I would definingly agree that to be the truth for the DIY'ers. On the other hand, I'm guessing the commercial service industry has taken a big hit in revenue because of it. There's been some repair/remodeling projects come up in the past that I've never done before and somewhat hesitant to tackle on my own until I've watched some videos. I usually come away with saying, "I can do that", assuming I have the proper tools. If not, buying the tools myself is still usually cheaper than paying someone else. .

Since this is already a little off topic, I use a Gum Creek mount to solve the problem you referenced. Explanation in the video link if you're not familiar. If you're interested they have 10% sale and free shipping, but it ends today. https://youtu.be/xpTpcFGWBJc

I guess I'm too late to the party. I'm assuming not seeing the original post/image is a good thing...

You know, it's one of them that the person you're aiming it at, stares into the end of the barrel before it goes bang...

Since the Shield is already a decent pistol especially for the price, I tend to agree with other on spending your money on ammo and practice time for the most part. There is one mod I added to mine that I really like and it was the Samson mag well for the extended mags. I posted about it here. As mentioned, as long as you plan to use the extended mags, I think it's worthwhile in my opinion. If you plan to run the flush mag sometimes, disregard. https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/109509-mp-shield-magwell-samson-mfg/?tab=comments#comment-1516368

Just curious, your comment led me to think you don't subscribe to the "Young Earth" theory, correct?

So sorry to hear this update. I'll continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

Just as additional heads up for folks regarding passport renewals, some countries won't accept passports that are due to expire within 6 months from your last travel date.

SGAmmo fan as well. Decent prices on the stuff I need, and quick shipments.

I've been with Farm Bureau for quite a while since their rates have been reasonable at least in my case. Throughout the years, low drama on the claims I've had for both auto and homeowners. They've always worked things out to my satisfaction.

We use Vipre at work and it's always done a good job and doesn't have all the "bloat" like some programs.

It may just be me but it seems all of Ruger's pistols over the last couple of years are a tad on the homely side. Not Hi Point ugly by any means, just not appealing to me. Yes, I know that looks shouldn't be a real factor in choosing a quality pistol, but most people do allow looks to play a bigger factor than we probably should.

Since they seem to be pushing the "rebuild" option, does that mean that replacing the slide for fee, if defective, is no longer a possibility?

While it's a shame that the consumers have lost the cost of the stock, that's a drop in the bucket to what the owner(s) of the company have lost. All that time, effort, and money now down the toilet for a law change that won't make a real difference in solving the problem. I'm guessing the gov will take the stance of using this as an "add on charge" if it's discovered, rather than the door knock method based on sales records, if they're smart...

Welcome. That's quite the cultural shock to say the least. Sorry to be of no help on your hunting question. -
Okay, I may be the only one that had this thought, but when I saw the thread title, I thought the discussion was going to be on identifying different model years of the Ford Raptor...

Nice truck, but you never told the story of how something like that happens... -
For clarification when you so no fees, do you mean no membership fee, or no fee to use the range? If it's the later, you're going to be out of luck unless you find a friend with a private range. Below is a link to help get you started for the state run ranges. https://www.tn.gov/twra/hunting/firing-ranges.html

Regarding not wanting to go the rescue option, there are some rescues that also have puppies available that wouldn't come with the typical "baggage" of older dogs. My wife and I mainly do puppy fostering for the group linked below. The link should take you to the browse dogs pages. I did a quick scan and there are numerous puppies currently available. There are currently 3 pages of dogs to browse. New dogs are being continually added so check back often. The individual dog's bio will tell if they are currently available for adoption. If you really take to a dog and it says, "adoption pending" you can still apply to adopt since the pending adoption might not go through. https://www.proverbs1210rescue.org/animals/browse?Species=Dog

If I only need a quick cleaning I've gotten quite fond of Hoppe's Boresnake Viper. My collection has grown to cover all my main calibers. http://www.hoppes.com/bore-snakes/boresnake-viper

I used to drive a '96 Volvo 850 (you know back when a Volvo was a real Volvo) and a dash light would illuminate anytime any exterior light was out + the third brake light located inside the car. The other thing they did on that car was it had separate high and low beam headlights, and all four bulbs were fused separately. They tried real hard to give you at least some amount of headlights to drive with at night if something happened. I always carried extra bulbs in the car since I couldn't truthfully say, "sorry officer I didn't know I had a light out".
