We got 1-3" depending on which side of the house you look. Had no satellite signal when I got up at 6am or so, went out thru the man door in the garage, stepped off the concrete pad and snow up to my ankles. Had crocs on, bad decision there. Sat dish on the front of the house facing due South, it had 2" of wet heavy snow over the entire dish. Removed the snow and signal came back. The back porch is on opposite end of house, facing due North and is screened in. Frozen ice/snow mixture covered the screening material from the top to bottom, which is about 8' tall. Basically could not see thru the ice/snow mix that was frozen to the screening, the screen door was almost frozen shut. Had 4" of snow on the step at this door., with some slushy ice under the snow. The concrete pad in front of the detached shed facing south, had no snow or ice on it, but the driveway which runs north/south was covered in slush. LOL We had some decent winds whipping around here, swirling the heavy wet snow around like a tropical storm apparently.

I agree with Mich losing, but not sure about AL. A SEC champion would be good, but Cinn winning it all would be interesting to say the least.

If you head over to Tellico Plains for those sites mentioned above, go on up the river (aka Chahalla Skyway) to Bald River Falls. Go there when it's really cold, or after some heavy rains so the falls will be really flowing. The Skyway will take you over to Robbinsville, NC, a nice road with good views of the mountains. There is also a TWRA trout farm on one of the side roads, can see some really big trout as well.

Best wishes for nuttin to happen. Hope you don't feel bad, get sick, etc. You might want to reconsider getting tested, especially if you don't feel bad, etc., come next Monday. Could be a waste of your time.

I use inclement weather days to process/prep brass in larger volumes, or load some test loads up for the next range trip, maybe clean that rifle that needs a bit more scrubbing, etc. I have some loaded ammo I can use if needed, but unfortunately it is sometimes stored too far back under other "stuff" and I don't feel like digging it out. LOL.

How far are you willing to drive to trade SRP for LRP ?

I've got some 204R & 223 ammo I loaded in early '18 that I've had stored inside the house, in MTM ammo boxes and then inside MTM ammo crates, I recently shot some of the 204R ammo, it shot the same it did when in load testing, etc., No corrosion, no cold welding (possibly another discussion ), no silica packets inside any of the boxes, just stored on hardwood floors/under a metal shelf unit. I have a box of 223 ammo out to take for testing, and it looks as good (appearance wise) as the day it was loaded. This ammo was hauled out to SD on a varmint hunt/trip in my truck, so it was exposed to the temperature cycles during the 3 week trip. My truck has a one piece locking tonneau cover, and the trip was in late May, early June. I've also got some factory 204R & 223 ammo that is still in the original packaging, stored inside my house, no corrosion, etc. I recently shot some old 22/250 and 223 factory ammo from the late 90's. All went boom when I pulled the trigger. No corrosion, etc., House has a central HVAC system, crawl space only, hardwood floors throughout the house.

Just people doing good for someone they know or care about.

We had 30 mph winds or more, lost the cover to the TT, roof panel was dry rotted, and the wind just split it down the middle. Cover was laying on the ground all around the TT, not covering the TT. Cut the remaining material on the lower edge, and drug it into the shed. Luckily I got this done before the rain arrived. Wind also broke off one of the main upper forks of a cedar tree in the front yard. It was a nice looking cedar tree, now it looks funky from one side. LOL. Neighbor had 2 shutters blow off his house, with 2 hanging on for dear life. The power went out for about 25 minutes, when all was calm, no wind, no rain, etc., just like you turned the lights out. LOL

Google Teslong, it's a relatively inexpensive bore scope (<$100) with a small viewing screen or models that work with laptops/tablets. They work good, and will show you how well you are NOT cleaning your barrel. You can see all of the stuff inside the bore you always wondered about, and more. I now have the model with the small viewing screen and flexible shaft, works well, I've been working on removing some carbon rings in several of my older guns, that resulted from poor cleaning procedures on my part. I have heard/read where carbon rings can cause pressure spikes, resulting in blown primers, indicating hot loads, etc., when really the cause was poor gun maintenance.

Saw where far NW TN and the surrounding area got hit pretty hard on the news just now. Stay safe out there.

I lost one of my grandmothers to Alzhiemers, and the other one as well in all probability, it was just called dementia back in the late 60's, early 70's. I had a client when I was in the financial business who contracted one of the more aggressive versions, she did not last but 4 months or so after being diagnosed.

The only "issue" I have with the RAR action is the ejection port is on the smaller side, and if a shell doesn't move along the right path, it can be a PITA to dig it out. I've got small hands, so my fingers will fit inside the ejection port, but its still a PITA.

Yeah, you'll have some $$ in a RAR, it's possible to just buy one in the caliber you want for less $$, but there's not as much fun in that is there. My RAR would not shoot well (consistently) so I decided to swap barrels. Call PV and ask them what their barrel nut requires for proper install and torque. Savage wrenches are pretty cheap, and using the proper tools is better than messing up the nut, or not getting it torqued properly. You'll need a torque wrench as well I did not swap triggers, but did swap out the spring in the factory trigger for only $10-20. It's better, but not much, so... I do get compliments on my 6x45 RAR, I put it a Boyds AT-1 stock, bedded, etc., so it a shooter now, sub MOA at 200 so it was a success to me. LOL

I used a barrel vise, not a action vise when I swapped out the OEM barrel on my RAR and ordered a nut wrench from the barrel maker. Used a pipe wrench on the smooth oem nut. No real problems. I have the Wheeler barrel vise, works good, about $60 or so. Pony up and buy the go and no go gages if this is your first barrel swap. You'll feel much better when it comes time to pull the trigger that first time on your new creation.

First flu shot I got was in '73 or '74 while in college, got the worst case of flu ever. I know they have changed how the flu shot is made now, but I've never had any adverse reactions to just the flu shot after that first one. I did pass on the flu shot for several years tho. Last year I got the flu, shingles and pneumonia shots ALL at the same time. Can strongly recommend DO NOT DO THAT. Felt like crap for a long weekend.

I can just see the younger generation (today's kids) swapping out batteries. There would be those electric scooters littering the highways & byways. Talk about saving the planet. LOL I'm sure everyone has seen those "people" that have no business doing anything like swapping out a battery, much less using a hammer or screwdriver. LOL

Ask some GM VOLT owners how they feel about all electric cars. Earlier this year, GM advised Volt owners NOT to park their "car" inside, only outside and away from buildings/structures. Also, don't charge it up while unattended.
