“Property rights and gun rights are very important to the Republican party,†she said. “What happened is that some of the gun advocacy groups felt very strongly that we needed to pass a bill that was a very broad bill. The way that gun reads, you could carry a gun right now to the nursery of this hospital and there’s nothing (officials) can do about it to stop you…The last line of the bill says every citizen can carry a gun wherever they want in this state. I don’t know if you want felons to do that, probably not.

Is she that void of intelligence, or does she simply think that we are??

As long as you guys keep voting for these idiots simply to "keep the Democrats out", you'll continue to reap the same reward. An "R" behing one's name doesn't mean a damned thing.

For this group, the R means "replace".

Either HB 3560 was too big for her to read (all 3 pages of it), or her reading comprehension skills are surpassed by my dachshund. Pray tell, what bill was she talking about?? I can't find language even close to what she suggests in any portion of HB 3559 or 3560.

Tony Shipley is meeting with the TFA chapter in Kingsport on June 19. Be interesting to hear how he, a supposed co-sponsor of this bill, defends her side of this story.

Definitely when it means RINO. That's what she is.

Very few conservatives in the Republican Party in Tennessee, starting at the top.

I have had quite a few conversations with Rep. Shipley regarding this, will be interested to know how he relates the "perceived v. actual" history as he put it to me. Having been personally involved with the two bills all the way through, I have some knowledge of the real goings on.

She should be removed from office for saying that. Any politician should.

The best place to do a smack down on these "R" as in RINO candidates will be coming up in August. The PARTY hates to see incumbents challenged in the primary, and few usually are, but it's the best place to do it. I'd almost rather have a demo than a rino.
