My wife and I are expecting a baby come April!!! I used the photo below to announce it on Facebook. Should give my liberal friends something to think about. Got the idea from all these Pinterest photos my wife was showing me of shoes and things people were using to announce babies. Told my dad by giving him a G2.6, what I termed the "grand-baby Glock" haha 5 points

As well as those who did nothing to support their candidate. Voting only will no longer work. We MUST email, call, donate time or money in order to ensure we win the next election. Oh and do not vote for any incumbent that has proven to not represent us. I am going to vote against any incumbent regardless of party because first term representatives almost always try to do what is best for the county. It is only after they see thy are not getting rich they change and that takes a term or two.3 points

I-65 Closing for Coal Transport I-65 will be closed tomorrow across Tennessee and Kentucky. They are hauling a 200 ton lump of coal to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota so they can add Barack Hussein Obama to the Mount Rushmore monument. B. H. Obama has stated on national TV that he believes himself to be the fourth greatest U.S. President, behind Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln but greater than Theodore Roosevelt. They had to settle for coal, because they couldn't find a 200 ton piece of s**t.2 points

The more I read about this story the more rage I feel. This whole thing would have been over in less than a couple of seconds if the man was allowed to arm himself. Instead they were forced to rely on a police force who were too late, as usual, and a judicial system that rewards violent criminals and encourages these violent acts. We need to start purging these scum who have been unleashed on our population; we can't depend on the law to do it.2 points

Sounds like he should have run over a few more of them. This is what happens when the general public is conditioned to "let the 'authorities' handle it". And are often prosecuted when they administer a well-deserved beat-down to some a-hole. This I a bit of a tangent, but does anyone remember 9/11/01? That would have NEVER happened if it weren't for the aforementioned conditioning to sit back and let the "authorities" handle things. If the first two-legged cockroach who stood up and started screeching 'allahu akbar' had received a knife blade in his brainstem (yes, you could still take a pocket knife on a flight back then. I had one in my pocket on a flight one month before that happened), the rest may have rethought their plan or suffered the same fate. Likewise with those worthless slimebags on those bikes. If one group of them got steamrolled by a jacked up 4x4 or ventilated by an AR, the next group likely wouldn't be so bold. Before somebody blows a gasket and claims that I'm comparing Sept 11 to this incident, I am not. I AM saying that this country has become a society of panty-waists, by design and by law, and this is a result of it. I better go to bed. I'm cranky. Will2 points

So he could ship every, single black person out of the country and use them to start colonies in South America that would be under U.S. rule. He was an Imperialist and a tyrant. He also didn't want blacks and whites interbreeding which was another reason he wanted blacks out of the U.S. and away from the white population. If he hadn't been assassinated, he likely would have at least made an attempt to go forward with his plan. In one of the debates between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas, Lincoln made the following statement: This can be found on page 283 of a book entitled The Lincoln-Douglas Debates The First Complete, Unexpurgated Text, edited and with an introduction by Harold Holzer. Do not forget that Lincoln also signed off on one of the largest (if not the largest) mass execution using the largest mass-gallows in United States history. The people being executed were Native Americans who were accused of crimes resulting from an uprising. Thing is, the uprising came about because the Mr. Lincoln's Federal Government was not honoring treaties which promised supplies to those Native Americans. They and their families were literally being starved and some of them decided to do something about it. According to some sources, some of the Native Americans hanged weren't even present or involved in the 'uprising'. Further, Lincoln sent that wonderful humanitarian William T. Sherman to deal with the "Indian problem" after the Civil War had ended. History has spun Lincoln's choice to use slavery as a politically expedient means of justifying his war against sovereign states as some desire to establish racial equality. His own statements show that he wasn't all that concerned with racial equality and that he, in fact, did not believe that the races were equal in any way. Other statements - including a letter he wrote to a newpaper in response to an editorial - indicate that he really didn't care whether slavery ended or not, saying that what he did regarding slavery he did to preserve the Union and that if he could preserve the Union by not freeing a single slave then that is what he would do, if he could preserve the Union by freeing all the slaves then that is what he would do and that if he could preserve the union by freeing some slaves and not others then that is what he would do. The Emancipation Proclamation only 'freed' slaves in states or portions of states that were currently in rebellion. States or portions of states where slavery was legal and that had either not rebelled or had be re-taken by Union forces were not included in the Proclamation. As the states that were still in rebellion were under the authority of the CSA and not the USA, Lincoln really had no power in those states. Therefore, the Emancipation Proclamation in actuality did not free any slaves. Again, it was a political move. Many people likely also do not know that one of the first moves that the Confederate government made was to make it illegal to bring any new slaves into Confederate states. The slaves who were already there were not freed but no new slaves were to be introduced. I guess we will never know how things would have proceeded from there - if slavery would have eventually died out or not. Some accounts claim that slavery was being rendered economically unsound by inventions such as the cotton gin, etc. in that it would soon become less of an investment to simply hire a few workers than to own a slave workforce. Some even claim that slavery on a mass scale would have more or less died out on its own by the mid 1870s, anyhow. As I said, I don't know if that would have been the case and we will likely never know. Just a little more history that is not commonly taught in schools.2 points

I'm pretty sure you and I pay for it as well. My health insurance went up $150 a month to "help" pay for obamacare. As far as I'm concerned them bundling in the phone is part of the deal. Someone is paying for it and that someone is us. The government gave them the loan to provide the service, and who pays for that? We do2 points

If anything, our support for Israel should simply be because its the right thing to do. They've been invaded multiple times by their neighbors and one state in the region seeks to wipe them from the earth. They remain one of the few allies we can keep from being invaded again without ever worrying about committing troops. However, if we turned our back on Israel tomorrow, they would not last long. Unlike countries such as Kuwait, Israel doesn't expect us to do the fighting for them; they just need someone in their corner. To abandon them would be dishonorable, in my opinion. A more simple reason is that very evil people want to destroy Israel. We should not stand by and let evil terrorize the free world, especially when we expected, and got, so much support from the international community after 9/11.2 points

I carried a P90 and an extra mag for years. Now I carry M&P .40 with three 15 round mags and one in the chamber and still feel like I'm short. If I wasn't worried about leaving my AR in the truck overnight, I'd love to have it in there also. I just hate carrying it out everyday with nosey neighbors, yeah it's in a case, but until I get a guitar case like in The Mexican, it looks like a gun case. What's sad, is so many people would be just like the family in the suv, no way to protect themselves, and I'm mad because I only have 46 rounds at all times along with a 100 round box of ammo in the console. I carry this every day in and out of the car, all day long except while inside at work. I guess most are happy to lay down and be a victim, not me.....well and most of y'all on TGO as well.1 point

Latest: Woman driving nuts around capitol in black Infiniti. They forced her stop once at gunpoint, but she took off again, finally shot her (multiple shots fired). One officer hurt somehow or another likely by her car itself, or fell or something. One police car damaged running into car or barrier or something. Got her out of car alive, she later died. No indication she shot a gun or even had a gun. Both Houses gave standing ovation for the Capitol Police. Maybe mostly correct, maybe not. - OS1 point

The point I'm making is that people are often claiming to know God's intentions and will beyond what is in the Bible, and they do so by interpreting events to suit their opinions. For example, the Westboro Baptist Church claims that "God hates fags" and therefore equate the deaths of US military servicemembers as God's wrath for society condoning homosexuality. It's rediculous. Gay sex may be a sin in the Bible, but when you attribute events to divine intervention on behalf of scripture you are now attempting to speak for God. It's no different than if I just randomly pick an innocent person suffering from cancer and say they are suffering God's wrath because of the sins of our country. Who the f*** am I to speak for God? I'm sure if He has something to say, He'll say it Himself.1 point

Fellow TGO'rs, just to let you know, about some closures. Fort Campbell has limited hunting and fishing opportunitys, LBL is closed and Cross Creeks Wildlife Refuge is closed to hunting and fishing. Most all government land, parks and refuges are closed. Check before you go. It's a damn shame when "We the People" get locked out of land we own! DS1 point

If it were to really come down to it, and staying put was not a viable alternative, my BOV is a combination of a litlle Dodge Dakota 4X4, a mountain bicycle and a 16 foot canoe with a cart. Since my BOL is quite some distance away (I could get there strictly via canoe, but it would take several months), I figure to go as far as the pickup would get me, then hook the canoe cart to the back of the bicycle (the cart was designed specifically for that purpose) and travel on. If traveling via bike becomes problematic or unviable, then the nearest waterway will suffice until such time as I can once again safely travel by land. Having puncture proof tires on both bike and cart insures less maintenance and fewer tools to be carried while increasing odds of success while traveling overland and/or portaging. And I can carry everything I need and then some in the canoe whether on water or towed behind the bike on land. Folks were traveling the continent via canoe & horse for hundreds of years before the first automobiles came along, I'd just be adding a modern and slightly more effective and efficient twist to my travels... ...TS...1 point
