  1. I'm absolutely positively sure you feel better now.
  2. I've got a couple of the Leupold "Rifleman" series, one on a 223, and it has good glass for this level ($$) of scope. They come in 3x9 and 4x12 IIRC.
  3. The position of executor/personal representative is a "legal/fiduciary" position, and can only be recognized when the will is probated and the executor/PR is appointed by the court. The court will issue "letters of administration" which indicate who the executor/PR is. This document is necessary to perform the functions of PR. Your mother could decline to serve and then you be appointed as PR. Since NFA items are involved, you should probably do it the legal way so whoever receives the items in question do not have issues later down the road. The attorney you have should be able to do this at minimal cost, but it really depends on the attorney.
  4. We've been having 2-3 at our feeders. Two males and one female that I know of. I've seen 2 males at the feeder at the same time, and a female on her own. Wife keeps those filled.
  5. You mean someone on this board was being difficult, hard to get along with or sarcastic????
  6. empty 22RF cases, aka have already been fired (empty)
  7. All I carry is a small Swiss Army knife, the extra small version, so why would I have any desire to have one of GT's knifes???? Cause they look damn good. LOL
  8. I really do wish you (GT) would STOP these types of posts. You are wearing me down to the point I where I'm seriously considering buying one. So, just stop it. JK. You got some skillz in that craft for sure.
  9. I'm puzzled by the "useful and helpful idiots", never seen one or been around one.
  10. I've gotten a couple good (IMO) flashlights at Lowes, have adjustable light beam, LED, always work when I push the button. Luxpro I think is the brand, keep one or two in the RV and one in the truck.
  11. I "kinda" track my annual insurance expense(s) by the renewal premiums (comparing last yr to the current bill) but also have the history going back about 10 yrs or so. House insurance has basically doubled from 05 to current yr, just 2 companies and one claim from a hail storm (new roof on house and detached garage). Car insurance has done basically the same if not more, I've had 2 accidents in 15 months (neither my fault) and the premiums have gone up, but not any more than before my 2 boo-boo's. One agent when questioned about the increases, stated it was because of the tornadoes/hurricanes/pick your disaster that occur where they write insurance polices, and they spread the costs around. Kinda sucks but I guess it is better than keeping the cost adjustments to "in state" to some extent. If TN doesn't have any disasters, we still get to pay for those hurricanes and such in other states.
  12. Animals just taking care of their own. Wife showed me a picture of an elephant carrying a lion cub with it's trunk to a watering hole with the cub's mother walking beside the elephant. All for the good of the lion cub. Stupidity can have a high price tag.
  13. Prayers for all involved.
  14. Not particularly fond of sitting on an interstate overpass waiting on the traffic light (Lovell Rd in Knoxville for example) and you can feel the overpass bridge vibrating/bouncing from the other traffic like those 5-10 18 wheelers rolling across. Saw on the news last night that TDOT thinks an over sized load may have hit the bridge and weakened it, and then it finally gave way. No clue on who the over sized load belonged to, and the news clip also stated that traffic cameras cannot be used to investigate if this theory is true or not due to the source of funding for the TDOT cameras.
  15. Bet you could bust a prairie dog with one of those, if you could see the little bugger first. LOL
  16. Bergh assures his readers he doesn’t want to repeal the Second Amendment or suggest that gun owners aren’t responsible. He’s a former Army officer, after all, and he took an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Those constitutional rights don’t apply to everyone, of course. Bergh quotes retired four-star general Michael Hayden, who said in a promotional piece for the Giffords Center that “some people… should never have access to any weapons.” In a dramatic conclusion, Bergh explains that Levi Strauss has “never been afraid to take an unpopular stand to support a greater good,” highlighting his company’s support for integration before the Civil Rights Act and for same-sex couples all the way back in the 1990s. “While each one of these stands may have been controversial at the time, history proved the company right in the long run,” he says, courageously. “And I’m convinced that while some will disagree with our stand to end gun violence, history will prove this position right too.” Levi Strauss may have been at the forefront of the Civil Rights movement, but they’re hardly the first company to take a stand against Guns: The Great American Evil. Following the Parkland massacre, a variety of companies, including Walmart, Bank of America, Shopify, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, announced policies designed to curb the Second Amendment rights of their customers and business partners. Sounds like a business plan to capture the attention of future buyers of their products. If all the young snowflakes keeping shooting each other, they won't have any customers to buy their products. 17. I've got an iclever brand of these jump start batteries. Wife's car was a Cmax hybrid and if it was not driven in 7-10 days it seemed to go into a deep sleep mode or something, it needed to be jumped off. One guy came with one of the iclever brand ones and he said he had already used it to start a couple a 18 wheeler rigs earlier in the week and still had a 75% charge when he showed up for the Cmax. Haven't had to use it as we traded the cmax soon afterwards, but it still holds a good charge after several months of riding around in the trunk.
  18. Do they taste like chicken??? I ran over a snake with a Uhaul truck one time, made a loud pop like a tire blowing out. Snake didn't move after that .
  19. I keep the various solvents in small drip tip bottles that fit well inside a used coffee tub, the coffee tub lid keeps any smells down to a minimum or none. (Wife doesn't complain anyway). Patches are kept in the box along with the fold up Tipton gun cleaning rack. Rods are stored on a small rack over in the corner behind the internet router, jags and brushes in a MTM jag brush in the Tipton box as well. I have a similar set up for the range but everything fits in a soft side range bag the wife gave me except for the cleaning rods. They stay in a 2" pvc pipe with caps for travel protection, no damage in 2 yrs. I use my Bald Eagle front rest and rear bag to hold the gun while at the range. A multi-caliber bore guide fits in the range bag along with solvents in a small plastic coffee tub, the MTM jag box and patches. Has worked well for the past 2 yrs.
  20. Boxers are very protective of their family unit but great family dogs as well.
  21. Seldom get a 2nd shot at a 'yote, you miss, they be gone.
  22. Best wishes and prayers
  23. Missed the sarcasm I do believe
  24. While I'm no legal beagle, seems like if you have a permit from the City of NY, you could transport the firearm to a gun range w/o issue. JMO.
