My Doctors aid that asks the questions, ask me if I drank alcohol or was allergic to latex. I was wondering if she was going to ask me out on a date.3 points

I think he meant how do you tell who the idiot is BEFORE he whips out and waves a loaded gun in your face? Kinda moot to ban the guy who just put a bullet in you.1 point

The vehicle analogy just doesn't work. How often do you disassemble and clean your car's engine? After every trip to the range? I doubt it. There is combustion (same as in a firearm) happening in every cylinder of that engine tens of thousands of times (ok, milliions probably if you drive more than a mile) every time you drive it. Modern powders and primers do not corrode a barrel. If it gets dirty (I mean actual grit) , clean it. If the bore fouls heavily with copper or lead to the point that accuracy drops or pressure rises, clean it. If you carry it through a rainstorm or drop it in a mudhole, clean it. If you shoot old, corrosive ammo, definitely clean it. If it's your carry or defense gun, keep it squeaky. And that's not for reliability purposes. I just want it to be obvious whether my gun has been fired or not. Otherwise, you're probably cleaning too much. Every point that Dolomite made above is valid and has been my standard practice for years. Notice that I did not say not to lube properly or wipe down any spot that you've touched, especially on a blued gun. Keep it lubed, but spare the (cleaning) rod. Will1 point

I would just load up on surplus ammo now while it's available. Those conversion cylinders cost almost as much as the gun does.1 point

I think it looks like the "wallet holster" that the at banned years ago. That's what it reminds me of anyway.1 point

I go to a gun shop for good prices, good selections and friendly people. If I don't get all three, I do not return. My gun shop has all three of these things. A Gun Buster sign, although it doesn't make a lot of sense, will not stop me from getting a good price on a firearm or accessory.1 point

Dave, It's all about choices...You can always choose to take a different job that doesn't require flying... Nobody is holding a gun to your head and requiring you to take that job... You make a choice to work at that company in that role. I left working for a large company about 5 years ago... I make less money today than I did when I worked there, but I'm my own boss, and don't have to worry about having to fly anywhere or go anywhere (other than government buildings) disarmed.... Oh yeah and I'm a lot more happy As for family vacations.. I want to visit Alaska... I think it would be fun to go up there and hunt a little, and just see the sights with my family... I refuse to fly anymore unless it's a life or death emergency... and I haven't figured out a way to get up there without having to leave my handgun here at home... so until I figure out a way up there, Alaska is off my vacation list... so we'll go somewhere else instead... So yes, flying is always a choice.1 point

I completely understand that. One of the reasons I do not fly is the high probability that I would get violent with someone who decides they need to grope on my daughter.1 point

Tried to watch the video, but could only take about 15 seconds of Alex Jones. I will say that the TSA has stopped any interest I have in flying. I have not been on a plane now in a few years, and will not be again so long as they exist. I find roads go anywhere I care to.1 point

Let me guess, speed cross 3s? I will not be so fast if my foot keeps hurting. Being fast, yes I am. Being accurate, not even close! See you on Saturday. I may need to slow myself down and wear flip flops(or high heels.....yes I know the jokes are coming because of the long hair).1 point

Yep. Bars could take a huge step toward contributing to public safety and making sure they aren't named in lawsuits for over-serving patrons who get into wrecks on the way home by posting: NO OPEN CONTAINERS OR CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON PREMISES. For that matter, hospitals/doctors' offices could probably cut back on malpractice suits (legitimate or not) by simply posting the following at their entrances: NO SERIOUSLY SICK OR INJURED PEOPLE ALLOWED. IF THERE IS A CHANCE YOU MIGHT DIE OR SUFFER OTHER, LONG TERM EFFECTS FROM YOUR INJURIES OR CONDITION, PLEASE SEEK HELP ELSEWHERE. THIS FACILITY DOES NOT ACCEPT PATIENTS WHO ACTUALLY NEED MEDICAL CARE. In both cases, though, it would kind of go against their whole purpose for existing and they probably wouldn't get a whole lot of customers. In other words, some types of businesses come with certain risks and if gun store owners want to totally avoid those risks then maybe they should be selling hypoallergenic pillows, instead. Again, I agree. A blanket ban and justifying that ban by saying that a few might use guns improperly sounds like a fitting tactic for the Brady bunch not someone who wants to make his livelihood by selling me one of those guns. Ban the person responsible and don't punish a whole group for the stupidity of a few.1 point

Any business that tells me my legally carried firearm isn't welcome is telling me that I'm not welcome and that my money isn't welcome either; and I'm happy to oblige them by NOT giving them my money. Any business who makes their money from the sale of firearms/firearms training, etc. bot doesn't want me to carry my legally carried firearm onto their property is not only telling me that they don't want my business but they are schizophrenic, inconsistent and perhaps moronic - they may feel they have legitimate and rational justification for their position; they may even have rational justification but I'm still not going to give them a dime of my money.1 point

This is apparently a pretty emotional subject for some people. Very simple for me. Gunbuster sign = no cash from me.1 point

My point is more that you are accepting a salary from the taxpayers to serve THEM. Not yourself.1 point

In your statement, there is an underlying implication that the officer holder is able to and is doing their job effectively. However, other than gong on vacation, campaigining is the only activity where Obama has show effectiveness....seems unfair to say he can't engage in about the only thing he is good at.1 point

I like that. At least for high offices and term limits on Supreme Court. Life time appointments should be a thing of the past.1 point

I think anyone running for any office should have to step down for any current political office. You can't do your job effectivly if you are running around campaigning. Bob Dole is the only one I ever saw do this.1 point
