late 70's) some expenses are the sellers responsibility and some are the buyers responsibility. RE taxes are usually pro-rated to the date of sale, unless it's part of the agreement. A closing statement, or settlement statement details out where all the pennies come and go. Some expenses are negotiable, if not, then the "standard" method applies as a general rule. Did you get a legally binding contract on the sale with the terms detailed out, or just the "good 'ol boy" contract of "sure, I'll pay that for it " ??????
  8. No argument at all. The FL game may be a close one at times (accidents do happen) but the ALA game is close only before the game starts.
  9. Can't really argue with this at all. I wonder if UT will cancel the homecoming game so as to avoid some more embarrassment for the season.
  10. And I've only seen bits and pieces of #2. I do have it on the DVR but just haven't gotten to watching it. Wife moaned and groaned at the violence in #1, so been waiting for her to be gone for the day on a rainy day, but rainy days are FAR and FEW these days. Almost like a unicorn. LOl
  11. Should be more accustomed to a "loss" by that time then shouldn't we. LOL
  12. Not looking all that promising at this point. IIRC, Vandy scored 38 pts against LSU, ranked #4. Either Vandy's got a decent offense, or the #4 ranked team has no defense. Either way it's not looking good for UTK
  13. At least UTK is NOT winning this game, so to speak. LOL https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/arkansas-football/arkansas-sets-embarrassing-2019-record-for-biggest-payout-to-a-school-just-to-lose/?fbclid=IwAR2YNrG6UvHSNCOqlxSwaAaiEs7zDlcOQzN99sZNSFMeW73DzyUlfFHSefA
  14. https://www.guntrustguru.com/faqs Scroll down and you'll see where a woman in TX had a self prepared revocable trust declared invalid (aka not worth the paper used). Does not mention any weapons being seized. Also states that the ATF has not questioned the validity of any gun trusts, but don't know how recent the info in this link is. The ATF cannot just "declare" a trust invalid, only a court of law could make that determination. The author also seems to create some confusion with his wording of "revocable living trust" and a NFA gun trust interchangeably. In my mind, the two should not be used in this manner. A revocable living trust is a legal document just like the NFA gun trust is, but the two have totally different objectives IMO. The two have similar powers, terminology and objectives, and could be created/controlled under one document but only a well versed estate planning attorney familiar with ATF regs should be consulted if this is desired. A "canned" or boilerplate trust document from an online source would create some interesting legal issues IMO. I would use separate lawyers for each purpose but make sure both lawyers are aware of my intentions, so things would be laid out as I desired.
  15. Sounds like the ATF/Liberals/etc/etc won't really be able to compile a list of all gun owners for years, or decades, or longer based on the way the records are received in so many different ways and forms as there is no standardized (required) method for FFL's to track or record their sales. Then the record could go cold because the firearm in question was stolen, given away, etc., The article refers to microfiche machines being used for research, what a joke. That in itself can take hours or days for someone to find what they are truly looking for, and then the micro fiche itself could be in poor shape so the image is not legible, and then those fiche readers are no longer made, so when the bulb burns out, gov't employees will have to hire a contractor to replace, which will have to bid on the contract, etc., The ATF probably has a computer system similar to the IRS, one that is woefully outdated, has numerous software patches, and uses a card reader (Fortran programming) to do some simple function. And if the ATF has a newer/more advanced computer system at it's disposal, what software could they use to compile all of the information from all of those handwritten documents. The ATF would want/need custom software, and how long would that take to get written? I doubt any of us will see any thing close to a "master list" of gun owners in our lifetimes, or our grandchildren.
  16. That's funny. You must be running for an elected position... throwing out those "pie in the sky" promises. LOL
  17. I started with corrective lenses in the 7th grade, now wear progressive tri-focals. The only time I don't have 'em on is when I turn out the lights at night, and put 'em on before I take a step in the morning. Go see your eye doctor on a regular basis. I have to go every 6 months for early stages of glaucoma.
  18. https://www.aclu.org/other/how-usa-patriot-act-redefines-domestic-terrorism The definition of domestic terrorism is broad enough to encompass the activities of several prominent activist campaigns and organizations. Greenpeace, Operation Rescue, Vieques Island and WTO protesters and the Environmental Liberation Front have all recently engaged in activities that could subject them to being investigated as engaging in domestic terrorism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_terrorism Could it be those Bay Area folks are bending the rules to suit their own needs again??
  19. I remember the '98 season as well, it was a good year for sure. I just wish UT would be competitive in the SEC and contend for the SEC East title on a regular basis, and make it to the conference title game on a regular basis. Recent history has not shown anything close to that.
  20. He's hoping he gets another chance at the head coaching spot, then when he has to fire himself for poor performance while still being AD, he'll get that separation clause monies on top of the AD salary. Now that would be gaming the system wouldn't it.
  21. Maybe UT needs to promote it's football program as the "season opener" patsy or "homecoming patsy", then the azz whoopin's wouldn't hurt so bad cause the program could generate funds for the contract payoff's UT still owes or will owe in the future.
  22. Not much to discuss. UT did not show up to play football (again), got out played, out coached, out scored, etc., etc., Gonna be a long long season. Hurry up round ball.
  23. The legal aspect is it's only legal in that state (state level law) , the Feds still look at it as illegal at the federal level. The states are looking/wanting the tax revenue dollars, and maybe, just maybe they reduce one or more of the stats they keep so they can justify making it legal. I wonder what the IRS does with those tax returns when the occupation line states "marijuana producer". Why don't the Feds go bust 'em right then and there. Bet the Feds don't return the FIT checks sent along with those federal tax returns either. LOL
  24. We have 2 pair buzzing our house (I think ??) 2 males with the ruby rings around the throat, and then one female with a spot of ruby red on the throat (didn't know it was M or F until the above post). The other female does not have any ruby on her throat that I've seen, but could be wrong as they don't stay still for long. I seen a total of 5, maybe 6 playing "it's all mine, it's all mine (the feeders), when they all join in it looks like a WWII dog fight, just with supersonic midget fighters. LOL
  25. Yea tho I(she) walk thru the valley of death, I (she) will fear no evil. Will the be EDC for her, or as the need/desire arises??
